"The restaurant was so busy and there was not enought staff ... two of the entrees arrived late one other was cold. Our glasses stayed empty for some time before refills were offered. It is usually good food and decent service, but the crowd was not handled well."

"We were excited to go to the Publick House but didn't have a great experience. It took our server quite a while to come to our table, and then a good deal of time to come back with drinks. Our appetizer came out quickly which was good, but we ate it all before the server came back for our food order. We had to ask for both a cocktail menu and a pizza menu. We finally ordered, dinner and drinks. My drink took about 20 minutes to come out, and at that time I had no water or anything to drink. My dinner came out before my husband's and I was completely done eating before he even got his. One of our meals was taken off of the bill, but it was not quite the date night we had looked forward to."

"Nice location, ample parking, warm family environment. The menu is limited but has good quality and value dishes. Serving size is large!
The Arugula salad is exceptional,ribs are great, but the medium rare burger was bland and flavorless and got sent back. The staff were very nice about it and offered a replacement and deserts or drinks on the house.
Definitely worth a return visit. Hoping they have improved on the burger by then!"

"It was good to try . Whether or not I would go there again because of the distance is yet to be decided. The food was good . Considering we both had hamburgers & salad I thought the bill was high .The service was good , but lax in the beginning & rushed towards the end . I was never asked if I wanted dessert. When I still had my dinner in front of me I was told the bill was coming .
Its very noisy , but that was expected .

"Nice band by the bar but too loud to hold conversations. The food was excellent and very rich. However, the service was terrible. Although our main waitress was nice, we had another 4 servers come out to deliver us food and they were all for different tables."

"The Crab cake was a homerun - excellent flavor and presentation. I ordered the pork ribs (full rack) and it came in 2 dishes - ribs and sides. The plate with the ribs had just ... well ribs. From a presentation stand point, blah. Taste wise, the mashed potatoes was tasty but broccoli undercooked, and ribs over-sauced (too heavy). Perhaps serve the sauce on the side? Also no finger bowl served so you have to eat ribs with knife and fork unless you ask for a finger bowl. My wife ordered the salmon with mashed potatoes, and the serving was small but the salmon was cooked well. The tiramisu was great but home made gelato tasted like supermarket ice-cream. Service was great but given the price everything on the menu needs to be perfected."

"We enjoyed our V-Day dinner here. We were welcomed warmly, and seated right away. We were seated in a nice cozy room that faced the main street. We decided to get the 6 course fixed menu that was a v-day special. It included squash soup, a delicious salad, a crab cake appy (really good, very meaty, not too much breadcrumbs), sorbet palate cleaner (which we never received, but didn't mention), filet &lobster tail (steak excellent, lobster got some of the sauce from Filet on it, would be good w/out) champagne, and chocolate covered strawberries (very yummy, but small portion on big on plate!). Over things were great, reasonable $ price, only issues were varying lengths of time between courses (just right/too quick/way too slow) & no sorbet"

"We love the Publick House. We go there especially when Dr. Brian's Band plays as they are great fun and the Bar scene when they play is very spirited with friends and families. The Publick house got caught on this particular Saturday night and had trouble coping with the large crowd. Wait service was very slow, however the waiters were very professional and apologetic as well as telling you in advance that they would be slow because of the crowd. The food was good for what we ordered,The Ribs were good but not enough sauce and it was impossible to get anyone's attention for more. Burgers were great and cooked perfectly and the salads were terrific. Be sure to catch Dr. Brian's Band for a fun night The Publick House is a treat anytime."
