"The food was good but the service was not great. We had to ask for napkins and salt and pepper. I would not recommend The Ranchers Club based on my experience. Stillwater is getting several other nice restaunts that would out perform on most levels."

"Being graduation weekend, the Ranchers Club was full of large groups. We still received timely, polite service. The food was good but a bit over priced for just typical steak house fare. I would definitely go back."

"I was not impressed by the food. It wasn't bad but it tatsted like something I could get for a lot cheaper somewhere else. I ordered my steak to be well done and it was probably medium rare when I cut into it. So it got taken back to be cooked and by the time I got it my company was already finished eating. The waitress was very nice, no complaints on her. However, with how much I paid and all the other factors, I will not be coming back."

"The service is outstanding, some dishes are excellent, others only fair. Our party of 10 (4 parents, 2 college students and 4 high school boys) were overwhelmed with the price. Salads were very good, especially the spinach and beet, the steaks were perfect, the halibut was only fair, the bed of veggies was too sparse and onions not done enough, fish was too bland & overdone The sesame crusted tuna was very good as was the special pasta and tuna. We had wine with dinner and the selections were good, but high. Wish they had a few more choices in wines as well as some more mid range priced wines. Entrees were overpriced, but all in all, a good dinner. Don't take children or teenagers, just too expensive. With alcohol we averaged $100/diner!"

"The food tasted good but my sandwich was too thick to pick up and eat. I had to dismantle it and eat it with a fork. Our waiter was friendly and attended to our needs."

"Elegant, with great service. They stayed ahead of our need for water glass refills, which is where many restaurants fall down. Main courses were excellent. Cheesecake dessert was also great. They did not have a chocolate dessert. Dinner for 3, including two salads, one bottle of wine, one coffee and one dessert, ran $170."

"I couldn't tell what they had done for the renovations, but I had not been there frequently. The service was much friendlier than I remember. As busy as the dining room was, the wait for food was very reasonable. Still great food as well."

"Menu is just trying so hard. Steaks were good. Halibut was very under cooked and when sent back did not come out until all other guests at the table were done eating. At dinner they had no chicken choice on the menu and even the ceaser salad had pork on it. Dessert bread pudding and creme brûlée were very good but cheesecake was nothing special and there was no chocolate choice. The appetizer crab fondue was outstanding. I should have had that as my main dish.
A few years ago they had amazing chicken fried steak and awesome warm chocolate chip cookie dessert that we still talk about 4 years later but I guess those are not fancy enough now.
Fine for using up students meal plan but much better choices in Stillwater"

"Ben Coffin is back as chef at the Rancher's Club. The food is thoughtful and interesting. Local meat and produce are on the menu, and the quality of the food benefits from it. Crab/spinach dip hit the spot after an exciting basketabll game, spinach/beet salad was delicious, tenderloin steak was perfect, and the yummy bread pudding the wait person thankfully talked me into had no relation to stale bread. Lots of attention to detail from the staff who work to keep the restaurant top quality and very special."

"The food was outstanding. The quality, presentation, and taste was right up there with what one would expect of a high quality restaurant in a major metropolitan area. The wine list is not as strong as the food and is unbalanced in price. However, overall it was an excellent outing and a confirmation that Ranchers is a quality restaurant for a special meal."

"The Ranchers Club was definitely an awesome dinner experience. I had the Filet Minon and it was very good along with the fingerling potatoes. The ceasar salad was one of the best salads I have had in a long time. The service was great all around. I never had an empty drink glass and everyone makes you feel very welcome. The atmosphere is very relaxing and warm. It's a great place to come and relax and eat an amazing meal!"

"Valentine's dinner for 2 was very disappointing. Wine by the glass choices were very limited. Appetizer was the best part & delicious. Salad was too large and was just plain bagged salad greens dumped on a huge plate with a tiny amount of dressing on the side. Rolls were brought with the salad and then the server tried to take them away after the salad rather than leaving them for the mail course. She was surprised when we asked her to leave them. Main dishes were very disappointing. We had the beef in a crust which was a flat piece of crust with some beef pieces and gravy on top with nothing else and fish entree was very bland. Creme Brulee dessert for 2 was in one deep glass rather than in two which was awkward to eat."

"We went to Ranchers Club several years ago when the fireplace was still in the middle of the dining room. Then, the food, waiters, ambiance and cost was all awesome. We decided to return after several years with high expectations and the same couple we went with before. The ambiance was great and table settings were awesome. However, my friend got a salad and found a piece of plastic mixed in, they didn't apologize or acknowledge it.The food was ok, about what you would find at a chain steak house. The cost for all 4 of us to eat there was $290 not including tip. We did all have steaks and there were 3 mixed drinks and 1 glass of wine added to the tab. However, I don't feel it was worth the money."

"The "Ranchers Club" is a wonderful place. A place for an evening of fine dining or for a special (romantic) occasion. The restaurant has a wonderful feel about it with the western art and rustic feel. Service was better than "outstanding". We found the food that evening to be not outstanding but "very good". My wife's steak was slightly overdone and my lobster was cold when served. Overall the experience was a wonderful one and we will return..."

"I was sippin' on ice for like 30 minutes, and there was no water re fill in sight. This "manager" had the nerve to call my friends and I out about not tipping for this mediocre at best service. Plus the food was well overpriced for the quality."
