"My wife and I were celebrating Mother's Day and TQLA was a nice surprise. I am not much for Mexican food, but really enjoyed the meal (Fajitas) and the prices are reasonable, even for a limited budget like ours. The staff were friendly and attentive. We were not made to feel rushed, and the appetizer and meals were delivered to the table at the perfect times. Although there was some activity at the bar, we were not bothered by noise or the TVs. Nice place and a good experience."

"When Tqla first opened I thought it was only a bar. One day I rode by and was the Southwest Kitchen sign on the side of the building and told my husband we should try it. We have been there about four times. Each time it was great. Service is excellent and food is delicious. I had the fajitas two times. you get enough for lunch for the next day. We have celebrated two birthdays there and each time we are presented with a birthday dessert. Great service."

"Appetizers were amateurish, entrees were disappointing, highlight of the meal was the house salad. Our party of 4, ordered 2 appetizers, 4 entrees, and 8 drinks over the course of 75 minutes between 6:30 and 7:45 and to our surprise presented with our check even though we had no intentions of leaving. Maybe the waitress was trying to help us?"

"I was surprised at the mostly positive reviews I read. However, I would rate the overall experience as "fair" only. When we arrived hostess said they had not received our reservation from open table despite the fact I received a conformation. They had a table anyway since the place was completely open (Sunday night). Waiter was friendly and attentive but food was "average" at best. We paid almost $9.00 for the smallest amount of guacamole I have ever been served. Finally we sat outside on the patio and the music was so loud our table of 5 could hardly hear one another. Might be a place for drinks with friends and if you like loud pop music."

"Our group of nine women goes out monthly and likes to try new local spots. TQLA had good food, and our waiter was nice, but this wasn't the place for us. Staffing was concentrated on the bar, which was very busy and very noisy. As a result, service was slow (after our drink order went in, we had quite a wait to get them), and we found it difficult to talk to anyone who wasn't close by.
The Happy Hour specials were terrific, and each of us enjoyed her meal, so I'd definitely come back again--just not with a group or someone who can't take noise."

"The snacks served upon being seated were yummy, the blood orange mimosas were delightful. However the entree sandwich I ordered was tasteless and dry. Perhaps it is not easy for a southwestern restaurant to design a brunch menu. The waiter even warned us off a couple menu items...advice we heeded. However, what we did choose was not memorable."

"Had a party of 12 here for my husbands birthday on a Saturday evening. We had never been here before and wanted to try it out... our table was ready when we arrived, the chips and salsa were awesome and the food was great! Can't beat that. We felt it was slightly pricey (for Mexican food) but not too bad for a special occasion. We had an overall great time!"

"Your Chips and Salsas are what we fell in love with!!!! The warm red salsa and creamy green - just outstanding!!! "We ate at Tqla's for lunch/dinner and celebrated my husband's and daughter-in-law's birthday. The service was excellent even when we moved from the outside to the inside. They brought birthday desserts for those celebrating their birthday.I had the wedge salad and I wasn't as thrilled about it as other food I have had here. The fajitas are awesome."

"We loved the Happy Hour on Friday night. It was a good excuse to try the tequila shots and the special marguarita. Food was great. I had the veggie enchilada, the veggies were crisp and just right. "We have been there twice in the last 2 weeks. Each time we have had the same appetizers: Fried Calamari with Jalapeños and Onions and Oysters in Chorizo sauce. They were both so good, we had to have them again. We had Carne Asada Tacos and Green Chili Cheeseburger for our meal. Both entrees were delicious. I can't wait to try more menus items. The Happy Hour prices are great as well. They have several tequilas on tap chilled to 5 degrees."

"Wonderful service. The manager came to our table to apologize that the gluten free preparation of our meal was taking longer than planned due to a mistake and bought us each a cocktail. After it was all said and done our meal was not what we would consider delayed. Incredible service."

"Most liked their food , I wasn't that thrilled with the grilled fish taco's. Didn't like the soft tortilla's & fish ok but could was too spicy - a nice chipotle sauce would make it better or maybe more sauce.
The wine was wonderful - house wine merlot & cabernet - great price too.
The tortilla chips with salsa also worth the trip - too good!!!"

"The Food was marginal at best. I had the pumpkin seed salmon, and it didn't have any taste whatsoever. The mashed potatoes under tasted and looked like they came out of a box. The fried green tomatoes were soggy. The price of $17 was not worthy of this dish at all. My husband's shrimp were over done and rubbery."

"We were seated as soon as we arrived and given a booth as requested. Our server was very friendly and prompt, but we had the impression that he was fairly new. It did take a very long time for the drinks to arrive. We ordered table side guacamole that was flavorless. We salted it. The other appetizers were very good. Our meals were fine. The sangria by the glass is very tasty. This was our third trip to TQLA and we will return."
