49 West has an ambiance that is replicated all through Europe but brought to you right here in Annapolis!

We serve breakfast, lunch and dinner daily. There are plentiful amounts of wines by the glass and a nice mixture of bourbons, cognacs and martinis. Thinking of dessert? 49 West has a wonderful display of delectable choices that will please your sweet desire!

We also have our art change monthly and there is an art reception to meet and greet the artist the first Sunday of every month from 5-7pm.

"49 West came highly recommended and it didn't disappoint. We went there for Easter Brunch and even got to sit near where they had live music playing. The food was great, filling and healthy. Service was good - our water and coffee were always full. And the homemade desserts were to die for. We will definitely be going back."

"The dishes were much tastier than expected. I was hesitant to dine there and didn't have great expectations but I figured the restaurant was worth a try. It generally seems busy...

I was quite pleased with the menu options and what seems to be fresh tasting food. I think the restaurant could have used one more server for the number of individuals but if you weren't in a rush, then the evening would have been just fine. Chelsea was attentive and seemed to have managed her customers well, considering. And good barista.
Food ordered: Turkey Spinach soup, crab cake dinner, rabbit salad, lean turkey sandwich with a side of fruit (order the strawberry mustard on the side)."

"When visiting 49 West for the first time, I was a little concerned about how they could pack art gallery, winebar and coffeehouse elements together without one overpowering the other. The cozy seating like that of a bistro was married quite well with an uncluttered display of art. Then as my lump crabcakes arrived, two people very quietly, almost unnoiticeably sat down add began to play and all of the sudden I was being serenaded by the sounds of jazz singing the french language. All in all, the all around experience will definitely make me a return customer. This place is a great place for good food and a peaceful dining experience."

"My waitress almost never came around between taking our order, appetizers, and after dinner was delivered! She didn't realize I finished my beverage before appetizers were done. It took forever to wave her down to get the check. A lot of times she was in the vicinity and just never made eye contact with me at my table!

Brie appetizer was good.

The entree (chicken mojito) was bland. It was not restaurant quality. More like what I would get if a friend had to cook me a simple dish. Sub par for a restaurant or even dining out."

"It truly is a Wine Bar/Coffeehouse rather than a "restaurant" The food and drink was fine, but this is not a place for a formal, quiet meal.
PS they had some not very complimentary things to say about the quality of the Open Table service."

"Our experience at 49 West was delightful. From our very efficient and helpful waiter to the superior quality of the fresh food, no complaints. The crab cake made with lump crab meat was excellent. We had never tried celery root salad (the waiter recommended it for our sides). We loved it. Their Key Lime pie was excellent. I would definitely go there again."
