"Excellent food and great upstairs bar. The outdoor patio on the roof has fire pits and is cigar friendly and allows enough space for non smokers to breathe clean air. The wine list is very good with a good by the glass selection, and the cheese bar is a terrific place to hang out for a light meal or after hours snack."

"Drinks were refreshing..had the waiter surprise me with a drink from the bar and it was delicious. Food was good. Did the Tartare Sampler, Scallops, Pasta as a main dish, and a side of pasta to accompany the scallops. The side pasta was bigger than my main entree but both were good. As the restaurant got busier the waiter was less attentive to us and we sat quite a while before he brought our check. I was hoping he was working on a bday dessert of some sort as I had mentioned it was a bday celebration when I made the reservations. But no go...not even a mention. We checked out the lounge upstairs where music was supposed to be playing, but we must have been too early. Left feeling OK about the evening but underwhelmed."

"The food is truly amazing - but not cheap! Be prepared to spend some serious dollars - - the servers are all Italian, which is cute, but they are stretched thin - so waiting is not unusual - - But the food overcomes all else!"

"We've dined at Bice on two occasions and both proved to be exceptional. I recommend you allow the waiter / waitress to assist in the wine and food selection. Many great Italian wines and the evening specials have always been a treat. On our last visit the owner took time to talk with us and share his experience in opening the restaurant, as well as its origins in Milan. Our server was exceptional as well. She was attentive, but gave us our space and time appropriately. Expect many more great dining experiences in the future at Bice."

"Drinks were inconsistent. First Appletini came with a cherry, second one was missing it. One of the martinis ordered was a Vesper, but they were missing an ingredient. Backup drink was a Grey Goose with cocktail onions. Drinks came, but no onions. Had to ask them for it two more times. Food good, but didn't knock our socks off. It just seemed that for the prices, they would be a bit more on their game."

"First visit here and although the service was a bit patchy initially, it improved a bit as the evening wore on. The food was good with a varied menu to suit all tastes and reasonably priced. There were a mixture of parties from couples to large groups and all managed to blend in together. Very nice, airy feel to the decor with white tablecloths giving it that extra luxurious touch. Overall a good experience but extra marks lost for the shakey service."

"Food was sub part at best, not would I expect for the prices this restaurant was charging. My so called gnocchi was just a bowl of mush, not even separate dumplings. and my dining companions' meal was not much better. Our service was intrusive, the water continually interuppted us to ask us if we wanted drink re-fills (just re-fill the drinks). And the restaurant was incredibly noisy. Was very disappointed and would not go back. There are many options in Scottsdale that are much better at those prices."

"Bice Scottsdale is still settling into its new self, but holds promise in a neighborhood that has been missing a first-class restaurant for several years. The space has been beautifully re-designed and appointed. The staff is pleasant but seems a bit uncertain at this point. The food and drinks are outstanding --five stars! The room is just a bit too "energetic"; noisy would be a more approrpiate descriptor."

"The meal started well with terrific starters. After ordering our entrees our waiter
disappeared, the food served by other staff. Two of the four entrees were uneatable.
The clams in white sauce contained so much red pepper it burned the mouth.(this after
Specifically asking our waiter, and he assuring us, to leave the pepper out) The chicken
Dish was so undercooked it middle was pink. Since our waiter vanished, no one to
Ask to rectify the problem. Finally he did return but to late. In an effort to right the problem they did comp dessert. A big case of to little to late.
In summary, poorly trained staff really bad food I would not go back ever."

"This was our second visit. Our first experience was wonderful; food was memorable; service likewise.
Unfortunately, this time was not noteworthy. First, the service was spotty and mechanical; the waiter was simply doing his job and was not welcoming in any way.

The appetizer, caprese, always is presentd with fresh mozzarella and vine-ripened tomoties. This time it was a smoked, packaged dry mozzarella with grape tomatoes - almost a generic offering that fell flat. Two of us had Veal Milanese which was overcooked."

"Thought restaurant was fine but except for the tri colore salad , bread and waiter, I probably wouldn't return. Had requested a table away from a serving area and door and ours was magically seated by both when better tables were available.
Outdoor area on second floor is inviting for a drink/appetizer."

"When living in Milan we were huge fans of Bice. We were impressed how well the experience in Scottsdale emulated our past experience. The menu and the food were true Italian. The flavors and presentation were very typical. We enjoyed a great meal and wine. Service was good but more typical of the USA. Restaurant was more open and so a bit noisier than ideal but they were the sounds of folks having a really good time."

"While the food was good, the Cesar salad was on the skimpy side for $15 and on the low side taste wise. It needs some work. The gnocchi and tortellini were excellent. The risotto was a bit too mushie. I thought that the prices were a touch too high when matched with similar Italian type restaurants."

"Bice, Scottsdale did not disappoint. The menu is varied, though not for the plain eater among you. Didn't sample the wine list this time. The decor is beautiful cosmopolitan. Our waiter Micheali was most attentive, professional & offered suggestions. Both he and the kitchen were accomodating even though I requested dietary adjustments to my dish. He even acknowledged our anniversary. My tepid coffee was delivered by a novice, but this was otherwise a most enjoyable Italian evening out."

"Our food was of great quality...the only thing lacking was some seasoning...such as in the veal milanese...great veal chop pounded down, but is was missing herbs and seasoning in the bread crumbs.....i would also suggest a balsamic type of dressing rather than a lemony one on the salad .

We did enjoy our evening at Bice and glad that they finally opened in the north valley."

"This newly opened(3months) restaurant is not yet coordinated for good service.
Our waiter was not well informed on wines, and not nearly attentive as he should have been.
Our salads and pasta dishes were good,but the Branzino (signature dish) was undercooked and slimy.
No one asked us as we sat over the Branzino if we liked our meal,or if we were finished.
Eventually the busboy came and asked...and told our waiter...who only then got our report.
The waiter never asked the manager to come to our table. He deducted one entree from our check-and never offered desert.
A good restaurant would have had the manager involved--and certainly with some apology."

"We have been to the Bice in New York and were very disappointed Friday night with our experience. We would never return or recommend this restaurant. The service was good, the food fair and the prices out of line for the food caliber."

"Cigar lounge a plus. Our food was better the last time we ate there. I would recommend Bice but with qualifiers -- it was very noisy, and our table this time did not allow for any privacy or romantic moments. We will return, but carefully select time and be prepared to more carefully review the menu."

"Very disappointing. We had enjoyed dining at Bice Restaurants in other cities, but this was dismal.
Very few diners in restaurants. Staff seemed to be wondering around and yet totally inattentive. Our server described the entrée incorrectly."

"Very mixed experience both times we have been. Food was not outstanding, first course came quickly and then we got lost for over an hour. Diners who came after us had finished and were getting doggy bags when my husband finally saw someone to ask we hadn't been served. Then we were told it had not been that long. We were given complimentary deserts."

"It's a great new place, has some kinks to work out but nothing to deter you from going. Italian and good, also expensive but hey it's not unreasonable. Been twice, both times was good food and second time we tried the little pizza bar in the back you have to ask about.."

"This is the second time we visited Bice. The food was far below what we expected. The veal dry & crusty, the mushroom & ravoli very bland. Some of the cheese was nice and some not. The service was good although the wait staff makes one feel they are dining in an over the top Italian movie. The ambiance is very nice. I would not rush to dine there again. Valerie Kopp"
