"We have been visiting this restaurant for many years. The new owners have improved the ambience and service, however, the steaks were slightly less desirable than they were in the past. However, our friends who are fish eaters all gave their dishes a thumbs up. This is something that we would not have seen with the past owners."

"Not at all a Greek restaurant, so no whole fish grilled to perfection, no homemade hummus, no exotic Greek dishes. Steaks? Highly priced and poor quality. Appetizers? Skimpy: one shrimp on a plate. Embarrassing. Don't be fooled by the prix fixe menu--quality of steak is less than would be on regular menu, despite oz. count being the same. Despite polite and friendly service, this place is well overrated."

"I WOULD HAVE GIVEN THE FOOD AN EXCELLENT IF THE FOOD WAS AS GOOD AS THE LAST TIME WE ATE HERE. AT OUR FIRST DINING EXPERIENCE AT THIS RE-OPENED RESTAURANT WE BOTH HAD ONE OF THE BEST STEAKS WE HAVE EVER EATEN. UNFORTUNATELY, THOUGH THE FOOD WAS STILL GOOD...AT OUR LAST DINING EXPERIENCE THE STEAK WAS NOT SUPERIOR AND WITH A CHECK OF $200. FOR TWO STEAKS A GREEK SALAD AND WINE I AM AFRAID WE WON'T BE RETURNING..THERE ARE PLENTY OF STEAK PLACES AROUND THAT OFFER BETTER VALUE."

"The food is amazing. Steaks cooked to perfection; sagañaki better than I've ever had; Greek salad with tomatoes that are a work of art and feta that is superb. Better than the food is George..... Attentive, responsive, charming and knowledgeable. It's like eating dinner with the family you wish you had :)"

"Food was ok. Ate there less than a week ago and can't recall what I ate. While there is a nice enclosed porch and other areas to eat, we were seated in a quaint old dining room. Seemed nice at first, but soon realized we were too close to the kitchen and with a beam between us and the next table, the wait staff constantly squeezed by us. Waitress was not what you'd expect for a fairly expensive restaurant rather Olive Garden."

"We waited for our (expensive) entrees for more than 45 minutes-- and twice we sent back to the kitchen to be reheated-- and they still came back cold. Ugh. And there was plenty of staff and the place wasn't very crowded. Turns out that other tables nearby had similar experience... Clearly many kinks to be worked out. While it is a very nice setting. the food and service leave plenty to be desired. Don't waste your money!"

"We wanted to try the Old Stove Pub again as we hadn't been there in ages and had good memories of it. The biggest issue was that we were rushed through dinner; we arrived at 7 for our reservation and we were out the door by 8:15; they obviously wanted to free up the table. The food was overall OK; the spanakopita being the highlight. My husband's filet was too charred and done like a typical backyard barbecue; it was not cooked the way a superior cut of meat should be. I and the other diner had lamb which was fine, albeit a tad overcooked. The sides were OK but all of it was barely lukewarm and served on cold plates. My husband would give it another try but I would not be in a rush to return."

"This was our second visit to Old Stove and it was as memorable as the first. George took wonderful care of us, the Kudos to chef who prepares beautiful and delicious food. For anyone going, do not miss the Mousaka (someone from your party must order this dish - it is sublime).
Additionally, follow George's recommendations on the Greek wines - he is knowledgeable and has an experienced palette.
Excellent evening both times and I look forward to my next visit - Old Stove is now on my Frequent list."
