"Seemed like a good concept. Took our adult children before a show at the Alliance. No one was especially taken with the food. It was luke warm and some really strange combinations."

"The food at Takorea was delicious. I ordered the fish burrito, KFC (Korean fried chicken) taco, uber bop (bimbibap), & the sesame fries. this was a great deal as myself & two other friends split the check for all the food & paid about $11 each. I highly recommend the fish burrito as it was packed with rice and fish. They definitely did not leave off anything. Everything else was great & the uber bop was worth it as well. All 10 sides and they packed on the bulgogi. My least favoroite as the kfc chicken as i feel i could have made it myself but it definitely was not terrible. Could have added a little bit more kimchi. the dishes were spicy but that's not a lot coming from us since we're not good with spicy. Great place 7 will come back."

"Great pork sliders and fish taco food but both a little heavy. Bowl was bland. Loved the mango jalapeño martini. Nice server. Windows open and very cold which wasn't relaxing. I'd totally go back though."

"I had a nice time with my group. The food was good and the mood was lively. The waiter wasn't particularly friendly but he did do his job as far as making sure we had our drinks refilled and food promptly. My only concern was the awkward way we were pressed to leave. There was a DJ setting up and our table was in the way; so while the large party wanted to stay a bit longer to chat we felt the daggering stares as a call to vacate."

"I reserved space online for 14 people at 5:45pm on a Thursday. When I arrived early the table was already prepared and those of us there could be seated immediately. Our server was awesome! Should have gotten her name to praise on here. The bibimbop sauce was thicker and more spicy than I am used to. Next time I'll get it on the side so I can pour as needed. Sesame fries were very good and the chipotle ketchup was awesome! My co-workers enjoyed themselves, as well. We will definitely go back there!"

"Tomas Lee is an executive chef who has cooked for Buckhead Life for a decade I think..
When he opened Hankook Taqueria off Collier Road (you really MUST try it!) here was a place to get Korean meats and spices in tacos!
Now "Takorea" is the 2nd location and it is much "fancier" but parking is a Total Mess so I'm not a fan of the location till the weather is nice and you can Walk there....
Try it this spring and summer, get the Beef, Pork and Calamari (although the one I had this trip was a little chewy) they are normally spot on!"

"the food was yummy. Sara, our excellent waitperson guided us through their unique menu to some very tasty offerings. The shrimp Bap was excellent with great topics that brought the spice and kick needed on a cool day. we will return."

"The staff at Takorea was so nice and accommodating to my large party. They helped us add tables and chairs when the party size grew and provided excellent service to our group. The atmosphere was lively and other patrons in the restaurant seemed to enjoy themselves. I will definitely return!"

"I like the idea of "fusion food". In this case the combination of Korean and Mexican just fell sort of flat. The service was great, the drinks were great and the overall look and feel was great!
However, most of the ban chan (Korean side dishes) were sub par. That said, they have these sesame fries that were absolutely addictive! Even the dumplings were nice. However, when we got to the main dishes they fell flat.
We had the Korean pulled pork sliders, the Moo Shu Brisket Enchiladas, and several Korean taco's. The pulled pork was just ok. After all, in the south you can get great pulled pork. The enchiladas were inedible. The brisket was so tough and dry you couldn't choke it down. The taco's were pretty good though."

"went on a tuesday when they have $2 tacos and $2 tecates which is a deal you cant beat! we also got the sesame fries and the nachos which were both delish. and between the 6 of us at dinner we probably had every taco on the menu and everyone ate every bite!"

"Great midtown spot with very enjoyable food (and a healthy selection for vegetarians). On this particular Saturday evening, though, the bar and kitchen got backed up and our service, though polite, was spotty; I'd still easily go back for the food, ambiance and a shot at service redemption.
