Mezcla
Nuevo latino is a mix of South American, mainly Peruvian, cuisines adapted to French and European cooking techniques. Mezcla specializes in that mix of cultures and influences that will surprise and delight discerning palates. All fish come from environmentally responsible fisheries. + Private import wines from a variety of Latin American countries. Most of our dishes are proudly prepared using local Quebec products.A bistro ambiance, seafood, meats (glazed pork, lamb, duck and beef cheeks) and fish (including tuna and octopus) await gourmet diners. + Patio tables across from the park make for a relaxing atmosphere! / La cuisine Nuevo latino c'est un mélange de cuisine principalement du Pérou, mais adaptées aux techniques de cuisines française et européennes. "We had the tasting menu. It was totally amazing. I didn't know what to expect from 'modern latin' but I was blown away by the quality of the food and complexity of the flavours. The food was just spectacular and the staff were both knowledgable and very friendly. This is the best food I've eaten in Montreal."

"We loved our experience at Mezcla, but the door at the entry needs to be fixed... it was embarrassing to have openned the door and almost broke the glass behind it, to learn afterwards that it was broken. But other then that, the food was great, you have to try the tasting menu."

"loved the food, ambiance, setting. only slight downside was the uneven service for the first half hour. seemed like we were ignored for a good 30 mins before someone even asked if we would like a drink.
service got better as night went on, and it ended fine, but start was disappointing. Maybe they were short staffed to start as our first waiter seemed to arrive late and was kind of miserable

"Our party of 3 thoroughly enjoyed the experience. Attentive service, though a bit slow as restaurant was full. All dishes were creative and well executed and well presented without going into over the top unnecessary and tasteless showy artifices. Wine list is affordable with some known go-to wines as well as some nice and affordable discoveries. Rez needed. For 3 with 2 bottles of most expensive wine on list and 18% service, came to $450. Now open for lunch, planning to go back."

"We had the 5 course tasting menu and everything was absolutely divine. When we arrived the restaurant was almost empty but it filled up (on a cold Tuesday night)and the atmosphere got really lively. Audacious, tasty dishes (great ceviche, scallops, duck heart, tongue, porc) along with some friendly service. Highly recommended to all!"

"We thought the meal was superb. Wine was reasonably priced. Tables were a little too close to each other. Apparently I had made a mistake in the date? They thought I was coming on the Friday and I had planned on Saturday. Anyhow, they were really gracious about it. I have written them up on Trip Advisor. There is no English Translation of the menu. Unfortunately, they served the ceviche and only brought us a spoon for the juices after we had almost finished the dinner. Apparently there is no Table d'Hôte"

Waiter a bit rude and they have a very strict policy that if you want the tasting menu, the entire table has to take it, however we had a pregnant woman with us, who couldn't eat raw fish so we asked for a substitution or if she could have a la carte, but the answer was absolutely NO.

"Très bon souper, Boudin en entrée était excellent, mélange de textures et saveur parfait. Les crevettes croustillantes l'étaient aussi. En plat principal, le trio de porcelet était succulent alors que la morue noire aurait profité d'une touche rafraîchissante soit en verdure ou combinaison autre.
Avons trouvé que carte et plats manquaient de légumes, on aurait apprécié une petite verte.

"We loved our experience at Mezcla, particurlaly the great taste of foods and the service. We've been provided with good advice and an attentive service. We had ceviche, pulpe, cochonnet and joue de boeuf and pudding chômeur. Each was very good.
But we had to take our coats ourselves downstairs to the vestiaire !"

"Le repas était succulent et très abordable, excellent accueil du maître d'hôtel, par contre le service manquait un peu d'attention. Notre serveur était un peu froid et il n'est jamais venu nous offrir café/dessert/digestif, nous avons du nous lever pour lui demander, il avait de toute évidence oublié de nous avertir qu'il avait terminé son "shift" et n'avait pas prévu de relève à notre table. Par contre, tous les plats nous ont été bien expliqué. J'y retournerais pour la cuisine délicieuse."

"Innovative and engaging meal that brings continental techniques to Peruvian cuisine. Tasting menu priced below its value. Extraordinarily knowledgeable server who was enthusiastic without being to obtrusive. In a neighborhood that is not where you would expect such a warm and classy restaurant, but certainly worth the trip. Wine list not quite up to the food but certainly drinkable."

"2nd visit to this restaurant in 2 months. both times we had the menu degustation which is a great value. I was very happy they had completely changed it since last month and encourage them to continue to do so regularly. All was delicious. First visit was with a group of friends in january. This visit was with some out of town colleagues. All were impressed with the refined mix of tastes and the presentation of each course."

"The first three courses of the tasting menu were excellent, although portions were very small. The main course was bland. Service was slow for our table, but faster for some others. Although the waitress asked how the food was, she didn't seem to care that the main course had no taste, which was surprising. The restaurant was heavily pushing the pisco sour cocktail and tasting menu, rather than taking the time to explain individual items on the menu, which resulted in almost the entire restaurant having the same meal."

"Our taxi driver got lost on the way here, so that should tell you this is not a touristy spot. It was packed with locals on a weekend night. The tables are all set close together, so it's a very communal experience. We had a great time talking to the peopke sitting next to us. Very friendly. Unfortunately, we don't speak French, but this was not a problem here. The server was very genial, and was able to answer any questions. We opted for the tasting menu. Everything was unusual, and delicious. We had marinated, baby peach pits. I didn't even know these were edible... The only complaint is that the dishes are very small portions. The tasting menu was under $50, so I guess I should not have been surprised. All in all, an excellent choice."
