Misto Bistro
Located in Carrollton, just a short drive from the tollway. In the past year Misto Bistro was voted "Best New American Cuisine" in DFW, and the shrimp and grits was chosen as Top 10 Best Menu items for 2011.
We feature crepes, prime rib, lamb shanks, excellent salads, and the smoked meat platter you must try.
On Tuesday and Wednesday night Executive Chef Janet Jeffords Parr creates fun and unique prix fixe specials featuring cuisines from around the world with her unique twist. You also need to stop by on "Taco Thursday" with five gourmet tacos to choose from. The regular menu is also available.
Come in early and enjoy happy hour Tuesday through Saturday, 4 to 7, and sit at our 200-year-old Parisian bar, and enjoy a roasted beet salad or an order of our fried green tomatoes.

"The food used to be good and they used to pour good drinks. They have gone downhill. The beet salad was still excellent. The cocktail was shorted and the cod suffered from freezer burn."

"WE have never had a bad meal at Misto Bistro, never had any bad experience. But this was our least enjoyable experience there in that, while the service wasn't bad, it wasn't the usual outstanding. The waiter couldn't answer questions about the menu, was hard to understand, and service was a bit slow. I suspect he was new and should improve, but he made our evening less favorable than normal."

"This restaurant was a delight to find in my neighborhood Carrollton. The outside is unassuming as it's in a shopping complex of buildinga. Once you step inside, you realize you're in a high class establishment with a casual feel. We were sat in a raised wood portion of the restaurant. The space is very tight, but there was still enough privacy where I didn't hear too much of the next table's conversation.
The food was amazing. They had the best bread I've tasted in a long time. The dinner was served in courses, with just the right amount. I was very full by the time dessert came. I'll definitely be back."

"Wonderful little spot for an evening out with my wife, the food here is consistently good, the owners are very imaginative with special occasion menus, service staff is quite attentive and very accommodating, this little restaurant has quickly become our favorite place for dining out!!"

"We went here for Valentines and it was fantastic. The service was good, the owners are personable, the food was delicious and the prices are very reasonable. This is a neighborhood bistro that will stay on our list of frequent visits."

"The food is consistently very good. Wine list is nothing to "write home about", but there are certainly some good wines on the list at reasonable prices. Todd has waited on us each time and is he great every time. My biggest complaint is that it is too bright for evening dining. Every time we are there we ask them to dim the lights - which they do - a little. I just don't understand why they insist on keeping the lights so bright at night (after 8:00 p.m.)."

"We live in North Dallas, but after reading the reviews on Open Table we decided to head out to North Carrollton and check this restaurant out. We had a great time, the food was great and the owners were there to greet and check on you. The red fish was outstanding as was the avocado soup. We will go back often."
