Grist Mill Restaurant Wine & Bar’s rustic interior has a brick fireplace and expansive view of the Sonoma creek. Grist Mill & Bar Grill dining rooms shows off blonde maple floors, honey gold walls, cinnamon maple tables, and chairs finished in rich wheat and burgundy fabric. The room is warm, elegant, & comfortable. the highlight is the breathtaking natural beauty of this Sonoma Valley Show on map historic landmark. The large picture windows overlook Sonoma Creek. During warm weather you can enjoy outdoor dining on two trellis covered decks. Even the fanciest dining room cannot compete with the bucolic beauty of this wooded oasis.
"Food was really bad. I used to love the old restaurant. They have agreat location, it is too bad they cannot make good food. We were 7 and not one dish was good, not even hamburgers (which is pretty hard to miss). Very disapointed WILL never go back."

"Disappointed that they don't control noisy children, it has lost some of its charm it used to have but still a nice place to see and eat at. Easy free parking."

"Found this place last minute while visiting Napa / Sonoma. Great building, set in an old mill with a still rotating water wheel. Food was pretty good, plenty tasty. Wine list was decent. Service let the whole experience down a bit. You expect wine to be severed properly when in wine region. It felt more like being in a bar when we were served. Top hacked off, corked jacked out and pocketed, full glasses poured without tasting, no order etiquette. Don't let this put you off, it may have been just our waiter."

"It was restaurant week so it was very busy. Food was not hot when it was served. However the wait staff were great - very personable and engaging which made dinner fun. A combo played most of the time thus increasing the noise level."

"I rarely write reviews, but I thought I'd share our experience at the Grist Mill. The menu I thought was great; comfort food I like so much. But everything I had except the Caesar salad was not good. I had the fried chicken, which was soggy, served with mashed potatoes that were not flavorful, and veggies that were overlooked. My wife had the burger, which she said was just okay, with fries that were not crispy. It was Saturday night at 8:00, and there were only 6 people in the restaurant. I guess that speaks to the general public's opinion of the place."

"Great Gumbo, fried buttermilk chicken, fresh sauteed vegetables and roasted beet salad. We will return to check out other menu items. We really appreciate the NO CORKAGE charge here in the Wine Country. The hospitality here is most enjoyable. The staff is eager to keep you happy which certainly helps make a fine dining experience complete!"
