"Our lunch experience was good! met all our expectations there were several accomodations made to the menu with out issue. Service was effecient with out being intrusing our over bearing food quality met expectations. given the location the space is clean open and inviting. I would reccommend this rerstaurant for lunch and will be back."

"We didn't hear about this restaurant until we scouted Restaurant Week locations. We gazed at the menu and thought we'd give it a shot. This place would get passed by most foodie's when you see where it is....tucked between a little pizza shop and a Panda Express. The only thing you see is the sign for the restaurant above the wooden doors, but once you enter you already know this place means business. The beef medallions with polenta, the posole soup, and then finishing off with the salted caramel and dark chocolate budino....it was a delicious voyage through Rusconi's restaurant week menu. Even with doing the Restaurant Week menu, we realized we had to come back to try so many of the other dinner menu offerings. Make sure to GO!!!"

"I have visited Rusconi's several times since it opened, and have never been disappointed. I have used it for business dinners, as well as just dinners with my wife and friends. Each time the experience has been excellent. The food is consistently excellent, but just as importantly, the service has been prompt and friendly (provided by several different servers over the visits). Rusconi's is an excellent value for the price, with some very unique dishes."

"You wouldn't necessarily look twice at Rusconi's in the strip mall on Tatum and Shea but because a friend had recommended it, we decided to check it out for Restaurant Week. We were not disappointed. Although a little loud inside, it had a nice layout and decor. The menu had many things that sounded good but we stuck to the Restaurant Week menu. Best desert I have had in a long time---the Budoni! Chocolate and caramel and sea salt! Yum! Our waiter was good....nothing to complain about. A very satisfying meal and well worth the trip to strip mall land!~"

"Mussels were excellent and very good value, while the daily special of pork in green chile was excellent, but should have included a small salad as $14 was steep for the small casserole with a flour tortilla. The posole is not authentic or better than the original in any way. Take it off the menu or create real posole with the trimmings."

"Had lunch at Rusconi's this past Sunday, Mother's day (12 May 2013). Four people and three different entrees. Everything was great and we cleaned our plates. I had the Green Chili Pork Stew which was great and left me full until about 8 PM that night. The spices in this stew were peppery but not fiery.

For desert we tried two of the (they said) house-made ice creams; they were great! Especially the double-chocolate "rascherry" ice cream. I've never seen a "rascherry" before but these were a delicious ingredient for ice cream."

"I'd heard nothing but good things about this new neighborhood spot - and they were true. Terrific and knowledgeable server, with good explanations about the unfamiliar dishes. We were a party of 5 for an early lunch mid-week and it was quite full by the time we left.
Short rib sliders were very good - nice rolls and easy to eat!

"We have gone to Rusconi's many times and it is a place you can go with friends, eat good food, and be treated well. I eat mostly a Atkins like diet and do wish they had more options in that area, but what they have is very good. My wife tried the osso buco for the first time and liked it a ton. A friend tried the ravioli--which is a deconstructed ravioli with squash--and liked it too. I thought the ravioli was an imaginative take on what is usually a tired menu afterthought. My mom had the roasted chicken and thought it was excellent. Good food, service, and a comfortable place to eat it in; what's not to like?"

"We very much enjoyed the food and the service was excellent. Problem: Like so many trendy restaurants now, it was extremely LOUD! Since we are in the age group over 60, people's hearing begins to deteriorate and we find ourselves shouting at the top of our lungs to the people seated 2 feet from us. It is exhausting and takes away from the enjoyment of the meal with everyone constantly asking, "What?" and having to repeat oneself 2 or 3 times. Pretty soon, you just stop talking. We find ourselves choosing restaurants like Coups de Tartes, L'Amore and BLT Steakhouse to go for a quiet meal more and more. A heads up to all the trendy, in, now restauranteurs: If I want to eat someplace noisy, I'll eat at Costco. Carpet would help."

"Thankfully, the food was really good because the service was not. It took us over 20 minutes for the waiter to take our drink order and that was only after we asked three different people to help us. The waiter was frazzled but the chef did come out and apologize. The food was really good (salmon, lamb, steak). Not a bad choice with the four entrees. We ordered dessert and were brought one that was wrong with no explanation. When we inquired we were told that the one we ordered was not available. Fortunately, they didn't charge us for it. When we got the bill, we were a little surprised that nothing was done for all of the issues. We'll give it one more try since the food was so good."

"Rusconi's American Grill has become my favorite restaurant in Phoenix. There is no greater value in the desert than this restaurant - the quality of the food, the level of service and the overall ambiance of the restaurant is way higher than one would expect at the prices they charge. Ask for the Green Chili Stew that's not on the menu - it's a great shared appetizer or a delicious entree when you're sitting at the bar watching the D'backs!"

"We loved Rusconis! The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars was because the front door makes it look as though it is closed/underconstruction and also one of our meals was just OK.

There were three of us and we started with the pork belly/polenta: TO DIE FOR. Also the artichoke dip was delicious. My husband's flat iron steak/truffled mac/cheese was phenomenal, so was my pork Osso Bucco. My mouth was in heaven. Our friends "Kitchen" burger was OK...nothing to write home about.

We will most DEFINITELY be back! This place is awesome!"

"We went during happy hour (4-6) and sat in the bar. We both ordered a couple appetizers and were very satisfied. My friend loved her chopped salad and mussels, which I tasted, and although not a mussel fan, loved the flavors. I ordered the pork belly with vanilla infused grits and poblano glaze. I requested the glaze on the side and was glad I did, because the flavors stood alone, and the glaze, although tasty, was a bit on the sweet side. I also ordered the shortrib sliders, but after tasting the pork belly, I wanted more (it's very tiny!) and ordered another, then gave the sliders to my friend to take home.
I am still thinking of the pork belly. That alone will pull me back. Great friendly service and very enjoyable experience."

"We had heard good things so perhaps our expectations were too high resulting in disappointment. There was a large birthday group and a group at the bar that were oblivious to all others and very noisy. I asked our waiter for some butter for my mashed garlic potatoes and he ignored me and walked away. Perhaps he didn't hear because of the noise. Could taste no garlic in the garlic mashed potatoes. We don't go out that often anymore, so we are disappointed if we do not have a really good experience. This was not a really good experience."

"Our first dinner here but very impressed. The cauliflower soup is superb! We did a rack of lamb, buffalo steak and a pork osso bucco. All were well prepared, served at the appropriate temp and tasty as all get out.
We have done lunch here twice and are very pleased to recommend this place. Michael is superb chef!"

"I had short rib (pot roast) sliders that were very good. My dining partner had a roasted cauliflower soup (he said was great) and the special of the day which I think was a green chile pork stew (which he also said was great).

The restaurant looked very good inside. Bright and airy. They've done a good job of design for the restaurant. The seating area is deceptively large. When you drive up, from the parking lot, the dining room looks as though it must be tiny. But once you walk into the restaurant you find that the dining room "dog-legs" around to the right with a larger space."

"Enjoyed a nice brunch in this new neighborhood restaurant. Food was plated nicely and was tasty. Service was very good but we did expereince a slight wait for food to arrive with few tables occupied on a Sunday morning. Portions were right sized for brunch which tended to be on the smaller side."
