"I love the Tasting Room, but the brunch was disappointing. My husband's eggs were seriously overcooked and mine had undercooked whites. However they had a great special on Prosecco, and the service was excellent, so I would still recommend going."

"The patio is a great place to spend a beautiful evening. Several smokers spoiled the fresh air but overall you can't beat the atmosphere and great wine list!"

"Easter Brunch was our first trip to The Tasting Room. We arrived just after the main lunch crush, and it seemed that they had not been prepared for the rush as many of the items were slow to be replenished. Even the basics such as plates and utensils were slow to be restocked. The variety, however, was well worth the price and I defy you to find a better kids' brunch for $7.99."

"Took my elderly aunt there for Easter Brunch. Made the reservation and said she was in wheelchair, staff seemed surprised when we came in. We were put at a little two-top just inside the door in the bar where her chair didn't really fit. Waitress was great! Food: some fresh fruit would've been nice. Several of the steamers were empty or "crusty." The "shrimp and grits" had no shrimp, grits were like mush. Other items okay. Like this place for wine and bistro food, but no more brunches."

"Maybe better for regular meals, but we were there for Easter brunch. Seemed thrown together and not so well organized. Buffet nice but nothing standout. Staff appeared to be overwhelmed. Had to ask for salt, pepper and butter and it didn't seem that customers were expected to want them. Very pleasant staff but too thinly spread. Overall would not recommend for that type of meal."

"Apart from the fact that we had a table right beside the bar, it took 3 requests to get a waitress to take our order - I have to say this is the opposite experience I have had to most places in the Galleria area. It was early on Friday eveling and busy but not flat out.
That said the wine selection was good( as expected) and the food great) Once we did get a waitress the service was good.
I'll go back as it is a good spot"

"We enjoyed our experience; however, upon arrival and explaining that we had made a reservation, we were told to go out and find our table, which were able to do without much trouble. It doesn't seem as if there is any point to making a reservation, as it will not be honored."

"I WILL NEVER COME HERE AGAINMy fiancé and I visited the Tasting Room in Uptown park to see if it would be a possible venue for our rehearsal dinner this year. We made reservations, but when we got there, there was nobody and the entrance to greet us and the bartender said they don't take reservations and had no idea we were coming. The event manager had also planned, confirmed, and re-confirmed to meet us there to show us around and give us a proposal. She was nowhere to be found, and a bartender said she left and didn't know if or when she would be back. When we sat at our table, our waitress brought out food before others even ordered, the food was saugy and bland, and the waitress was nowhere to be found. Worst $60 I've ever spent!"

"I went there last night on a "first date", had called the day before to make a reservation for 2 at 8:00.
Arrived early by 45 minutes as our schedules cleared and went in to see if we could be seated earlier than our reservations. Place was packed so was not expecting to be seated early.
Was greeted promptly told him my name and before I could ask he called me by name and said my table was ready, escorted us to the table (I had ordered flowers) arrived at table flowers were there!
Had a nice bottle of wine and a couple of small plates that were terrific, band was great and the wait staff very helpful and attentive.
When leaving again was addressed by name and thanked for stopping by, this was my first time at The Tasting Room an"

"We were the only ones who made a reservation, which I thought no problem, until they told us to seat ourselves. We had to finally ask someone to serve us. When we began to order, I was told what I wanted wasnt on the menu despite me pointing it out. Finally, the waiter agreed it could be ordered, but never apologized for his mistake. When asked what dressings were available he said, "No, you have to get what it comes with", but couldn't tell us what it was. Later, we ordered dessert and another glass of wine. I ordered and my friend ordered the same. 20 minutes later, he reruns with one glass and gave it to her! I asked for mine and he said "oh, you wanted one too?" My friend and I were both surprised since I'm the one that ordered it it!"

"First time ever to The Tasting Room. We will DEFINITELY be back again soon. Great place to have a wonderful glass of wine with a great, casual meal. Conveniently located in Uptown Park. Wine selection is impressive. I love the idea that you can taste ANY wine before buying it, irregardless if you're ordering a glass or a bottle. Great place!! Highly recommended."

"Awful service and amazing food. Our server took our food order and never came back. We had to place drink orders with bar or busser because our wine glasses would sit empty for 20 min. We also ordered a pizza that never came. After 30 minutes of another round of empty wine glasses and no main dish, we ended up going to the bar to close out our tab and leave. She received a $2.00 tip on a $50 tab. I always tip way over 20% but this was such horrible service. It seemed to be an unorganized mess all around and all servers and bar staff were distracted. When she was taking our order, a manager came up to tell her she was being sat again and she was right in the middle of talking when he did this. I found this extremely rude as well."

"I usually go to this place for happy hour or private events and that is what I will continue to do. For this occasion, I went for a business meeting/lunch and should have thought twice. The tables were not set up to where you could have conversation as they were rectangular and bench style. Not very professional for our meeting. Also, the waiter did not allow us to chat for a while before having to order so it interrupted the flow of the meeting. This is a great place, but not for business purposes."

"Hubby & I were looking on OpenTable for a late night bite and decided on TTR in Uptown Park. Energetic scene, great live music and the food was delish. We had mini grilled cheese sandwiches, truffle fries & one of the pizzas. Yummy. And, of course, some vino to pair."
