"We had a most excellent evening. Our reservation was for 7 pm. We were early and sat at the bar. Ivan had some new signature drinks that we tried. Both were delicious. Our table was outside with a perfect view of the beach and up coming sunset. Our waiter was very knowledgeable and friendly. Our meal was excellent. I had the branzini, an absolutely delicious fish. My husband had the short ribs, also perfect. The chocolate mousse was great too. We went back the next night for another round of Ivan's drinks-different ones but also delicious. We had pasta dishes that were great. The sunset views are spectacular. I highly recommend this restaurant."

"We went for my wife's birthday with our best friends and our 2 kids. The service was phenomenal, the atmosphere wonderful, and the food divine. They were so warm and caring and made our night even more special. The food presentation was exquisite. Our only complaint was the 2 girls wanted to share a Caesar Salad without the crab and we were charged $13 for each salad (more than the one with the crab). That was the only thing that put a bad taste in our mouths especially after having such an incredible night."

"Dinner was delicious, presentation was beautiful. However, twice, I ordered a Kir and twice I was brought a Kir Royale with Champagne. I know the difference in price probably only amounted to pennies, but the second time I emphasized Kir, not with Champagne. I did not send the drinks back, not wanting to be wasteful, but this was a small hiccup on an otherwise perfect meal. Also, at a restaurant of this caliber, I do think charging for a second basket of bread is rather "common.""

"We enjoyed the every course and intend to return before the scheduled menu change as we liked what we had so much. Chef Giuliano was on his game in spite of serving a gourmet meal to an over-the-top wedding with all the trimmings that took over part of the terrace overlooking the gulf. Definitely the place to go for either an elegant dinner in the beautiful and serene formal dining room, or on the terrance watching the sun set on the Gulf of Mexico. Resort casual dress is the rule either venue. Free valet parking, but you tip the valet, of course."

"My wife and I went to Sale e Pepe to celebrate our 30th anniversary. The ambience, food, and service were all outstanding. The only unpleasant surprise was that the check came with an 18% gratuity automatically added; the waitperson hadn't mentioned it. Without checking, I added a 20% tip on the total. Fortunately, my wife commented that the bill seemed awfully high; as a result, I tore up the initial credit-card receipt and asked for another, on which I let the 18% gratuity stand.
It is, of course, not uncommon for a restaurant to add a gratuity on large parties, typically 8 or more. I have not encountered it on a small party of two."

"We enjoyed a delicious authentic Italian meal with good service and a helpful waiter. We dined here as a treat for the final night of our holiday after reading great reviews and are very glad we did. My two daughters (8 and 6) both commented that it was the 'best pasta sauce they had ever had' and the crayon/activity menu provided was a welcoming touch for children. I would certainly recommend this restaurant and did not find the pricing over inflated."

"This is the first time we have been to Sale e Pepe on Marco! We had a drink on the terrace before dinner to view the sunset! We were then promptly seated at 7:30. We decided to skip the appetizers and simply go for the the main course! I ordered the braised ribs which were to die for. The meat was tender and succulent. I was disappointed in the presentation however, as the ribs sat on approximately 1 teaspoon of mashed potatoes! My husband had stuffed Rigatoni with eggplant which was also very good! If you want to have a delicious meal on the beach, dine at Sale e Pepe, u will not be disappointed!!"

"This was our second year attending the Easter Sunday Brunch. While we loved the ambiance, we found the service to be fair. We often had to look for the wait staff to request coffee,and clear our plates as this was a buffet meal. My wife actually cleared our plates and those of our guests and handed them to a wait staff person. Additionally, I found the meat selection to be very disappointing. The lamb and beef were overcooked,tasteless, and tough."

"We have dined just about everywhere on Marco Island, and this place by far exceeds all others. The wait staff is highly trained, and offer impeccable service. The food is amazing, and the menu offers just enough selections. The wine list has a nice selection of wines for afficionados. There is some great classic Italian pastas. We enjoyed the fresh fish selection served on the bone. The squash ravioli with browned butter, almond, and maple drizzle was one of the best dished I have had. The salad Misticanza is also very tasty. There is valet parking, and they take reservations. Sunset is the time to be there as it is an occasion. Most everyone goes out to the deck and watch it sizzle into the ocean. This is a very classy place."

"Amazing.. just Amazing. Everything about our evening was perfect. The restaurant staff was helpful, courteous and very professional. You can tell a lot goes into the service staff's training. They are there when you need them but not obtrusive. The food was fabulous and the view outstanding. The restaurant is over looking the ocean and has a gorgeous sunset. I would rate this as one of my top restaurants in the United States.

"A great find for someone who had never been to Marco Island before. We ended up going twice while we were there. Fabulous pasta and don't miss the proscuito/mozzarella appetizer. Would like to see a bit more seafood on the menu, but then there are other restaurants in Marco for that!"

"Service was only rated as "fair" because it took for ever to get our meal, we waited an hour between our salad and our meal - the people next to us that were seated at the same time were done before we finished our salad. Not sure what happened in the kitchen. Our waiter was excellent and a really nice guy, we will give it another try!"

"Sale e Pepe's is a beautiful restaurant on Marco Island. I reserved a table for eight women for a birthday luncheon and the staff was extremely helpful. The table looked lovely and the server, Stephen, couldn't have been more friendly and efficient. Even the Food and Beverage Manager stopped by our table to see if we were all comfortable. Everyone in the party was pleased with their food and we couldn't have had a more pleasant lunch. I have never written a review before, but am very pleased to say, "Thank you Sale e Pepe and OpenTable.""
