"One of the best restaurants in Vegas. Best baked oysters in Nevada. I have searched. Katherine's in Mesquite held this position until I tried Redwoods. Wow. Delicious. Rest of the meal and wait staff were also superb. 10 years of Vegas dining and this is where there standard is set. Good stuff!"

"Porterhouse steak special was a excellent deal. Salad with dressing on the side. Baked potato with everything, porterhouse cooked to medium, perfectly cooked. Server even came back to see if steak was cooked correctly. Service was polite and attentive without being overbearing. Dessert was ok. A good value meal in a very nice restaurant."

"Appetizers: sufficient selections. Enjoyed sashimi very much.
Salad/soup: fresh & crisp! Shrimp bisque was very good.
Entrees: lamb chops excellent as was the porterhouse steak & sea bass specials. Ahi special wasn't up to par b/c it was cut too thick And the batter was also too heavy due to thickness. String beans slightly overcooked
Deserts: enjoyed crime boule & carrot cake
Wine: very nice Argentinian Malbec which was moderately priced."

"Every item was excellent. It was our first time there & we definitely want to return. We went in with others who had been there before but were not prepared for enjoying everything ordered. I made the mistake of filling up on the bread & sauce from our seafood appetizer. I had lamb chops and my son had filet mignon both excellent. Included with entrees was cream of broccoli soup with crab and dessert was apple dumpling, both of which were worthy of being a meal by themselves."

"food was great our waiter was rude and had no interest. spilled water and ice on bread plate no sorry or replace plate had to ask about specials. basically dropped beer bottle on table did not spill but waiter just walked away.This is too bad the prices are great and food awesome. "My wife ordered king crab legs and she was in crab heaven. The price was reasonable and she had a pound and a half. I ordered the rib steak which was lean and a little tough. I was a little disappointed with my steak. The dessert menu was limited. Overall I would rate Redwood Grill a 3 out of 5."

"We try and visit every time we're in LV and it never disappoints. The "steak special" is great with fabulous bread, great salad, large (18 oz) beautifully prepared Porterhouse steak and the simple, yet soooo good apple dumpling with ice cream.
I can long for the days when this "special" was $10.00 (and included shrimp in the salad and I think soup too), but this dinner at $24.00 is still a great bargain. The only negative is that we have the steak special as a tradition and miss out on some of the other great things - onion soup, prime rib, etc. We always think next time we'll go ala carte, but haven't yet.
The service is friendly, welcoming and professional - a great combination.
It's not a Morton's or a Palm or even Ruth's"
