"My wife and I dined here on a Sunday evening. We enjoyed the baked brie appetizers along with the clams. She had salmon for her entree and I had the roasted chicken. The food was quite good. Unfortunately we were seated in an area that was slightly uncomfortable because of the spotlight shining down directly on me from overhead. A gentleman a couple of tables away had a similar situation. I caught his eye, pointed up, and he nodded knowingly. That light should be on a dimmer. Although the piano player was quite capable, he was also QUITE LOUD. TOO LOUD! Because we dined at 6pm, the restaurant didn't have too many customers eating yet, so the place was almost empty. He could have toned it down a notch, make that two notches."

"We always liked the "cellar" which was not open the last time we were there. Fortunately it was open his time. The background guitar was great. Food excellent. Ask to be seated in the cellar for best "ambience.""

"I wasn't very impressed with the menu. I thought there would be salmon, and a little more variety. The clams were good, but served in a bowl that was made weird, so the juice did not cover the clams all the way, not a good thing. The cod fish was ok, and the meat with the salad was little over-marinated. On a scale of 1-10, I give it a 5."

"My family of 11 came here to celebrate my mom's 50th birthday and they made it a great experience! The pianist played happy birthday for her and because my 82 year old Grandma is a piano teacher they visited and he was great to her. They brought out dessert, were great to my 3 year old nephew and the first thing the waitress said when she walked up was "Happy Birthday" to my mom. A great experience, great staff, great food! Thank you!"

"The food was well prepared and delicious, with decent seasonal menu options. A very pleasant meal in a relaxed setting with overall good service.
Need to expand the wine list to strengthen their Washington and Oregon choices. We live in Sonoma County so were not looking for CA wines. There were many CA choices, but a disappointing selection of white wines from WA and OR. But what a beautiful wine cellar downstairs!
Wait staff left serving dishes on the table long after we had finished eating. Piano player/singer a bit loud, making conversation difficult.
We will go back again."

"I think that its wrong to have just one menu price for valentines day 90 dollar coarse meal because not everyone can afford that and you loose business that way i really liked wine cellar until i booked a valentines diner reservation which spoiled the end of the evening"

"Restaurant noise was not energetic, but loud and noisy (pots, pans, dishes). This was mostly due to the exposed kitchen. We felt like we needed to shout to each other to carry on a conversation between the two of us. Not a relaxing dinner environment. The timing of our service (water, bread, salad, wine, and finally dinner in that order) was disappointing. You should not receive a your salad before your bottle of wine. We had to make sure our server did not bring our main course before we had a chance to enjoy a glass of wine. The final and biggest surprize was when we received our bill. We noticed that the server did not charge us for our bottle of wine. When we brought it to his attention, he said "Oh" and took the bill and brought"

"We had the owner as our waitress...
I ask her to please pace the food so it would not come out all at once...
Before we finished the appetizer we got our salad..before we finished our salad we got our entree.. so much for the request.
I had a drink when we arrived.....I had to ask someone to get our waitress for a refill when our salads were done..no one came to check on us for refills until my request.... 3/4 through my entree I received my drink... very poor service...and this from the owner...
My guests potatoes were cold and my carrots were also cold.. the meat was good tasting but poor quality...hard to chew
also the selection of wines by the glass is 3 or 4 low quality domestic type ...not very good for a place called the wine ce"

"Asked via Open Table for a table by the live music, which they did. Music was very good.
Wine list was impressive and I found a good bottle.
We were not impressed with the food. My ribeye steak was ordered Medium Rare and came well done. My wife's prime rib was ordered Medium and came Medium Rare. Flavor on the ribeye was good but the prime rib was the chewiest we've ever had."
