"We went there for Mother's day Lunch and there was one other diner in the entire restaurant. The food was good - the Shrimp was the best. Chicken Bastilla was good. Chicken Tagine was OK. Maybe the ambience would be better in the evening !"

"average overall, food and service have a lot to improve on. belly dance is a nice add, that makes the visit worthwhile, wish they would improve the service level and the quality of food .... could make them a lot more appealing"

"Wish we had sat in the upstairs part, as it wasn't very lively downstairs. The belly dancer did dance downstairs too, but the upstairs crowd was cheering, so it seems the upstairs is the place to be for the belly dancer. Downstairs was more relaxed. Love the food and the mint tea is amazing. The drinks were not the best, all else is fantastic - lamb prunes, veggie couscous...yum"

"We got inspired to try Moroccan food, and went to OpenTable to find our options. The food seemed very authentic. The chicken tagine was the best dish we had -- moist, and flavorful. The cous cous was rather dry but tasty. The lamb kabobs were great, but remember to order extra taziki for dipping. Dessert was nothing to write home about. But the Moroccan mint tea was a delightful and refreshing way to end the meal.
We left before the belly dancer started, but will plan better next time."

"We had already tried Marrakech, but this was the first time we ate at La Kazbah, the new management of the same restaurant. My friends had the lamb with prunes (it looked great) and I had the chicken tagine with lemon and olives (a very traditional Moroccan dish), which was delicious! It seemed to us that the food is now much better and genuine. We went on a Tuesday evening, so it wasn't very noisy. We really enjoyed it and will certainly return!"

"Overall, a disappointing experience. First the positives: La Kazbah is beautifully decorated in traditional Moroccan style with comfortable couches and tables spaced far enough apart to feel intimate. Unfortunately, aside from the beautiful interior, everything else was so-so or bad. Our biggest gripes: 1) most of the food was mediocre to bad (even the house specialties)--really a poor showing all around, with the exception of the merguez and bastilla; 2) Ambiance was ruined because they played the belly-dancer music WAY TOO LOUD--making it impossible to converse with our table-mates; 3) the lighting was so low that it was almost impossible to see what we were eating; 4) service was so-so. Save your money--go somewhere else."

"The veg dishes were very tasty but the mains were just ok. The manager stop by and he apologized for the meat a d offered dis punt on the next visit but charged us for the mains anyway. I expected him to not charge us especially consider he knew the meat was poor quality."

"Servers were very attentive at the beginning of our meal. By the end we were having to wave them down for the bill. Our server also forgot our last entree (we did a price-fixe) and it arrived cold to the table. Most of the dishes were good, particularly the vegetarian mix platter, but they lacked coherence and needed the sauce to pull it together more."

"We were at the restaurant on Valentine's Day, though we did not order the special. The service was good -- everyone was pleasant -- and the food was OK. One companion ordered the mixed grill and found it dry, and my chicken tagine with olives was tasty but very greasy, which detracted. My main problem was the music. It was so loud that we asked that it be turned down, which it was just a fraction...until the belly dancer arrived (she was very good btw). The music went up to an unbearable level -- many people were covering their ears because it was painful. It pretty much ruined the meal, and as much as I like the decor and Middle Eastern food, I don't really want to go back because of that."

"We tried La Kazbah for Valentine's day. The Valentine's day menu food was excellent. Our server was very nice and accomodating but the staff were very unorganized. We did not receive the first 3 courses in order and it seemed that other tables didn't either. I had to ask for 1 of the course items and later received seconds of another course. I would visit again but hope that they get some food ordering system worked out. Note: Be prepared to be there for a few hours."
