Old World meets True Village in this charming, reasonably-priced restaurant featuring the best foods of Germany, Austria, Czech Republic and Hungary.
Favorites include the Beef Gulash, Saffron Chicken Paprikash, Pork Schnitzel with Lingonberries and grilled specialties, including the standout hangar steak and the Sausage Platter. The well-rounded wine list includes wonderful Austrian and German wines, as well as some excellent French, Italian and Californian vintages. The tap beer selection includes Czech, German and Austrian beers, as well as a few local brews done in the Old World style.
Masterfully designed to evoke the Old World while still feeling totally Village, the space lives up to its name. Doma means "At Home on the Corner," and the German light fixtures, reclaimed wood wainscoting, plaster walls, old Slovak prints and photographs are just what you imagine Great-Grandma grew up seeing in the Old Country. Or sit outside for a view of Village Life.
"We came to Doma na Rohu specifially to hear the Frank Pulasky trio. We enjoyed amazing food (latkes with salmon a must try) & great music. Desserts are amazing! Wonderful evening all the way around."

"I arranged for dinner reservation for my family visiting from out of town. I was excited about trying Doma na rohu and made a reservation for our party of 7. Everyone was coming from different parts of the city so it was quite inconvenient and embarassing when Doma na rohu did not honor the reservation. We had arrived promptly at the designated time but were greeted with surprize that we had made a reservation. They made little effort to accommodate us and my mother, at 80, had little patience for standing at the bar. Everything turned out fine when we decided to move to Snack Taverna across the street, who made exceptional efforts to accommodate us understanding that we had been stiffed. We had a great meal at Snack Taverna."

"This year-old, eclectic European restaurant with a Chech chef and an Asian waitress is charming in an awkward way. The homemade pork terrine appetizer, served with a spicy, sweet, grainy mustard and greens was authentic and delicious; as were the potato pancakes piled high with capers, crime fraiche and smoked salmon. My duck breast was crisp on the outside and beautifully rare on the inside, served with red cabbage and bread dumplings. My wife had bratwurst with an extraordinarily rich cheese spetzel. For dessert, we had espresso poured over vanilla ice cream and shared flakey apple strudel flavored with a bit of marzipan that kept it from being too sweet. The service was prompt and attentive. I have already reccommended it to friends."

"When it stated a German Restaurant, I envisioned large portions of ethnic style food with beer. While the food was ok, it definitely was not what I expected. Not bad, mind you but I was disappointed."
