Atlanta's newest contemporary upscale taqueria and first tequila bar. From artisanal to ultra-premium, we have a tequila suitable for the most demanding of palates.
"Wow! This place beats every Mexican restaurant I've ever been to in Atlanta. I'm confident to bring anyone here that I'd like to impress. The atmosphere is always chilled and relaxed, the drinks are always on point because they use fresh ingredients and no drink mix and the food... The food is cooked to perfection. Zapata just makes me happy!"

"We've been to this restaurant several times and am amazed that specialty dishes are so outstanding. The Molcajetes are so unique and delicious. The Chicken Relleno is one of the best dishes on the menu with the Crepas Cholula right behind it. While the margaritas are excellent, they are a bit over-priced for the small size served with too much ice. We've had one male server a few times who was excellent but in general most of the other servers are sub-standard. They are not very attentive and more go through the motions as opposed to enjoying serving. Best to sit near the front of the restaurant for the full experience."

"Our dinner was somewhat mixed. The entree that one of us got was REALLY excellent. The tacos though were very disappointing little more than the soft tortillas and some meat with a little sauce thrown on it and nothing else. I've been here several times with others and any of the entree specialties were very goods - tacos (despite the name of the place) not so much."

"Glad i got the reservation via open table since it was packed. the food presentation was certainly good, but the different dishes my wife and i ordered left us both queasy the next day. The prices were very high for the food and drinks. a small margarita on the rocks that was filled with ice was $9. for the second one, i asked for less ice and actually got more. had we not had a coupon, the cost with tip, 2 waters, 2 margaritas, one appetizer and 2 entrees would have been $100 for 2 people. this is too much for this quality/type of food and service; better options nearby. we had a tough time getting the attention of our server once the food arrived. And the appetizer and entrees arrived together. not ideal. will not return."

"We had quite the rowdy Bridal Shower. It was a party of about 17 with 6 being kids. One child had Autism and was having a rough day. They really catered to us very well and even though I am sure they were at their brim with us, they were great. Would come again with my husband"
