Manoli's Pizza Company was created with family in mind.
My father, Manoli Placourakis, was born in 1925 and raised on the largest of all the Greek Islands,
Crete...where the weather and water are beautiful year- round, where seafood, vegetables, and fruit are plentiful and where the bread, cheese and wine are all handcrafted, the old fashioned way. Rhonda and I are raising our son, named after my father and born on Maui in 2004, on a beautiful island with similar qualities to my father's birthplace. This leads us to Manoli's Pizza Company. Our fare here at Manoli's is centered on fresh, organic, and sustainable products whenever possible in crafting all of our pizzas, salads, and even when choosing the wines on our list. Manoli's is where healthful, flavorful foods and beverages come together in a place where friends and family meet.
As 'big Manoli' used to say,
"Treat your friends like family and your family like friends".

"Renovated space is much nicer than the old Matteo's. However, wine list was disappointing. We are are used to paying up in restaurants for premium wines but $50 for a bottle of "weeknight" Sonoma Cutrer misses the mark. The Frescobaldi was served too warm and when we asked to put it on ice for a bit, the waitress brought out a glass of ice as if we were going to put ice in our wine as opposed to putting the bottle in an ice bucket! The kids' menu is priced oddly ("all you can eat" for kids so small that they rarely eat all of anything). Lastly, the Greek salad whihc was a treat at Matteo's was a bowl of tomatoes, cheese and olives with no greens."

"Quite busy on a Wednesday night, service a little slow due to large volume of oven-fired pizzas and small brick oven, overall quality of food was very good however and open air patio and views are incredible!"

"OK pizza, not great. House salad was good. Very noisy although they did turn the music down when I asked. Nice open air dining looking over golf course. Very casual, good for families and friends meeting for drinks after a day at the beach."

"My wife and I were staying at the Marriott Wailea and were looking for simpler fare within walking distance from the hotel. The shopping mall has options that are crowded and overpriced. Manoli's is just a few yards up the hill and a welcome change. Decent view over the golf course, great service and not too pricey. We also liked the food so much we ate there twice.
In honor of Ebert - two thumbs up!"

"Our party had made a reservation for 7:00 PM, and arrived at the set time. However, due to the restaurant's inability to prepare and fulfill the reservation, we were stuck waiting till 7:30 to be seated; while the hostess ignored us and made every gesture to put us out of sight out of mind. We were seated eventually. Our waitress greeted us, offered us drinks of room temperature water. She informed us that if we would like to order pizza, it would be 1.5 hours. She advised us to order salads and bread (really racking up the bill), the lettuce was warm and the salad was less than satisfactory. In good company, and being a pizza place, we ordered pizza and decided to die of starvation. When the pizza arrived, it was horrible. NOT WORTH IT."

"Only go here if you have a whole evening set aside for pizza. Don't expect any drinks to be filled during your hour and ten minute wait to get your food after ordering. Salads came in 10 min then another 20 for garlic bread that we ordered as we sat down. The pizza came 70 min after ordering. The owner was visible in the restaurant but never came over to any table despite some of us sitting ther for over 2 hours. Horrible service and average pizza. I'll bet the next time we come to Maui they are out of business"

"This place has gone wayyyy downhill since it changed from Matteo's in April. Clearly with the expanded space, the kitchen far to small to support the number if seats in the restaurant. Expect to wait over an hour for you food. Avoid this place at peak tourist times. The food is okay, but not worth the poor service."

"We had a horrible experience. We had reservations and still waited half an hour for a table. We were seated and finally had to ask the maitre d' for water. We had to wait another 20 minutes before ordering and it was an hour and a half before we received our food. The servers were frazzled, and the restaurant is hugely understaffed. The pizza was soggy, but spinach salad good. It is a shame for the the restaurant is in a lovely location and has good ambience."

"Fantastic food and the waiter we had made our night, sorry I can't remember his name. The only bad thing was we unfortunately came a night a large group with a full table of kids basically distroyed the atmosphere. The adults all sat at a large table and let he kids sit at another table without adults and the noise was ridiculous. We will go back and hopefully enjoy the setting more because the food is worth a second chance."

"We were greeted promptly at the entrance and our reservation was honoured on time. The service, food and atmosphere were all good, as well as there was ample room for parking. The portions of the toppings on the pizza could have been more generous, otherwise it was great."

"This was probably one of the worst meals I've had in some time. The pizza crust was frozen and not made fresh and the pasta dishes tasted like I was eating a can of Chef Boyardi...Would not recommend this to anyone."

"We arrived at 5:30 pm for an early dinner and the server and the food we ordered (pizza for 2 kids, salad for spouse and me) initially came out on time. We realized it wasn't enough, so we ordered 1 more pizza as the restaurant was filling up. An hour later after asking about the status (from a new server as our original one never returned) and being reassured it was on its way, it finally appeared. I assume that since other customers came and went in the interim, the second pizza order wasn't put in for at least the first 45 min. However, in their defense, they did comp us the second pizza and a few glasses of wine, and were very apologetic. But what should have been a 1 hour dining experience turned into an almost 2 hour excursion."
