"Accent lived up to its reputation for creative Asian fusion, Laura, the server was perfect for a very "hip' appearing restaurant. It has a range of offerings from typical to bold so it does accomodate many tastes. The wine list was very good and afforable"

"Food very good. A little too much oil on kebab appetizers and salmon entre but the flavors were quite good. We weren't happy with the valet trying to charge multiple rates to park the car and complained. We had great and accommodating service. We would go back."

"Both my husband and I were somewhat disappointed in our meal. Reviews have been very good, so maybe our expectations were too high. We also frequently go to Sasa and consider it one of our standbys with consistently high standards. So, why the disappointment with our meal at Accent? We shared the tuna tartar and flat bread with bulgogi and goat cheese. The tuna was excellent and the flat bread was very good. We both ordered the special for our main course - pork chop cooked sous vide - which our waitress told us had been the special the previous week-end and diners had raved about it. We both found the pork to be tender but disappointingly tasteless. The sushi-style rice and mustard green accompaniments were both very good."

"Perhaps we expected more because of the rave reviews, or maybe we just ordered the wrong things. Salad was good but nothing special, Salmon was very good but no better than anywhere else. Squid was a bit chewey with an ordinary sauce. Service was excellent and the wine prices were reasonable.
Meat dishes being served to other tables looked very good so wur recommendation to others would come with caveats."

"Since Accent is from the same people who own Sasa in Shaker Square, I was looking forward to a great evening and I was not disappointed. Accent is a striking restaurant, beautifully rendered in stainless, black and red, well, accents. The food leans towards the oriental--Korean BBQ, and a terrific and unusual selection of yakitori that goes way beyond chicken (Do NOT miss the pork belly, brisket or mushroom varieties) but there is also a large selection of steaks, including hanger steak with chimichurri. So yes, the menu is eclectic, but everything we had was excellent, wiuth the exception of some sort of rice ball app that was only so-so. Prices are very fair, it's great for grazing, excellent beer list. Terrific service. Go!"

"One of the best meals we have had in Cleveland for a long time. We definitely will be back. The only problem was finding it. It is correctly identified in the Open Tabke map, but if you use Google Map or another GOS locator to find it you end up in the wrong neighborhood. This should be mentioned on your site or on the restaurant website."

"I've eaten at Accent four times in the last two weeks and each visit has been a food adventure. Even with so many visits there are still things on the menu I want to try. The service is exceptional. The decor is dynamite. Everything I've had has been delicious. I highly recommend."

"I've been to Accent twice for lunch, both times ordering the Donburi Rice Bowl with Beef and Vegetables. The atmosphere is sophisticated yet not too stiff. I love the black and red color scheme. Chairs are very comfortable. It is truly an up-and-coming destination spot in University Circle!"

"The preparation and menu selection are both unique. They provide a new alternative for Cleveland. The staff was wonderful at explaining food and technique. The were also responsive when we realized that we were running late. We will go back when we can linger. Only reason for 4 ratings rather than 5 is the need for more vegetarian alternatives."

"Needs more traffic in the up town area to make this the gem it could be. Once the Uptown project is completed, it should prove to be a really great magnet. The uniqueness of the cooking style and cuisine will make it a great gathering place."

"They had only two $ that indicated the price range which was wrong. Wasnt happy about that. My boyfriend and I also asked to be moved to more private seating but then they put a loud group next to us 15 minutes later. They also had a happy hour drink special but said we couldnt have it cause we reserve through open table. They had no specials or anything for couples."

"Our party of three seniors was at the restaurant at 5:30 pm, so it was too early to determine whether or not Accent is a "hot spot" for the younger crowd, but we saw excellent potential for that. The atmosphere was modern and tasteful, the location was right, the food and service were excellent, and the menu had a nice range of choices for meat-eaters and vegetarians alike.
Accent's University Circle/Uptown location was a positive feature of our visit. We will definitely return for another dinner engagement, and we heartily recommend Accent to others."

"Second visit to Accent, will NOT return. My suggestion to the owner is to put all his effort in the Shaker Square location and cut further losses and shut this place down. In my opinion, the entire Uptown location will never ever be the next East 4th street or Warehouse district. Too bad, I had great hopes for this location of Cleveland. Too many fast food spots for college students. Little Italy restaurants have nothing to worry about. Soup was very salty, Pepper Steak was cold, crab cake were not completely cooked, need I say more."

"I should start by saying google maps took me on a very dangerous route in a very bad area, but I did turn myself around and got there eventually, however, I was pretty upset by the time I got there. I paid five dollars for valet parking, but then noticed people parking right there, but i did not know that' was an option. There was exactly one valet working on a Friday night which really was not sufficient in my opinion. We were at happy hour and ordered edamame hummus which came with three route vegetable chips and it was pretty good. We also got pork belly which was fat on a stck which we couldn't even eat. I ordered miso soup with noodles which I could not eat either, it was like drinking salt. All in all it was aggravating."

"We wanted to like it, but the food arrived lukewarm and was nothing special. The pickled foods were entirely too salty and the ravioli was bland. The waitress was attentive and friendly but they need to work on the ambiance. It is well designed, but outside the window is all cement and neon lights along with unfinished road and construction equipment. Wasn't very busy and now we know why."

"The food was excellent and very reasonably priced for what it is. All of the robata grill dishes are amazing and the fries are excellent as well. The decor is awesome and has a great vibe, the only thing missing is the bustling crowd. It was pretty quiet for a Saturday night even though we were there on the early side. It's a new place so hopefully the word just hasn't gotten out yet. We will definitely be back. Don't miss the s'mores dessert!!"

"Despite a few negative comments here on Open Table we decided to go there for a Valentine's Day treat. We were positively surprised. The food was awesome, well prepared, cooked to perfection and nicely presented. This is an urban gem with a really exciting selection of Pan-Asian food. Urban also means that a person who wishes to look at humongous portions might be disappointed. We, however, weren't disappointed at all. The portions were just right and still we got pleasantly filled up without feeling stuffed.
The restaurant is located in a cool, emerging neighborhood of Cleveland, right next to the new MOCA. It's a bit hidden behind a new and stunning looking modern development, so keep looking if you can't see it from Euclid Avenue."

"We (party of 8) chose Accent on a whim looking for a cutting edge cool place and boy did we find it.
Accent sits in the newest part of University Circle in a curved fronted building adorned with red neon signs and lights. The dining room is all glass on one side and all kitchen and red lights on the other.
The appetizers off of the Robata Grill were excellent and the main courses were just as exciting and ell done. We will definately be back!"

"Dinner was wonderful. We started with the chicken lollipops, hummus, and grilled shrimp appetizers. For entrees, one guest had the whole snapper, the rest of us had the salmon. Two of us opted to have vegetables instead of the crab cake. They came roasted on skewers...delicious. The guys loved their fragrant sake, and loved slurping it out of a wooden box! Fun! We had chocolate molten cake and bread pudding for desert. Yum! Too bad, there weren't that many people in the restaurant. It's a big place. They need to get the word out and advertise."
