Sirio Maccioni once again welcomes friends and guests at his renowned Le Cirque at its home within the prestigious One Beacon Court (151 East 58th Street). The more casual bistro next door, Le Cirque Café, still provides its hallmark service, exciting atmosphere and excellent cuisine, in a more relaxed and convivial setting. The Adam D. Tihany designed café is sleek and cozy with colorful carpeting and other plush touches. Patrons can enjoy a remarkably well-priced cafe dishes featuring a seasonal prix fixe menu and outstanding wines offered by the glass. Jackets are not required but kindly suggested.
"I reserved a table at the cafe but because the only table availabel for my party was next to the band, I was offered to sit in the main dinning room. That was very nice of them,
However, the portion of my lobster was smaller than the one I had when I went during restaurant week. I had to ask for water to be refilled. I dont think that is top restaurant standard."

"It's a pity that throughout the years this restaurant, which at one time was the best in NY, has becomed one of the worst places to eat. Party of 4 for dinner; entrees were mediocre, not to mention the 3 times my chateaubriand had to be sent back to the kitchen for the proper cook. Bernaise sauce (asked for when order was made) came with desert. Souffle potatoes were recooked from another table or cooked by an amateur chef. It's a real pity this restaurant set in a wonderful location & a maginifecent place has started to die."

"We had a wonderful meal - service was attentive, but we were not rushed at all. Many of the prixe fix menu choices have supplemental charges, but the food is delicious, and beautifully presented. Tuna tartare and eggplant starters were outstanding; skate dinner was light and nicely prepared; duck cassoulet was hearty and tasty."

"Although we live in Amsterdam we are frequently in New York and this is one of our favorite restaurants because the food and the ambience are excellent.

"love this place. consistently good food, and good service. the prix fixe lunch is a great deal, with plenty of appetizing choices. since it was a business lunch, I tend to go simple - the excellent house salad and salmon. and I appreciate the grown-up atmosphere, with very low noise level."

"Their new neighborhood Monday music night programs with fixed price menu proved to be an inspiration. A very romantic evening; interesting, superbly-prepared food; attentive but not intrusive service. Talented musician performed; he had an excellent voice. Musicians are different every week. Memorable evening!"

"Le Cirque has long been at the top of my "must go to" list. So when they launched "Musical Mondays" at their Cafe, I was very much looking forward to the experience.
They give you the full Le Cirque menu by default so if you want the Cafe prie-fix menu ($38 2 course dinner), you need to ask. Overall the food was excellent and I recommend the lobster bisque in particular, which packed a flavourful punch. Portion sizes are decent and I was pleasantly full after. The Avalon Jazz Band were brilliant in setting a classy and relaxing ambiance.
The let down was service: 1) they forgot a dessert we ordered; and 2) the waiter we gave our bill to passed it to another waiter who split the bill wrong. Not what is expected at a top quality plac"

"Le Cirque Cafe is an excellent choice for a casual meal in the Bloomingdale's area. During Restaurant Week, it is an even better value. Whether going for the prefix or the bar menu, you can get a drink and a bite and be on your way in chic surroundings. Another plus, a cousin who joined us is confined to a wheelchair. The entry is accessible and they accommodated him with a minimum of fuss and inconvenience. My only complaint: $20 for a glass of Cabernet seems a bit steep."
