"The food at Seasons 52 is actually pretty good - especially for a restaurant for a mall. However, the staff have a somewhat stiff (and rather self-congratulatory) attitude. First make sure you have a reservation, otherwise you will wait in the crowded entrance before being told, with a sniff, that waits are typically 20+ minutes at lunchtime and much longer in the evenings.
The service is slow, but the servers are pleasant. They are clearly told to recite the restaurant's list of dishes, philosophy and mantra about service - whether it is wanted or not. Really - why not cut the theater and let's just order the food..... which when it comes (usually after a long wait) is actually very good and inventive."

"Our reservation must've been between shifts because there was some confusion getting seated and then we were virtually ignored for about 1/2 hr or so. We hadn't seen each other in a while so the wait was tempered by some of the catching up. By the time we started noticing that we hadn't even been given waters yet, the restaurant was also beginning to realize. Everybody was very apologetic and the manager came over personally and offered to buy a round a drinks (we'd literally just ordered a round of cocktails). Apart from the initial confusion, the restaurant itself is beautiful, great food, entertaining with a live pianist/singer in the bar area and, I'm certain on any other occasion, attentive. Would definitely recommend."

"We were sat inside despite wanting to be outside. But being outside was a problem because the garbage truck had just picked up the garbage at the rear of the restaurant and the stench was awful. It was a very unpleasant way to start our mother's day brunch. The manager did not care to listen when I mentioned this and neither did anyone else. The server was nice and the food was good. Nice restaurant to have in the area but a bit arrogant."

"As always the food was EXCELLENT and service was outstanding. Went there for Mother's Day celebration and could not have asked for a better location or food. Filet Mignon was SOOOO tender and flavorful - not sure how they do it and still stay under 475 calories. GREAT!!!!"

"Just a note..when ordering wine our server was quite stingy. He gave us a little more than 1/2 a glass of the prosecco and when asked to fill the glass to a full serving...he would not. We all felt that that also set the mood for the evening on a negative step.

"We have been here quite a few times. The food continues to be good considering the calorie count. The only negative thing I can say is that it was really loud this time. If you want to have a conversation with more than 2 people, it is hard to hear. Especially for older patrons. The food and service are always outstanding. It is a good place to go if you want activity and a good bar scene with the piano player."

"It was good, not great. Food presentation is nice. Food portion small. Food taste just ok. The whole 475 calorie per plate thing leaves you a little hungry, and I'm not a big person. May give it another try. I had the scallops - not very flavorful. My friend had the shrimp with penne -- very small portion. We also split a field green salad. A bunch of lettuce, two cherry tomatoes and one piece of cucumber...really? Oh, a sprinkle of sunflower seeds.
This meal was too expensive to be unimpressive."

"I recently went to dine with a good friend at Seasons 52. It was the fourth time for both of us quite simply because we love the food, the setting, and the ambience.
This time, however, the service was less than ideal--to the point of making dining there a negative rather than our usual positive, even idyllic experience. This time it was painful. We are not impatient people, but the service was so slow and, frankly, we went unnoticed for long periods of time. Very disappointing. We were unable to determine if this was a result of understaffing or the nature of our particular server. We will be sending the restaurant a brief note asking for clarification.
This restaurant is a gem. So sorry this single experience colored it questionable."

"The "yes" on the would you recommend.... question has a caveat. This is an especially good spot for those of us trying to cut down on calories and still not live on celery sticks. It is also refreshing to look around the room and generally see people who look after themselves weight wise. Our one complaint is the noise level. Energetic? How about deafening. I've eaten in quieter bowling alleys. I know this is a fad right now, but it is a bad one and we are steadily finding decent restaurants in which we can carry on a conversation."

"Finally, a restaurant where health-conscious people can get a great meal with no regrets. The food is high quality, and the portions are a manageable size. This is especially true of their amazing desserts which are served in tall shot glasses. Sometimes you just want a little something sweet after a meal instead of gorging yourself on a huge hunk of something laden with fat and sugar. These little dessert gems are so flavor-intense, a few spoonfuls really are enough to satisfy!"

"We were 4 seniors looking for an early dinner after a movie. Seasons 52 was perfect, lots of choices but reasonable portions served attractively. Our waiter was very considerate and helpful. Only problem is that during prime times, it is very difficult to get a table and can be very noisy. Hence we made reservations and went early."

