"We had dinner reservations for 8:30 and one hostess told us they would seat us at the next available table for four. At 8:50 when they finally had three tables for four, they arranged them into two tables of six and seated two other parties. We left and went to Don Coqui's and had a delicious meal with excellent service. The only good thing about Gaucho Grill were the gentlemen parking the cars. They were very professional and nice."

"Enjoyed our dinner at Gaucho Grill. We liked the Argentinian art-work and the overall decor. It's a very large restaurant and there were a number of large groups. As a results, soom rooms were very noisy. We were glad to be in a quieter room at the back. Interesting diverse menu, a nice change from many of the local restaurants. We recommend both the hanger steak and the stuffed lobster tail."

"Four of us went for dinner. Two of us had the fish special, Branzino. One dish was moist and had plenty of sauce. Mine had no sauce and the accompanying mussels and clams were dried out.
The empanadas appetizer came accompanied by mashed potatoes. Why? It is a combination of starch

"Had lunch here once before and I enjoyed it more during the day when it was less noisy/crowded. The octopus appetizer continues to be first rate and they make a mean Mojito. This time I had the Argentinian Churrasco which was good -- but nothing special. The side order of spinach in garlic and oil, though, was well prepared! They all serve a warm bread with rosemary which is first rate."

"Food was bad to mediocre. Skirts steaks were cooked properly, but under-seasoned. The real crime was the chimichurri, which is usually the reason to order this dish. Only a small amount was provided, which was fine since it was terrible. I make a far better one at home, with little effort. The mashed potatoes were cold and the cream spinach was watery. A better empanada can be obtained from a lunch truck. The tiramisu was a fraud - a strange and unappealing concoction that seemed like a Tres Leches cake with a little coffee added. Adding insult to indigestion, out waiter was confused and uninformed about the dishes. Also was incapable of serving all 4 of our party at once, someone was left waiting each course."

"Had a spectacular dinner last night. When you walk in you see beautiful tables with roses across from a long bar. When you walk to the back there is a a large room that has been detailed from the upholstered tables to the fur walls. There are white leather booths that look gorgeous, not to mention the crystal chandeliers. The food was outstanding, and the waiter was very attentive. The GM often checked on our service throughout the night. Since it was our first time there they gave us a complimentary cold antipasti that was phenomenal. This place has it going on in all the right ways. This is a must go, for any occasion."

"I have never been to a restaurant that is so many things at once - the restaurant is energetic, extremely busy, romantic, great ambiance wether for a group or a romantic couple. Great choices on the menu, and I am Argentine born and all I can say, is that when I cannot have my mother's empanadas I can go to Gaucho Grill - very genuine Argentine food. Loved the dessert - dulce de leche crepes with vanilla ice cream! the different ceviche were outstanding, and the service was great! Incidently this was my third visit to the restaurant, and I will have many more!!"

"Had reservations at 845 PM on Sat Night. Was really busy and we got seated at about 915. Waiter was very courteous and polite - through the evening. We got the Tilapia ceviche as an app, Chimichurri steak and the Mendozio steak - everything was top notch and flavors were bold and complex. Excellent experience! The only missed step was that the two sides we ordered seemed to have been missed (place was PACKED). The waiter came by and apologized and didn't charge us for one of the sides (that only showed up as we were wrapping up our entrees) - further he brought us a platter of deserts on the house (tres leches cake, vanilla ice cream and a flourless chocolate mousse cake). Great save by the waiter.
Will definitely be back here!"

"In general the food was good; however, my salad (arugula with avocado and shrimp) had shrimp that were completely flavorless, like defrosted frozen shrimp. The meat dishes were all good. The dining rooms are very attractive, and there are tables that accommodate large groups. We were worried that it would be extremely noisy but it wasn't bad, due to the upholstery, curtains, etc. absorbing a lot of the noise. Fun decor. Friendly and helpful service but at times the staff seemed overwhelmed, as several large parties came in at the same time. That being said, they did not rush us out, which was nice."

"I loved the food but not the layout of the place. I could hear the couples conversation next to me and I didn't like that. Also, when I sat I had to move the table out and go sideways not to interrupt the people next to us. (and I'm not a big person) Tables are way too close together.
The gentleman who took care of us was only talking to my husband and not me when he was telling us the specials. I found that rude."

"Great place all around. Took my wife there for her birthday with my family on a mid-week night. We were made to feel welcome and comfortable like regulars from the moment we walked in. Service was terrific, food was even better. Waiter helped me pick a lovely Argentine cabernet which was much more reasonably priced than the California cabs I was looking at, The wine was outstanding! All of our of our food was delicious and the portions were robust. I went there expecting to enjoy a steak, but ended up choosing the seafood paella. Score! It was delicious. We will be back with friends and family."

"This was my second visit to Gaucho Grill. My first visit in September was GREAT. This time we had decent food but a terrible experience with our bill and our waiter. Initially forgetful, left our salad completely off of our order and in the end argued with us about an incorrect bill. I am still in the process of getting this resolved completely. Unfortunately will not go back unless they want to make it up to me somehow."

"The food was delicious and the service was great! My only complaint was that the tables were a little too close together so we could easily hear the conversations on either side of us. Also, it is a bit loud so I'd go somewhere else for a quiet romantic dinner. Otherwise, a lively place with great food & service."

"My cousin and I went with our husbands and had a great time. Everything was delicious...from our appetizers to our desserts. We ordered chorizo and figs and also pulpo a la brasa...both exquisite. The parrillada done to perfection. My husband loved his skirt steak. Our desserts just hit the spot...crepes and also the mixed berries. The only downer was the loudness in the dining room. We could not hear ourselves think. So, we asked to go back to the booth were we had cocktails...there, we had a little more privacy and we could hear the music as well!!!"

"Great food, great service, great place!
I've been here for work meetings, friend outings and family birthdays and it adapts to all occasions.
Haven't tried many of their cocktails, but I did try their sangria and it was awesome! For my father's birthday they actually came out to sing for him and gave him a delicious slice of cake on a very well decorated platter with "Happy Birthday" written with chocolate sauce. Really special."

"My wide and I had wanted to go to this place since it opened. The inside is surprising smaller than I thought...the exterior gives you the impression that its much larger than it is.
The hostess looked like she couldn't wait to leave the place...didn't quite set the tone we were looking for in a place we were going to for the first time.
The drink menu was ok. Unfortunately, what appeared to be a bright spot in the menu, their non-alcoholic fruit juices, were all sold out...at 7:30pm on a Monday...ARE YOU KIDDING ME??? There had to be almost 10 different drinks listed..BOOO
The food was the typical Mexican fare. Nothing spectacular...there's so much to choose from elsewhere."

"I went on a friday for restaurant week and they did not have the restaurant week menu. Very upset because it should have been noted with a star in the paper that they do NOT accept Friday and Saturdays during thr restaurant week. The caesar salad was very fresh however, the dressing tasted like mustard not the real caesar dressing. Main course was very good as well as the dessert.
Being a local restaurant I think they should have offered our dessert just for being there to try them and they couldn't give us the menu for restaurant week. That would have been the right thing to do."
