Dragonfly Cafe and Gardens
Dragonfly Cafe and Gardens is set on the ground floor in a 1930′s Baptist church with the Oregon Cabaret Theatre above it, this restaurant couldn't be more charming. Whether you sit in the cobble-stoned, tree-lined secret garden or in the hexagon shaped dining room surrounded by French doors, this restaurant is a highlight of any Ashland Oregon trip.

"I went with a group for lunch and ordered the grilled chicken sandwich on rosemary bread. I'm not sure what grill they grilled the chicken on, but it wasn't what I expected. Little nuggets of chicken in some sort of sweet marinade, definitely not my idea of grilled. The sandwich was pretty flavorless although sweet tasting. The best part of the meal were the chips and salsa and the rosemary bread.
The waiter forgot about us. I had to go ask for the check. They were pretty slammed at that point (after 12:00pm) and I am sure understaffed. I can understand and sympathize. I MIGHT go back to try the dinner menu. Overall, not impressed with lunch."

"Asian/South American combo that are flavor packed large portions good to share. Favorite was chopped salad of greens carnitas, corn chips, salsa, cheese & wonderful vinaigrette. Also shared shrimp curry with very soba type noodles which we took half home. Next time split appetizer & salad due to large portions. Wonderful creative cocktails, yummy. Charge to split so ask for second plate 7 do it yourself."

"We had a terrible experience. It was busy and I don't know if there wasn't enough staff that night for some reason or not. The food was hit or miss. No one in our party thought the food was good. It was just ok. The plaintain and carnitas appetizer I ordered was plain bad. The plaintains were tasteless and had the consistency of cardboard and the carnitas were completely dried out. After being seated it was 20 minutes before anyone came to our table to check in. They took our order for drinks and meal then is was 35 minutes before our server checked back with us so we could order drinks and only then after we flagged him down. It was another 20 minutes before we got our meal and the server never visited us again except to leave the check."

"This was my first time at this restaurant. My experience was very favorable, but people around me were discussing disappointments. I discussed different menu options with my server who made suggestions that proved to be spot on. I would definitely return because many items sounded quite tempting. I would just ask the server for suggestions because consistency could be an issue here."

"It took us an hour to get our food from when we walked in. We had a reservation and were seated quickly but our order did not get taken for 15 minutes and then it took another 40 to get our food. we had to get to a show so had to slurp our food dow in 10 minutes. The plantain stick appetizers were so thin that they were all grease and no flavor. The chile of the chile relleno was undercooked and tough. There was little flavor. We were quite disappointed as we have eaten at Isabel's in Portland , part of this same restaurant group, and have had excellent service and food there."

We made our reservations at 6:15 giving us plenty of time to go the Friday night preview showing of Taming of the Shrew. We did not get out meal until 7:20 and you can imagine, we were getting anxious. Our waiter was very good. But after getting seated at 6:15 and not getting our meal until 7:20, our conversation was beginning to lag. We didn't linger over our meal! What was the problem??"

"I took my fiance to Dragonfly for Valentines day this year. The service & food was great! I had the steak with a bed of amazing greens under neither, and Misty had the fish taco's which she loved!

"We've made dinner reservations and first one to come in before the crowds arrived. I'm glad we did or service but me slower. To start we ordered Lettuce (chicken) Wraps; Latin Steak Frites for myself and Fish Tacos for my spouse. The sides salsa was awesome....We truly enjoyed our meal and cleaned out our plates and sorry to say we didn't have room for desserts. The portion was perfect enough to fill us up. We'll definitely be back!"
