"My wife and I shared an appetizer and a salad. She had the shrimp risotto, and I had the rack of lamb. We shared apple pie. Restaurant is quiet enough for conversation. The food was superb.
While neither of us drank wine that night, the wine list is extensive.
Their bottled beer selection is very good. While I would like to see one or two styles added, they have are a beer to pair with your dinner."

"We had awful service here. We weren't waited on for 10 minutes once seated. Then we were served burnt bread. Then I was given the wrong drink. Clearly we were frustrated by the waiter. Everything was just wrong with the service here. I would not return."

"Very much enjoyed the restaurant, ambience and most of the food. Appetizers could have been presented a bit nicer. Service was a tad slow for a large party like this. Had to ask to get things going. Once it got going, it was very enjoyable and now a great memory."

"It was valentines day, so this was one if the fewPlaces accepting reservations. Wine list was extensive but the food was deplorable.Anemic salads, cheese and cracker plates that looked as if grandma had prepared. Noticed other diners desperately trying to hack into their $50 steaks with no luck. In other words, avoid if you like good tasting food."

"This could be a new favorite restaurant in the South Bay. Food was outstanding - lots of flavors without compromising portion size. The meats were well seasoned and tender, even the pork chop, and it's so rare when you find a good pork chop. Our server was attentive but not overly so. He recommended wines to pair with our dishes and even let us taste a few different selections. Big pours, too. Best of all, there are sound dampening panels so you can actually hear your partner talk. All in all, a great experience, and we will definitely be back."

"I had the petit filet with shrimp, which was very good. The filet was heavily seasoned, and while tasty, was a bit salty for my palate. The shrimp were a good size, with a great scampi sauce, shared by the veggies. The veggies were superb, cooked and seasoned perfectly. Normally I pass on squash, but these were delicious.
The best thing was the creamy tomato bisque with gorgonzola--to die for. The only thing I wish was that there was more interesting variety on the menu. Pretty ordinary steak and seafood recipes, but quality ingredients."

"I had the special "porkchop" and it was excellent. Others had "blacken tilapia" and it was fair. Greek salads were good and deserts were very good. Waiter was excellent. Wine list was good with very good pricing."

"I had a very enjoyable dinner at Second City Bistro with a friend and my 11 year old son. We sat on the patio, which was very enjoyable except for the occasional waft of cigarette smoke that came from people hanging out at the bar next door. We had a couple of special requests and the server was happy to accommodate us. The food was really delicious - steak was prepared exactly as ordered and the fish dish was very tasty. Vegetable portions were a bit too small for my liking. Shared one dessert (chocolate something) that was yummy, but coffee was horrible - very weak and not hot. The service was very good. I have enjoyed eating at Second City for many years and plan to continue to do so."

"Decent food and good service. Wasn't excited about the pre-set Valentines Day menu. Overpriced for average food. Good wine list though. Might come back for lunch since I work close and coupons can be found on restaurant.com."

"Good restaurant in a quiet neighborhood in El Segundo. Parking can be an issue as the restaurant has none and you're on your own to fund street parking or a public lot."

"Service was spotty -- sincere and pleasant but amateurish (common problem in the South Bay). We were seated at one table, the two other members of our party at another (they arrived a few minutes after we did), which we didn't discover for 15 minutes. Had to ask for bread to sop up the sauce served with the mussels. Had to ask to have items removed from the table to make enough room to eat.
The food was quite good. Mussels (appetizer) were excellent, calamari only fair. I had the bone0in pork cook, which was excellent.
Very comfortable place -- attractive, not too bright, not too dark, not noisy."
