Bosk, the signature restaurant at Shangri-La Hotel, Toronto, brings to life ingredients harvested a la minute from a network of respected local suppliers. Diners can expect old-world cooking styles combined with contemporary ingredients, and served with genuine, caring service.
Bosk seats 80 diners, including private dining for up to 30 and a seasonal, outdoor terrace which wraps around the southeast corner of the building. In the summer months, the terrace offers table service for 40.
"We had the tasting menu which was not only delicious but beautiful as well. Morsels came out on mahogany coloured wood rounds, stepped platters, painted with jalapeno and soups served from oversized Japanese sake pitchers. Trevor, our primary server, was considerate enough to ask if we were on a timeline for a show. We weren't so he set our pace by how quickly we finished our flights of wine. The wines themselves didn't make sense at times when he presented and served each one, but were absolutely amazing when combined with the food. Bravo!
All in all it was a fantastic choice for a special birthday dinner. I will definitely recommend it for special occasions and business meetings/meals with their private dining rooms!"

"Bosk food is impeccably cooked and wonderfully seasoned with precise balance of the competing flavours . Portions are on the small side but I felt pleasantly full ( not stuffed) at the end of the meal . The wine selection offers many options and shows an intelligent choice across price levels although there are no bargains. Bosk doesn't rate 5 stars because other Toronto restaurants in its league offer a bit more excitement and imagination in seasonings and flavour but Bosk comes quite close but charges the same high end prices. Still, it is worth a visit for those looking for food in Toronto's top league."

"We had a wonderful night here, the food was out of this world. They paid attention to every single detail. Our server gave us the royal treatment too. I'd definitely go back. It can get a little expensive, but definitely worth it."

"Went to Bosk for my wife's birthday and we seated in a cozy section facing University Ave. The service was amazing from the start. It was our first time at this restaurant and after looking at the menu we decided to try the chef's tasting menu. I had high expectations coming in and it surpassed them all on each course. A very memorable meal and we had a great time. Will definitely return again to try the other items on the a la carte menu."

"1) $18 for valet parking in the hotel (no parking for public) & the restaurant do not validate for the parking! 2) For the quality of food, it's fine, but nothing special. Totally OVER-PRICE. They dare to charge $2.5 for a glass of still water! $7 for a cappacino! And the worst part, it tastes like instant coffee!!! 3) Noisy & small & awful decor. I felt like sitting in a cafeteria! Horrible lighting! There is only minimal amount of lighting. I can barely see my dinner! Almost like eating in the dark! This restaurant is a total rip off! It's not right to charge so much when you don't even qualify the basic standard! And if you don't make customers satisfy, nobody will come back! I can't stand it & need to tell everyone about this!"

"With the demise of The Studio Cafe in the now defunct Four Seasons, it is such a delight to find an impressive replacement. Somewhat pricey, BOSK offers an excellent replacement. An elegant, refined room, impecable, friendly and warm service, and no ambient noise (read no obnoxious loud music) and a chef who will create food options to meet even the most high-maintenance palette, BOSK is the new go-to place. When you want an outstanding meal plus conversation this is the perfect room. When you want service that is human and refined, but not pretentious or pompous (read haughty) this is your place. When you want excellent food that can be morphed to satisfy your desires, this is the place."

"Service was very good we went on a rainy day and had to use umbrellas dissapointed thst entrance does not have a canopy We work downtown and does not have access to the path so clients have to go outside The sides of the hotel have protection or awnings but not the entrance"

"Amazing food and excellent service!! I was expecting a little more of a wow factor from the hotel/restaurant apperance itself. It is Shangri-La afterall. The ones in Asia are opulent and luxurious. Overall, the experience was still great!"

"Now that BOSK is open at 5.30 pm, it is ideal for a pre Four Seasons Centre dinner. The service is very friendly and efficient. The food can be a bit over constructed but is generally very fine. Their Lobster Gnocchi appetizer for example is a treat."

"I took an important client to Bosk, knowingly aware that it would replicate the extraordinary reputation of the hotel, the Shangri-la where its located, and it did not disappoint. The service was excellent, the food was lavishly served and prepared however, bacause of the structure of the room, it was a bit difficult to hear at times. That wouldn't hold me back from another visit in the near future and this restaurant has been added to my favourite list!"

"Fairly cozy inside; would have been great to have been out on the patio, although, given the snow and cold, we were happy to have been inside. It should be a great patio in warmer weather, with a view of University Avenue, the Opera House and Osgoode Hall."

"Service was somewhat slow and erratic, though our server was cheerful, pleasant and knowledgable. Portions are small, appertizers in particular but the food was aromatic, tasty and beautifully presented which is as important to me as the food itself. This is an excellent kitchen with a commendable chef.
At some point in the evening I commented on the beautiful chop sticks, and was then given a set (it was my birthday, so an unexpected bonus). Thank you.
The cheese plate btw was divine."

"From when we arrived and saw the decor and heard the bad background music to when we left we were under whelmed - it actually became funny for my husband and I having a Valentine's lunch - that's how bad it was. The officy windows need a chic modern window treatment of some kind, attention needs to be paid to what music they are playing, seeing the waitstaff kiosk is not great, the Bosk website said the food was to have Asian influence but didn't, the food was just ok and was too beige on the plate. The waitstaff were definitely quite nice though. Sorry to not tell you better."

"Was there on Valentines night......tasting menu with wine selections with each course. The food was reasonable at best and we had to consistently wait for the wine to come after the food had long since been presented. Valentines is always a rip off but I expected a better experience given the price and location."
