"Our experience started off excellent. Initially service was attentive and quick. We ordered a filet medium well and filet oscar. It took an hour to receive our food as we watched others come and go. When food arrived it was very well done. At a price of about $300 for two including a few glasses of wine we over payed for slow service and overcooked food. We will do not plan on returning."

"The food was good, service was excellent! My tomato, mozzarella & onion salad was awesome - fresh made cheese! His Caesar salad was "excellent." The steaks were good, though my friend thought the sirloin was a bit on the thin side. Neither of us cared for the sauteed mushrooms, and the asparagus was not noteworthy. The mashed potatoes were quite good. We both had crab Bearnaise on our steaks. It was okay, I would not order it again - expensive and I did not think it really added anything to the steak. My cappuccino was delightful and the desserts were large enough to share.
I would eat there again."

"The food, as always, was excellent. The filet mignon was cooked to perfection whether ordered medium rare, well done or rare and the strip steak was nothing more than mouth watering. A little dissappointed in our waiter for not giving explicit explanations about the sides we ordered, telling us that they were served family style, leading us to believe that it would be enough for the table of three, when in fact it was really a single size portion. Also very dissappointed that the array of tiny sweets was brought to our table as it was on our last visit. All in all though, I will certainly visit Roberts again on my next visit to the Taj Mahal."

"You will not find a better quality steakhouse (or restaurant) in Atlantic City or anywhere else (unless, of course, you go to one of Robert's 2 NYC locations). I have been coming to AC since 1978 and I regularly dine at NYC's finest restaurants. My GF and I dined at Robert's on two consecutive nights while staying at the Taj Mahal and there is nothing on their menu which can be described as anything less than spectacular ("spectacular" even seems to be an understatement). We have now been there four "unforgettable" times and have sampled their incredible Rib Eye, Filet Mignon, Lamb, Lobster Tail, Seared Sea Scallops, Wild Mushroom Risotto, Crab Cakes & East/West Coast Oysters & all of their sauces are truly "divine". We love Robert's!!!!"

"Filets were very good also the olive rolls are great. Still don't like that no salt and pepper is available on the tables. If you ask for salt you get a small bowl with huge chunks of salt that can't be distributed on your meal in a lite manner. We now bring our own salt."

"Service was slow, unresponsive, and lacking attention. Had to find someone to refill our water glasses on numerous occations, no one followed through if our food (steaks) was right temperature, taste, or cooked to our liking. Had to find someone to bring ground pepper to the table. No refill on bread (even thou I didn't want any) if would have been nice if someone would have asked. Wait service standing in a corner (back wall) talking to each other. Not a good restaurant considering the cost of food at this place. I will not visit again."

"We went to Robert's during Restaurant Week to try it out. Many times during these events the staff is not at their best because they figure the tips will be smaller due to the bill being less. Not so at Robert's. The staff was exceptional, very informed and ready to help in any way. No one went past the table without checking to see if we needed anything. Our waiter was extremely attentive. The place wasn't very busy but it was 9pm on a weeknight. The atmosphere is very nice, understated yet modern. The food itself was delicious. I rarely order steak because I like it cooked well but even with that the steak was juicy, tender and seasoned perfectly. They have steak sauces but the meat was so good you really don't need it."

"We waited 45 minutes for our table from our reservation time and were offered a poor table by the door at that point-which I refused. The wait service was not very attentive and they forgot my side order. They did not inquire whether our steak was cooked to our liking,never checked to see if we needed anything else and never offer apology for forgetting our food. I would not be inclined to go back."

"I ordered the Rib Eye, meduim rare, but turned out to be much more well done than I asked for. The waiter took it back immediately...actually encouraged me to send it back. I was reluctant at first beause even though it was "over cooked" it was still great. But when they brought out another cooked at medium rare, I was shocked at how much better the steak turned out to be. Seriously, melt in your mouth kind of perfection. In addition to them correcting the steak quickly, they gave us desert and after dinner drinks on the house. These guys do everything right. The Catena Alta Malbec went perferct with the steak."

"I've had steak dinners all over the globe and can tell you unequivocally that Robert's served me one of the best steaks I've ever had the pleasure to enjoy. The wait staff is extremely well trained and interact well with the clientele. The ambiance, considering the dining room is only about 100' from a casino floor, is very good. The only negative comment I have is they've jammed too many tables into the room. If you get a booth you can have a quiet conversation with your dining partner(s) but don't see that as possible with a table on the dining room floor. Bottom line is the meal and the dining experience were well worth the price."

"Third visit in as many months and once again everything was exceptional. Chef Will knows how to put a meal together and the staff doesn't miss a thing. I usually have the Rib-Eye but this time the Sea Bass sounded like a good choice and it did not disappoint. Good wine recommendation from the staff and dessert suggestions helped to, once again, keep me coming back to Robert's"

"Had a waiter then he went home was given a 2nd waiter slow in getting check had to many tables to serve.Steak was over done but still tasty. Very expensive used comp dollars but they took 2 for 1 with no sign to let customer's know.Would only go back if they go 1for1 with comps."

our server was just ok, no real personality.
the server couldn't find were the bus boy had put our water?
my steak was good, my boyfriends steak was med rare he asked for med well.
we sent it back and it came back within 1 min still to rare.
paid check gave server great tip, didn't even come back to say thank you or to say have good night.
disappointed:(
i'm a local restaurant manager myself."

"Although we had reservations for 8PM and had to wait 30 minutes to be seated I would have to rate them an 8! Our first glass of wine was on the house for the wait so that was nice of them. I think Ruth Chris' steaks are much better, but my husband disagrees! We would probably go back in the future."
