Buca di Beppo serves authentic Italian cuisine in an eclectic, vintage setting. Our dishes are served family-style, meant to be shared by everyone at the table. Two sizes are available: BUCA SMALL feeds up to two and BUCA LARGE feeds up to four. At Buca, guests delight in our lively atmosphere, enjoy the classic tunes of Frank Sinatra and Dean Martin and admire our décor, including family photos and candid shots of Italian-American icons, such as Sophia Loren and Joe DiMaggio. "This was our second visit and we were a little disappointed in the food taste and amount served.
Manicotti - Only received four pasta rolls, should have been at least six to serve two people
Fettucine Alfredo with Shrimp - There was a lot of pasta with very few shrimp for the added cost. The pasta was not seasoned well.
Garlic bread with Motzarella - Very good and plenty of it.
Caprese Salad - Motz with tomato slices - Very nice and enough for three people.
Service staff was friendly and efficient.
Enjoyed the noise level; provided background that still allowed us to talk."

"My son took me to dinner for mother's day. Although we had reservations I still expected a wait for our table and our food. Surprise, we were seated immediately, our waitress arrived for our drink orders within seconds and our dinner order was taken once the drinks were quickly delivered. Outstanding service!! Our meal was on the table within ten minutes!! The food was delicious.. we love Buca!"

"My husband took my mother and I here for Mother's Day. We were seated right at our reservation time. Food was delicious and our waitress, Debra, was outstanding. Our five year old son is a picky eater and the restaurant gladly made him a cheese pizza without sauce."

"First time eating there and just surprised to find the food only average and actually bland. The service was good, staff is very pleasant but this is really not authentic Italian fare. A good place for families I guess with family style dining, but much too loud for anything else. Tables set too close together. Biggest disappointment was they were "out" of tiramisu....uh...it is an Italian place, right? And we had an early 6:30 dinner so , go figure. Probably won't return."

"The atmosphere at Buca di Beppo in Macon is busy but comfy. Service was initially slow, but progressed into high gear after our appetizer round. The four of us shared small plates of Prosciutto Stuffed Chicken (my fave), Chianti Braised Short Ribs, and Quattro al Forno. We ended with a Colossal Brownie Sundae served in a giant martini glass. It was yummy. For three of our group, it was a first-time visit to this restaurant chain, and the decision was unanimous that we would return."

"My husband and I were celebrating our 20th anniversary. I had wanted to try Buca since my last visit to Macon but they were booked.
I had a white wine sauce pasta dish with artichoke, sun dried tomato and peas. It was good, just be ready for all the different flavors (which is exactly what I wanted) Never have been much of a bread dipped in oil & vinegar person, prefer warm bread & butter. My husband had the eggplant parm and enjoyed it.
I think the most exceptional part of the lunch was the service. Our waiter was EXCELLENT!"

"The food was outstanding! The ambience was pleasant and interesting. Our waitress was slow, inefficient, and quite lackadaisical. We constantly had to wave someone down or eat very loudly to get the attention of a server. We spent $100 for a lunch for four. The food was worth it- but left a bad taste in my mouth because of the service."

"This is probably the tenth time we have eaten at the Buca in Macon and fine it a very pleasant place. We like the family oriented atmosphere eating style, the service, and of course the food. My girlfriend and I find the Buca a great meeting place where we are able to share a couple glasses of fine wine, order to our hunger level, and the ambience is quiet enough we can engage in personal conversation. We are both 60+ and had our first meeting at teh Buca di Peppo in Macon."

"The restaurant was easy to find online in the area. I really enjoyed being able to make a reservation online and have first class service upon arrival to the restaurant. "My hubby and I love Buca!! We literally eat there a couple of times a week! However, we were very disappointed with the Alfredo. Maybe we are just so used to all the flavor we get with everything else. This was just bland and dry with barely any sauce! Buca is still our favorite, but we won't be ordering Alfredo again!"

"Went for my wifes birthday....Food was excellent.. However, we sat for almost 15 min before our waitress came to greet/take our drink order, and that puts us getting our drinks 20 min or so after getting seated... The food was excellent and the cheese cake was out of this world... The initial wait kind of took away from it being our first visit though, especially when it came time to pay the 70+ dollar dinner bill...."

