Pizzeria Gusto is an extension of my dinner table, where friends, family and loved ones gather together to share conversation, laughter, food and wine. The aroma"s, sight's and sounds are a constant reminder of centuries old Italian traditions, which instantly welcome you to the family.
We believe that pizza is the perfect food. A blank canvas that has unlimited possibilities in both taste and texture. By using fresh local produce and authentic Italian ingredients your experience will surely have you saying "Bellisimo"!
Our wood burning oven comes from Reggelo, 20 km from Florence. The Valoriani oven is hand crafted by a family of artisans that has been perfecting their skills for 5 generations. Its domed brick roof and 650 degree temperature is the perfect vessel for creating the perfect pizza.

"Pizza was very nice. Friends we went with were so amazing and patient.
We had a reservation at 8 for 6 people to celebrate our wedding anniversary. My wife and I arrived at 7 to have a drink at the bar first. They were fully booked even at the bar until our 8 o'clock reservation. Understandable and not a big deal at all. We then arrived back at 7:55 for our reservation. With the rest of our company, we waited until 8:40 at the front door (with no one else waiting because they were seated right away?) at which point we were sat at a table of four. We really did not understand it. I wish we would have known, I would have made a different decision on my anniversary dinner. We still hand fun, great friends, great food, unexpected wait."

"The pizza, as always, was stellar. Lots of interesting choices, amazing crust, cooked perfectly, and came out quick. This was the first time I ordered an appetizer though, and was not impressed. I had the calamari - it was strange (poached, not fried crisp, plunked on a salad with no sauce). It was also badly over-cooked, the bread crumbs were soggy, and the salad underneath was so soggy and so overdressed it was inedible. I thought it might just have been what I chose, but everyone else said that their appetizers were not nearly to the same level as the pizza. I will still go back, but I'll skip the appetizer next time."

"I have been to Pizzeria Gusto before, but was quite disappointed this time. The service was poor (not even a water refill, though we had ordered wine as well). The restaurant itself was incredibly noisy, though my guest and I were seated at the bar (i.e., awkwardly close together), could hardly hear each other speak. Further, when we went to go pay, I wanted to pay with debit and was informed that the debit was not working and that "the hostess should have told me". I put it on my credit card, which had I not had, would have had not method of payment."

"The food was outstanding from grilled ceasar salad to exotic pizza and an incredible chocolate tart with olive oil and sea salt. Great wine selection by the glass. Definitley not you average lunch fare. This a place to experience food that one takes for granted and they throw in a twist with everything just to wake up your senses. The service was excellent."

"The food was fantastic, the service was good. but we did feel a bit rushed, they kept asking my wife if she wanted her pizza boxed, she was still eating ! We were not offered coffee or desert, just the bill. But again the food was fantastic."

"Amazing food and you probably won't find a better pizza in the city. The only thing that distracts from a potentially amazing dining experience would be the noise. Siting directly next to someone and it still becomes very difficult to hear a word that is being said during peak dining times. Guests are then left fighting the noise and speak louder, adding to the problem.
Due to the noise you are left flirting on the edge of pure culinary enjoyment exemplified by the amazing menu, and sheer mental exhaustion as you fight noise from all angles.
Definitely a dining experienced not to be missed... Just try and go early or late, to really enjoy all that is on offer."

"Three of us went in for a mid-week lunch date. We found it very difficult to make a single selection from the pizza menu. The variety of toppings and combinations were so interesting that we wanted to try many of them. We decided to order one pizza each and we shared the three of them between us. The combinations of sweet, savory, hot and cold ingredients made for such delicious pizzas. We must return to try three more the next time.

"I love your restaurant.....The Sophia pizza is AMAZING, and out of this world....the flavor on the pizza are so put together so wonderfully, I find myself dreaming about this pizza and the need to tell everyone about it. My sister had the mushroom risotto, and again she could not stop talking about how amazing it was. There was 4 us at the table and our food was delicious, service was great, a really great ending to our evening! Thank you for your hard work and for an excellent restaurant experience!! BRAVO"

"Amazing food, server was a little forgetful but the ambiance is great. One big downside is its very obvious that they are trying to do a high thru put of customers. The hostess is not very sly about making rounds and eyeing up everyones food to see how much they have left, it makes you feel a little rushed to have someone skulking around and staring at your plate and not making eye contact with any of the diners."

"Great food and service overall! Excellent options for vegetarians. We had to wait over 25 minutes after our reservation time as they had seated someone in our seat. The party knew there was a reservation behind them but did not leave on time. When we asked them to be a little more aggressive to get our spot free, they did what they could however still took too long in my opinion. I had to ask three times and tell them I was paying for babysitting before they were more adamant on the party wrapping up. They did provide us with a free drink but we had to drink it waiting in the small foyer around others waiting. It was great overall but they need to manage their reservation times better for those who plan ahead!"

"The Meatball, brussels sprouts and calamari appetizers were very, very good, and 5 out of our 6 pizza's were perfect, there was just one pizza that we all disliked because we felt the bitterness of the radicchio overwhelmed the pizza. The waitress was very apologetic and took the pizza off our bill which was much appreciated. It was my fiance's 30th birthday and the waitress brought out a candle on his dessert, it was very sweet! Overall it was a very good experience! :)"

"I really love the food - best pizzas ever - great wine selection - however, the mood of the room needs to change - more dim lighting- because the room has very high ceilings - maybe modern chandeliers hanging down to break up the space... Just a thought.

"Our first dining experience was somewhat disappointing. My husband had made a reservation for this past Saturday and when we arrived, we were ushered to two spots on the counter overlooking the individuals who were creating pizzas. While the hostess apologized for not having a table for us, she also said she had forgotten to call us to advise us of same. The server was attentive initially but then disappeared. My husband enjoyed his pizza but I honestly made a bad choice, having ordered the Trattore. I found the pizza to be lacking in toppings and flavor. I did have a few bites of my husband's order and agreed it was fantastic. When I voiced my dismay at my meal, she basically said "that's too bad. Did yu want to take it home?"."

"My sister wanted this to be her Birthday lunch spot, and we'd never been before. I'd looked at the menu before visiting, and I thought it was not going to be my type of food. I was so surprised! It was the best food I've had anywhere...ever!! The server was knowledgeable, polite and attentive. I'd recommend Pizzeria Gusto, and when you go, don't be afraid to try something new...you'll be as pleasantly surprised as I was!"

"My boyfriend and I went here for a late dinner on Valentine's day. We are very happy that they now take reservations. We booked for 9:15 which was their earliest space, but they phoned at 8:30 saying we could come early which was great. We started with prosecco and then both had a glass of valpolicella with our meals. Both were excellent. They were very accomodating for both of our deitary restrictions. (neither of us can eat dairy, and I am vegan) We sat at the bar which I was at first kind of unhappy about, but it was actually even more intimate as we sat over in the far corner and it felt more private over there. Was fun to watch the chefs making pizzas while we talked and ate. Was overall a pretty perfect night!"
