Wendell’s Steak and Seafood Restaurant is the Inn of the Mountain Gods Resort and Casino's signature dining establishment located on the 4th floor. Wendell's features succulent dishes of fresh seafood, aged steaks, scrumptious desserts and offer an impressive wine list. The restaurant and lounge feature spectacular views of Sierra Blanca, the Sacramento Mountains, Lake Mescalero and our 18-hole Championship Golf Course.

"This was our second time to dine at Wendell's and I do believe this time was better than the first. The food is amazing! The shrimp cocktail was superb! My filet was cooked perfect and was so tender I could use just my fork. I had potatoes au gratin and I only with I could prepare them that good. We had the same waiter and he went above and beyond to ensure we enjoyed our meal.
Wendell's for dinner is highly recommended.
The next day we went back and my husband had their breakfast plate and I had the soup. Both amazing."

"Our Night Didn't Start Out So Great. When We Got There No One Greeted Us. We Had To Initiate Everything And Explain Why We Were There. The Hostess Was worthless. When We Made Our Reservation We Made It Clear That We Were Celebrating Our Tenth Anniversary, And She Said And Did Nothing About It.
The Food Was Pretty Good, Not Awesome. The Waiters Are Awesome Here, They Take Very Good Care Of You."

"We did not get to eat because our reservation was not honored.We booked our reservation for 4:00P.M. and they do not open until 5:00P.M.. They were not very helpful and really didn't seem to care.Perhaps you should review hours of operation and adjust your software so something like this doesn't happen again.Jeff Black(915)861-4971"

"The restaurant overlooks the mountains, what a wonderful view as you eat the best food ever. Our waiter was courteous, professional and friendly. He was knowledgable about the food served and offered great advice regarding dessert. The food was very good, steak cooked exactly as I ordered it and the presentation was beautiful. I would not hesitate to return there on another special occasion. We also had breakfast there twice and again, great service and good food cooked well and presented well."

"We arrived at 7:30 and were able to leave about 9:45. The sevice was very slow and unattentive. We ordered some appetizers. One person ordered two, onion soup and osyters rockefeller. The wait person did not ask if both were wanted at the same time so both were delivered together. The soup was not very hot and the decision which to eat first assured that the other would be cold. When the waitperson was asked why they were delivered at the same time the reply was that was the only way the kitchen would prepare them. The entrees were good but also delivered as they were cooling off. The steak was cooked correctly and the elk was very good and tender but the overall experience was not that pleasant. This was a birthday celebration at my option"

"Food quality was very poor. My wife ordered escargot and a salad. The lettuce in the salad was yellow and inedible. The escargot was mediocre at best and came with bread that was soo hard it would break your teeth.
I had prime rib that was no taste sensation and au gratin potatoes that weren't great.

"I was a little apprehensive about acquiring an online reservation for their busiest night of the year but it worked perfectly. We had a grand Valentine's Day dinner with excellent, friendly, professional service and outstanding food. Recommed to all for a quiet, romantic dinner date. Comfortable seating, tables not too close together, great view of mountain peaks and our waitor (Gabriel) made us feel very special. Hope to make this a Valentine's Day tradition."
