The newest Chef Geoff's restaurant is the go-to destination on the Pike. Located across from Montrose Crossing, Chef Geoff's Rockville is the perfect spot for a business lunch or family dinner in a friendly and energetic atmosphere. Only minutes from the Strathmore, we're the perfect location for pre-theater dining. A three course Sunset Special is offered daily from 4:30-6 pm for $19.95. Need a break from work? There is no better place than our newly renovated bar for all-day happy hour Monday and Tuesday. Or join us for our ever-growing Bacon Bar on Wednesday and Thursday where we truly believe bacon goes great with everything. Have a case of the Mondays? "i found so many appetizers that appealed to me that i barely glanced at the entrees. I chose 2 appetizers for my meal and still ended up taking home leftovers! the beet-filled ravioli were delicious and the duck and scallion pancakes with pickled vegies was excellent. crusty, warm rolls with a fabulous whipped butter on the side and at least 2 dozen beers on tap. dee-lish! excellent service. lost a point in ambience since the restaurant was large and busy and we had the table next to the kitcheno n the pathway to the restrooms. not ideal. the noise, while not at all out of control, was not conducive to romance from our vantage point. i'm sure there are better tables- you might want to be specific when you reserve! reasonably priced."

"This was our second time in Chef Geoff's and we love the relaxed feel of this place. I definitely would return to try more dishes. We loved the Sunset Special for 3 courses. The table was split on -- my 3course dinner and my husnand's dish fish stew. The Cauliflower bisque was good, the trout was great and to finish, the delicious dessert flourless Chocolate Cake with cherry coulis and pistachio ice cream. My husband order Fisherman’s Stew with shrimp, mussels, rockfish, chorizo, smoked paprika broth, garlic toast -- was a bit too salty. Both loved the dessert flourless chocolate cake. Service was well-timed and friendly, out cocktails were amazing. Also to mention that the service was fast to our pleasant surprise."

"Took my wife to Chef Geoff's Rockville for her birthday. Services started out a little slow but got better as the night went on. Very nice bar with numerous choices for beer and wine as well. Got the Gouda Risotto Balls as an appetizer which were very good. My wife enjoyed the New York Strip she ordered. I ordered the Crab and Shrimp Ravioli which was absolutely delicious. The only disappointing thing from our experience was finding out they only do the bacon bar on Tuesdays and Wednesdays (my wife's birthday was on Tuesday). Definitely will be back and will try to go on a Wednesday or Thursday for the bacon bar. My wife and I are intrigued by the bacon ice cream and want to try it."

"There were 6 of us for a birthday celebration. We got there at 6 for Happy Hour drinks and appetizers, before moving on to dinner. Everyone got something different from the menu and everyone liked what they got. Service was good, not overbearing. We asked for quiet table and got one. Very enjoyable experience."

"I had heard a lot of good things prior to visiting Chef Geoff's. I have no intention of eating here again. Our service was horrible. The food was subpar, although the gouda grits were very good and the drinks were strong. My husband's pork chop was very dry and we got the fried pickles that were difficult to eat. I was unimpressed and disappointed overall."

"First time at their Rockville location and we were as pleased with it as we have been with Lia's, the New Mexico Ave and downtown locations. The service was very good and the selection of food can please all palates. Prices were reasonable.

"The food was good as expected (especially the house-made soda, cocktails and desserts - I recommend the pineapple upside down cake!) but what really stood out was the service. We had a party of 6 to which 2 more people we added at the last minute. Did I mention that the two people were a 4 and 2 year old? Not exactly the customers an establishment might want during Saturday evening dinner service. To add to that confusion, most of our party was late so we ended up using the table for longer than expected. Despite all these complications, our server handled everything so graciously, being attentive and serving our large, crazy table, even engaging the cranky children. She, and Chef Geoff's were GREAT. A perfect experience, all around."

"Hosted a Business Lunch with a client on this occasion. Food was excellent and served expediantly, service was attentive but not intrusive. noise level was quiet enough to hear each other without speaking up but loud enough to not worry about eavesdropping into our conversation.
I really like what they did with the restaurant's decor. Having eaten at Houston's(the previous occupant) numerouse times, it was refreshing to see they went with bright and clean.
Well done... and I didn't get a speed camera ticket there or back."

"Service is always attentive & the menu varied. I didn't love my choice this time but it was nicely presented. I had the potato encrusted trout which I've had before. I liked it in the past. This time, I didn't think it was quite as good. The dessert donuts were yummy!"

"My first time at Chef Geoff's. I met up with a friend whose dined there before but not for brunch so it was our first brunch experience for the both of us. Surprisingly the place wasn't busy for a Sunday which was fine by me, better & faster service:-) The brunch menu was limited but offered really good choices. My friend and I ordered the exact same things; blood orange handmade soda and the croque madame. We were served a fruit plate and miniature muffins (corn bread and chocolate) before hand. These came as standard with entrees. Everything turned out excellent - from food quality & quantity to service. We'll definitely be going back to try other items on the menu."

"This is undoubtedly the best restaurant in this area. We had a party of 5, The table we were seated at was round and had plenty of eating space for each person. The server was extremely helpful and very efficient. 4 of us had the Sunset Specials (which is more than enough quality food for everyone). One of us had the tuna dish a la carte which she was not crazy about. (That's the reason we gave the food rating a 4 instead of a 5.) The red wine was very good but there was not too much in a $9 glass. We're sorry they took the salmon off of the Sunset Special. We can see why people keep coming back here. It was packed Satrurday evening but you didn't feel crowded at all."

"Service was a slow and was not what we are used to when dining at Lia's or Cheff Geoff's at New Mexico Ave. My main dish took about 20 minnutes to come out and my guest's dinner came out in 10 minutes. The onions in my salad did not go with the dish."

"Chef Geoff's is a solid addition to the dining scene in Rockville. The space is airy, open and light; dark wood from the previous restaurants have been repainted white, and the front of the restaurant is all big windows. The service was responsive and helpful, especially since we had an elderly person in our party. The food was solid and ample but not great. Rice balls were beautiful but bland, as was the mushroom ravioli; both would have benefitted from better seasonings. Seafood was done well, as were burgers.
We might return to Chef Geoff's, but it's not a stand out."

"A group of us went for a multiple birthday celebration. The food was delicious! The atmosphere was nice and not to loud. We all ordered different items from the menu and they were all good. Our food selections came out quickly and we were not rushed. Spent several hours at dinner. Our waiter was not as attentive as he should have been, but overall it was a great dinner. I would definitely go again."

"I took my girlfriend for dinner on the way to Dulles trying for a nice dinner experience before she left the country for 2 weeks.
The delays between being seated, ordering drinks, and receiving our orders were very lengthy. The lamb samosas appetizer was extremely greasy and tasted more like old mutton to me. My burger was cooked fine, but was flavorless overall. I had to douse it with A-1 to get any enjoyment from it. The best things we had were our cocktails which were very good. So go for drinks and skip the food."
