Shokudo meaning 'cafeteria' in Japanese, we have created a casual eatery featuring Asian favorites and street food. Spanning from Korea all the way down south to Vietnam, come find your comfort in our food.
"A fusion delight for your taste buds. Knowledgable friendly staff. In the Miami Design District so close to other haunts. Best thing to do is order many items a few at a time for all to enjoy. Explore....get loose on their really good Saki & Passion fruit YUM."

"I loved World Resource so I'd been wanting to go here for a while. First off, it's in a really bad area. It was my night to pick the restaurant and when we got there my boyfriend told me he used to do yoga right next door and apparently cars used to get broken into all the time. On top of that, the food is only ok. If it was close to my building I might go there to eat occasionally, but I don't see myself ever driving back over there for just "meh" food."

"Had a great time. Food was delicious! Waitress knew the menu very well and explain in detail all dishes. Loved the ambience and design of the restaurant. Will go back soon. This restaurant is in my list of new favorite places to go for quality food in a Very nice environment. Even met the owner :)"

"We have been here several times since it opened about six months ago;the food and service has been consistently very good to excellent. I love the menu for it's variety of innovative Asian cuisine which includes, Japanese ( sushi, noodles. etc), Vietnamese ( Duck a'la orange), Korean (Bibimbap),Hawaiian( Poke). The desserts are also quite good and worth trying. The patio, the interior and sake bar each have their own ambience with subtle lighting and comfortable seating. Highly recommend!"

"Really good pan asian foods -- all very fresh and homemade. Amazing curry potato dumplings. Very fresh salads & ahi tuna. Great place. We're DEFINITELY going back!"

"Wonderful night as usual at Shokudo. Great food. Service was a bit off at beginning due to confusion as to who maybe would be covering our table. Once resolved the delay was forgotten thanks to good follow up service."

"Outstanding. Simply outstanding. They have the only Sapporo ramen broth I've found in the eastern US. Superbly prepared other items on the menu - we had two apps that were as beautiful to look at as they were to devour! Great staff - attentive but unobtrusive. Great ambiance and decor - not overstated but elegant and clean."

"The food was OK (nothing to write home about, not a real "fusion" cuisine). Appetizers seemed to be better than the entrée’s. The deserts were a pure catastrophe! Ambience outside was very nice. The waiter was nice & polite but far from knowing what she was doing (describing as 'unprofessional' would be too complementing)"

"I eat at a plethora of restaurants and love Asian fare. During my recent visit to Miami, my girlfriends and I put Shokudo on our must try list. Boy were we mistaken! First the food is average at best - a little greasy and lacking in flavor, but the biggest problem was the service and management. Half of us ordered sushi and the rest opted for hot entrees. After a longer than necessary wait, only 1/3 of the entrees came out (all lukewarm when served). TEN minutes later some more lukewarm entrees were served with still NO sushi (you know, raw fish....). When we complained the manager told us that she was sorry (very unconvincing) but that we shouldn't complain b/c our t"

"Great first visit. Only issue was first courses came out of the kitchen too quick and should have been timed better. Good flavors. Quiet patio seating. Something for everyone on the menu."

"This is the second time we go to Shokudo and it cemented it as a place I want to continue returning to. We had different dishes this time a round (except the foi gras dumplings, which may be the most delicious thing I've ever had) and everything was spectacular. We had an appetizer, two entrees, dessert, and bottle of really good sake and only spent about $65. Great value, beautiful place, and delicious food."
