"I have been to Bistro 241 on several occasions and have enjoyed the experiences immensely. I feel quite capable of offering my views on this exceptional establishment. This is a gem of a restaurant located in Pineapple Grove in Delray Beach, Florida. Ellie, the owner, is a gregarious fellow who loves what he is doing and certainly knows how to operate a restaurant. The menu caters to all tastes and the preparation of the meals are excellent. The staff is very well trained and adept at what they are doing. The owner will explain in detail every item listed on the menu and have quite a conversation about the wines that he personally chose for the restaurant. Anybody who enjoys great food should be heading to Bistro 241."

"This was our first experience at this restaurant and we will be back. Our meals, four of us ordered three different entrees, were outstanding. We all raved about taste, appearance, and overall quality of our meals. The owner came to our table to make sure that we were pleased with everything. He was attentive as was our waitress, but not overbearing. My scallops were the best I have ever had and my husband loved his yellowtail snapper dinner. We certainly will be back and highly recommend this restaurant."

"Most visitors to Delray Beach stay on Atlantic Avenue. Hidden away in the Pineapple Grove Arts District are a number of fine restaurants. Our favorite is Bistro 421. The food is excellent, the service is superior and the owner, Ellie, will make you feel right at home. If you want to have a great night out Bistro 421 is the place."

"We've dined here half a dozen times over the past few months and never failed to enjoy excellent food, wonderfully prepared and presented and there is never a problem substituting side items with the main dish if there is a dietary problem. This time I had the mussels which were plump, tender and tasty, and the scallops over mushroom risotto which was delicious. We highly recommend Bistro 241 and each different couple we dined with share that assessment."

"We celebrated Mother's Day at Bistro 241. The prices were reasonable, the food was good, and we were served by the owner and his sister. They were very warm. Our entire group of 9 were very happy. This restaurant is only about 6 months old (as of 5/2013). Would love to see it have a long and lively existence."

"Bistro 241 is a unassuming looking place, but with a great menu, great food and a wonderful feel to it. We have now been there 4 times without any disappointments. "This was my second visit in 2 weeks - even had the exact same meal because I enjoyed it so much the first time - the beet salad and the chicken paillard were excellent! Also enjoyed the pita and hummus (complimentary) and the interesting wine list. Our waiter Alex was a pleasure - so personable and enthusiastic ! And he did a great job too, in a friendly manner. Elli the owner was truly glad to have us there - a very hospitable host ! The parking is a huge asset - easy to park in the "impossible to park" downtown Delray area ! We will be back."

"We dined there recently on the recommendation of a flight attendant on a recent flight. Thanks Susan!!!! We loved Bistro 241. So refreshing to start out with the hummus and wheat pita. Nice change from the "white breads" we so often see these days. We both started with the caprese salad, which was just delicious and a very large portion. Glad I didn't finish mine and saved room for the main course. The scallop with risotto was outstanding, short ribs were a huge hit too. We skipped dessert but enjoyed a delightful cup of fresh coffee to top off our wonderful dinner. There is lots of competition in Delray for great restaurants, but this one is definitely a keeper....we will be back!!! Thanks too to the owner who was very visible and helpful."

"We have dined at Bistro 241 with different couples 5 times over the past few months and we and each couple have thoroughly enjoyed the experience. Food is excellent, service exceptionally accomodating and we highly recommend Bistro 241 for a great meal. We also like its Pineapple Grove location - close to Atlantic Ave, but without the noise and traffic. The soups are homemade and thick with the main ingredients. The meat dishes such as short ribs with winter vegetables or lamb oso bucco were excellent as were all of the fish dishes from salmon, to yellowtail, to grouper to scallops over risotto. And desserts from chocolate lava cake to lemon/raspberry parfait to creme brulee topped the meals perfectly."

"We went to Bistro 241 for my mom's 70th birthday party tonighy and it was the BEST!! We had 15 people including my 4 year old son and we were all accomodated perfectly. Everyone was comfortable and taken care of so graciously and warmly! Our host, the owner, Eli, was willing and helpful! It made our whole evening so amazing and unforgetable! I live in Sarasota and my mom lives in Delray so I didn't know this restaurante first hand. I trusted the reviews and was not sorry at all! It was amazing! The food was delicious and our party ordered everything from the scallops, to salmon, to roast chicken, to shrimp and no one was the least bit unhappy! Everyone loved the ambience! Great music! Great wait staff! Seriously people, the best!!!"