"The food was very good, I had only dined at the LA Seasons 52 so this was my first time here. Definitely have a flat bread to start, it's light and delicious. I always go for the salmon with veggies and I've been happy every time. My friend had a vegetarian plate thrown together (thank you chef for your flexibility) and everything was so fresh and flavorful. Will definitely be back."

"UTC has had a terrible selection of good food for years. The "new" UTC has given us a few actual choices in the area for good food. Seasons 52 hits those but fails on a few counts. The food is tasty and the piano bar fun. But their gimmick (seasonal menus) isn't really noticeable as they only seem to change a few items on the menu. And the food, while tasty, isn't spectacular for the price. Also, noise levels in the venue are quite loud. I believe it is owned by the company that owns Olive Garden and it was described as a "fancy Olive Garden." I think that's a fair assessment."

"After sitting for ten minutes with nary a waitress in sight, we flagged someone down for water. He told us our waitress was "on a break." However, he took over the job and was great! From making sure we liked our wine choices to recommendations about what to order, he made up for the shaky start. The food was quite tasty and well-prepared but the dessert stole the show. Brandon brought a tray of small desserts--just a few bites but a perfect and tasty amount . We will definitely be back!"

"We had great expectations about this place, but everything about Seasons 52 was pretty mediocre.
They pretend to be a fine dining establishment with weekly seasonal menus, they even ask you if you'd like a black or white napkin; but everything else including service, food and atmosphere is no better than an Aplebee's or Chili's, but with upscale prices.
You can't help but feel that you are eating at the hotel lobby restaurant.
Save you self some cash and go to a nearby Cheesecake Factory instead, at least there service is usually decent and goon is not bad for a casual chain."

"Season 52 has a lot going for it -- but I love the idea of tiny bites of dessert for $2.50. And they are top notch desserts, too. Everyone else has said all there is to say about the seasonal menu, healthy preparation of the food, gorgeous presentation, etc. It was a great experience and deserves all the hype it has received."

"Having been to Seasons 52 on a number of occasions, I can honestly say that this restaurant is my absolute favorite. I love the menu philosophy with no item exceeding a healthy number of calories. "Food and service excellent as always. Will say the piano bar musician was a tad too loud piped through the restaurant, and I don't believe he knew any material that was more recent than 1962. "If Ever I Should Leave You" was sung by Robert Goulet on Broadway in about that time period ... haha! But I love the food and think it's very creative and simple and gorgeous."

"I've been to Seasons 52 quite a bit recently. Everything is great, with the exception of two things: the piano in the middle of the bar is poorly planned. He is in the way of the bar staff and the music is too loud for that area. The second issue is the wait staff - all of my wait staff have been woefully inexperienced. Better training needs to happen at this restaurant. Decor, food, wine and menus are excellent. Wait staff, and noise level need improvement."

"I went to Seasons 52 for the first time a couple of weeks ago with some friends. Since then I have been back 2 more times for both lunch and dinner. The fresh selections are amazing. Since the menu is always changing you never get tied of eating the same thing. Everything is delicious and well prepared. The staff is also very friendly and helpful. A big thumbs up to our server Summer who is the friendliest person you ever want serving you."

"This is our 5th time visiting this restaurant which we really like. However, on a busy Saturday evening, the front desk staff was frazzled. We were waiting for friends so when they sat us at our table, we asked them to let our friends know. Our friends came in 10 mins. later & they sat them at another table on the other side of the restaurant. I had forgotten my cell phone so I was unable to reach them. It took us 1/2 hour to find each other. When we mentioned this to our delightful waitress, Shelby, she was horrified. However, we asked her to tell the mgr., Andrew (whom we met the week before), which she did & he didn't even come over to apologize. This was the first time our guests were there & we don't think they were impressed"

"Food and service were excellent. I liked the idea that all of the food was "calorie conscious" and freshly prepared. The entree salads were large and very good. For the larger eaters (like my husband) he had to order a salad and a main dish, making it pretty pricey. Hardly an "vegetables" with the salmon entree....could have used more than one small peice of 3-4 veggies. My daughter and I stuck to the salads which were reasonable as an entree."