"We went with a group before the recent Elton John concert, explained to our server that we needed to eat and get out of there so we could get to the concert. We presented the server with a coupon we received via email for free ravioli when we ordered. When our food arrived, the ravioli was not there, it arrived well after most of our meal had been eaten. And then our server, who had been pretty attentive up to this point, disappeared, with our check - why does this always seem to happen? We were delayed probably 10 minutes or so longer than was necessary. Too bad, other than these two things, our meal had been delicious and fun."

"I had an online reservation for a 4-person table for 7:15PM on 3/9/13. On arrival, we were taken to the rear of the restaurant adjacent to the server area. There were only 3 chairs. The seating waitress took us back to the front for a better table. We had passed 4 other tables for 4 that were empty. The hostess at the front stated we would have to take the rear table and a 4th chair would come OR we would have to wait for an hour to get a better table even though we passed 4 empty tables along the way. This was not the experience I expected when I had out-of-town visitors and I had recommended the restaurant to them. That left me embarrassed. The highlight of the evening was the waiter (David C.). $5 each for meatballs!!"

"We made our reservations on line and I specifically stated that it was our first time coming and we would be celebrating a 40th anniversary. Upon arrival we were immediately seated at the very back of the restaurant at a table that should have been for two people as the traffic was too heavy to comfortably sit four. We asked to be moved and were accommodated. I don't know if the comment section was read when I made our reservations but I think that better care could have been taken to seat us at a better table. With all that being said our service was great and the food fantastic! We left with four jars of your marinara sauce as we really enjoyed it! We will be back."

"Our first experience at Buca di Beppo was very good. The food was delicious. The menu states that the small portion will feed 2 people, so we got 3 small dishes for the six of us. We had enough left over for everyone to take some home. Also, the waitress was very helpful and attentive. We were seated in a small room with about 5 other tables, but the noise was not bad at all. I will definitely eat here again."

"We sat at the special "kitchen table" actually located in the kitchen. The experience was fantastic. Not only was our food outstanding (the apple crostata desert was the best ever) the kitchen staff, the chef and our waiter made you feel like part of their kitchen family. One last thing, we have never seen such large food portions at any resturant - plan to have another delicious meal at home with the leftovers. Great value - Great Place!!!"

"Our reservation was at 7:00 PM and the hostess was sort of rude to us when she could not find our reservation on her list at first. Then she asked us to wait over to the side because we were a little early (about 10 minutes)for our reservation and she said she could not seat us until 7:00. Many others came in after us and got seated immediately. After we had waited over to the side for 20 minutes and watched others come and get seated, I asked her if she had forgotten us or what and she seated us then. The rest of the evening went well and the food was delicious as always."

"Went to Buca with five other couples for Valentine's day. We were seated in the pourch area but it felt like a large private room. We were all able to have a nice conversation without raising our voices. the food was great and the service was excellent. Everyone was so happy that they have already asked when we will be going back. My wife and children found a Buca in FL. this weekend and had just as nice an experence for lunch.
My wife's birthday is tomorrow and she has asked to return to Buca for her special BD meal."

"The first three times my husband and I visited Buca di Beppo Macon, we loved it. However, during our last two visits the service seems to have gone downhill. The matradee told us we could be seated, then told us to wait, then told us she was sorry and we were being seated. Not sure what the confusion was about. Then it seemed like the girl who seated us was friendly to my husband and totally ignored me. It was Valentine's Day, she doesn't need to be flirting with married men. Our waiter seemed stoned, tipsy, or general depressed that it was Valentine's Day. Refills and napkins were promised, but not delivered until we're done eating and ready for the check. Don't bother asking about their Italian soda, because their always out of it."

"Even though my wife and I had reservations for 7:00 we still had to wait to be seated. We had difficulty understanding the server when he spoke. We were told that we would have to leave the table by a specified time so the next family could be seated. We felt like we were being rushed. The quality of the food wasn't worth the price and the wait! The food and drinks were over priced for what one receives."

"The only complaint pertained to our reservation which was made two days in advance for 5 at 6:00 pm. We arrived approximately 15 minutes early. The diners that were seated at our table were still there; we were told that we would be moved so that we could be seated. I agreed if we would not be crowded into a table in the corner. I was told that would not be the case. We were seated in the "Wine" room but there were two large parties there already. Our table was in a corner located in the path of the servers going in and out to the kitchen. This was not a very comfortable area. Our servers were great. Food was delicious, but because we were "crowded" into a space that was not large enough it took away from the atmosphere."