"We LOVE this restaurant! We have had wonderful meals there four times in the past few months and each time the food is fresh, interestingly prepared and presented, delicious and reasonably priced for the top quality. In past visits I have had a great short rib platter and an enjoyable lamb osso bucco special, as well as the best mushroom soup I've ever had. This visit each of the six in the party had fish dishes or scallops and all were delighted. They are exceptionally accomodating to any food restrictions and cheerfully make appropriate substitutions when asked. The wine list is good and we have tried a different wine each visit without disappointment. Topping off the enjoyable evening were excellent shared desserts."

"This new Delray bistro is run by a personable young man whose parents operate a very popular bistro in Delray also. The place is attractive and chairs are very comfy. The menu is interesting and the food is skillfully prepared. Notable is the carefully chosen wine list and the very fair pricing that encourages diners to enjoy a bottle with dinner. The place has been open about 5 months and some of the finer details of plating and serving need to evolve to go from very good to excellent. I have no doubt this will occur and I will be back."

"We have been to Bistro 241 5 or 6 times. It is one of our "go to" places for dinner with friends. The food is very good, and the restaurant is a very comfortable place to hang out. The service is never rushed . . . and the maitre'd and wait staff are helpful and friendly.
The restaurant is family-owned and some of the recipes come from "mom."
Our latest meal was with two other couples . . . all liked the food, and the maitre'd's recommendation re: wine was spot on.
We have sat outside and inside . . . both are charming, in different ways."

"What a great restaurant in Delray Beach. The service was excellent. Kristi was great. The food was delicious. We had the snapper and rigatoni Both were cooked perfectly and the presentation was beautiful. A must is the chocolate molten cake for desert. A wonderful evening. Elie has a gem."

"First time - beet salad was terrific, shrimp linguine tasty but a bit overcooked - came topped with shaved parm not stated on menu. they redid dish without cheese - no problem. Mussel appetizer was very good. Servers were very pleasant and helpful but staff did not seem organized. lemon pudding dessert had strange grainy texture from lemon peel - not pleasant - sent back. bartender was adequate. may try again but with so many other places in DT Delray it may be a while."

"Lovely restaurant with terrific food. This Pineapple Grove area of Delray is really on a roll with an uptick of good restaurants. Bistro 241 is locally owned and works with locally produced food. Salmon was wonderful. The calamari salad was very tasty and with a good twist, the calamari was not fried! We also has a lovely Caesar salad."

"We absolutely loved our visit to Bistro 241. The food was AMAZING, great atmosphere, service was prompt and fun. The owner checked on us quite often to make sure our visit was a good one. "When we arrived at the restaurant the owner was like a "crazy" man running around serving dinners We said we had reservations; the owner didn't seem to care (never even checked)and said we would have to sit outside or at the bar; they had nothing else available RESERVATIONS MEANT NOTHING We would have left except all the restaurants around were busy Ended up sitting outside even though it was quite windy and chilly, everyone outside was complaining The restaurant across the street brought out their heaters!! We were told this restaurant also had them but wouldn't use them The wait staff was WONDERFUL, the mussel appettizer FANTASTIC, main dishes and desert were good. WILL NEVER GO BACK DUE TO OWNER'S ARROGANCE!!!"

"This was our 2nd time at Bistro 241 and it was too noisy; the crowd of people who hovered at the entrance to get a table was extremely distracting and interrupted our dining experience. Need to do a better jobj managing the flow in the restaurant. What was different this time, was that there were several tables of large groups... which contributed to the noise level, along with the throngs standing at the entrance. Note: It was coolish out, and therefore everyone wanted to eat indoors; fewer people were eating outside. You could use some sidewalk heaters for outdoors, which would give some relief to the inside dining."

"the food was delicious - had the arugula salad and the pork chop and both were really good! And portions are quite generous. The service was fine, but the waitresses were literally running - it made the place feel a bit frantic. The owner should hire a few bus boys - it would make the evening a bit more relaxing. The decor is blah. Next time I will elect to sit outside - they have a nice outdoor dining area. The by the glass wine list is too limited."

"On each visit we have enjoyed excellent meals, warm hospitality and fine, accomodating service. Fresh yellowtail snapper was perfectly prepared and beautifully presented. "If it wasn't for the manager/owner we would go back and recommend this restaurant to others. Unfortunately, he was the most obnoxious/nasty manager we have ever experienced in eating out. When I asked him why he was so nasty his response was that some of the other customers earlier in the evening were too demanding and he assumed I would be as well. There were no apologies. Without getting into the details, there were three other parties that had the same experience and said they would never return. Some of the staff also expressed how difficult he was as well and told him he was booking too many people at the same time. He clearly does not understand what it means to deal with customers."
