Dake Japanese Fusion Restaurant is opened on June 11th, 2012. The company's mission is to bring a high quality food and add variety to Kitchener-Waterloo market. Most of Japanese restaurants in Kitchener-Waterloo region are either all-you-can-eat buffet or a traditional Japanese restaurant. We introduced innovative sushi using the freshest ingredients while incorporating the Asian fusion cuisine. Moreover, Dake brings something dramatically different, including our only one in Kitchener-Waterloo Teppanyaki. At our Teppanyaki, you can experience quality food and great show in one place. "Friendly, quick service. Excellent food! Dined for lunch with a friend, I had chicken teriyaki Bento box, friend had sashimi bento box. Lots of food, and very well done. Definitely will go back again."

"Absolutely love this restaurant. Choose between Tepanaki entertaining dinner, or sit at the tables and enjoy sushi or other great items off their menu. Presentation is a 10. Best sushi restaurant in Kitchener. Prices good for quality of food. Will return again and again."

"I have read other reviews about Dake and was curious to try it out myself. It is true, our bill was pricier than your average AYCE sushi places, but that would be like comparing a big mac to a homemade prime beef burger. The quality of maki and tempura at Daki was outstanding and the seared tuna salad was the perfect balance of dressing to salad and with the right amount of tuna. Service (thanks to Mike) was attentive and professional.

"For the price paid, quality wasn't there. The food was not bad there are just other places in town that sell it for about half the price and are way better. Chicken teriyaki was the dish I got the chicken was good the rice was good too but the veggies were 90% cabbage my jaw hurt after chewing for so long. The service was great, was treated well, food came reasonably fast. Sushi was below par for the price Paid."

"I was very excited to try the restaurant out because of the great reviews I have been reading but honestly, I was overall disppointed with the long wait we went through:
- Even with the reservation and being there on time, we waited about 10 minutes because nobody was at the counter to greet the guests.
- It took 10-15 minutes before someone came to take our orders.
- 30 minutes of waiting and not even sake nor hot green tea was served for us to enjoy while waiting for the food.

"Excellent food and ambiance. The staff was very polite and alert. Though I did not have the teppanyaki, the groups there seemed to be enjoying themselves and the teppanyaki chefs put on quite a show. My only issue was that the oily/fried smells from the teppanyaki area wafted over to the dining area."

"Loved the Dake and would go back again. Would definitely like to explore more of the menu and try a bunch of dishes. Comfortable seating, cocktails decent. Very nice server but did feel a bit rushed. Did have 4 out of 6 apps arrive quickly, but waited for the other 2 for quite a long time. By then some of our main dishes were arriving.

"The food was fresh and quite tasty ! Service was friendly and very efficient, almost too efficient as plates and drinks were cleared almost before you were done. Very pleasant décor as well. Pricing was not bargain like but represented good value for the quality of food. We shall return !!!"
