"My boyfriend and I thoroughly enjoyed our dining experience at Liv2Eat. All the staff we encountered were friendly and helpful. When booking ahead of time I sent a note through OpenTable and all my requests were accommodated. The food was delicious. We loved that the menu was small and focused. It was easy to make a decision on what to order. (especially for me being an indecisive person) My boyfriend ironically went to the same culinary school as the chef and it was easy to see the skill gained in college. The ambiance was great, minimal and not overpowering. I loved the window into the garden. Very peaceful.
We will absolutely return to your establishment and bring friends. Thanks for having us and making us feel welcome!"

"Beautiful Gem in Federal Hill. Food was 5 Star. Loved the large window that looked over the garden area. Although food choices were limited there was a variety for anyone. We shared the scallops and the beet side...scallop dish was perfection. My entree was the salmon and my friend had the house noodle dish....both were perfect!"

"We went on a Tuesday evening at 6:00 so it was a little quiet there. Three of us ordered different entries and everything was delicious. I ordered the steak which was wonderful, however, when I saw my husband's meal I took his instead. I knew he would enjoy the steak also. The salads were wonderful as well as the appetizer my husband ordered. Very reasonably priced, however, I was the only one drinking that evening. We would definitely return."

"Cute place, the back patio is really charming. Menu is very small but we enjoyed what we ordered. The risotto fritter app was Delish, My boyfriend loved his burger, and I ordered the pasta dish that was featured. Very buttery, added shrimp to it (without the shrimp it was just noodles and asparagus). I probably wouldn't get that again, and would def check out what is on the menu for the night before I go next time."

"We had a very pleasant mother's day experience - even with a 5 year old and a 2 year old, they even had kid friendly drink cups, and the dessert section was a smashing success.

"We have been twice. The food is excellent! Service is still lacking; our waitress was very nice and knowlegable, but took a long time to get the bill to us. The menu is not extensive by any means and could fool you into thinking negatively, but the meal portions are large and each time we have eaten there the food has been great!"

"Beautiful little restaurant in a converted rowhouse. Food was delicious, but service was incredibly slow. Yes, it was Mother's Day, but we waited 20+ minutes for our table despite a reservation, and the wait for food was really long, which shouldn't have been the case since it was a prix fixe menu, with 3 choices per course. If the service had been quicker, I would have given this a higher rating, but what should have been an hour/hour and 15 minute meal took two hours, which put a damper on the experience for me. I'm hoping that this is a result of it being a new place and that they'll get the kinks worked out because I really did enjoy the food, the setting and the staff all were very pleasant."

"Liv2Eat has been open a good while now. The early learning experiences are in their past and now every meal can be depended on to be excellent. The Chef clearly understands his ingredients and his Italian leanings are delivered to the food on the plate. It's great that the menu isn't too big, but it changes enough to be your regular go-to neighborhood place as well as that special "take visitors out to impress them" place. Bravo."

"Beware of making your reservation through Open Table. It first showed availability, and then everything after 5:30PM disappeared. I had to log-off and log back in again to complete the reservation. Liv2Eat has a farm to table concept with an upscale but comfortable vibe. The menu is limited, but decent variety & price points. We shared the tomato soup w/ piquillo peppers w/ mini grilled cheese on the side – yummy! The 8oz flank steak was prepared well with a nice flavor. The fresh baked cookies and milk were soft and tasty. The beer list is really good and diverse; the wine list not so much. As expected, the wine list was overpriced. In addition, there were very few options that paired with the menu. The wine list needs improvement."

"This is the first time I have ever walked out of a restaurant! A friend and I had a reservation but were seated after walk-ins who came in after us. They didn't put our order in after it was taken; I was told 10 minutes after I ordered that they were out of steak (ordered steak & eggs)only to see that someone at a nearby table who ordered after me got the last one. Everyone in our small, awkward room ordered after us and were served first. Then, our food was served to the wrong table. After ten minutes, the couple told us they had our food and the waitress took the plates from their table and put it on ours! We had no idea if they touched the food or not. Plus it was sitting out for at least 10 minutes. Worst restaurant in Baltimore."

"We were very happy with our meal. Amy, our server, was very nice. Offered a "taste" of a Woodchuck Belgian white. Our meals were yummy. The falafel was hard and dense, but still flavorful. "What a pleasant surprise! The food was wonderful. Six of us dined on a Saturday night. Three at the table ordered the salmon, one Amish chicken and the other two, Shrimp and Grits. We also ordered sugar snap peas (highly recommend) and potatoes as sides plus soups . The vegetables were fresh and lightly seasoned. Portions were very generous and even large enough to split. Nice selection of beer and wine...they do not have a liquor license (didn't matter to our group,though). We will definitely be back!"

"Liv2eat is a new restaurant in Baltimore. The servers seemed a little confused, but the place was busy. The menu is limited, but the pea salad, asparagus salad, scallop appetizer, and pasta entree that we ordered were all very good. The salads are a little pricey, but the ingredients used in making each were gourmet: figs, cashews, asparagus, peas, hazelnuts, etc. Also, at least 3 wines were not available from the restaurant's short wine list.

Seated 32 min. after reservation. Tables were vacant upon arrival. Small, narrow bench held 3. I stood for ½ hour. Status reports lacked.
Server was pleasant & fairly attentive. Ambiance ok, quiet, bar TV annoying @ times.
Bread was highlight of meal. Risotto fritters were bland & greasy at $9. Tomato soup tasted fine, was small. Even the ¼ grilled cheese (½ would have been nice) didn't warrant $8. Asparagus salad had little asparagus. Greens were fresh, dressing scant. Salad size overpriced at $12. The ~8 ounces of wet mashed potatoes tasted fine but not worth $5.
Cost far exceeded quality & quantity of the food. I don't see our returning to Liv2Eat."

"This space has seen several great restaurants in the recent past. Liv2eat is a good, but not great, addition. The scallops were perfectly cooked but there were only 2. The pea mix was delicious, but I didn't taste any mint. The crab cake sandwich was fine. In a city known for crab, I was hoping for more than fine. The roll and the fries were great. I really enjoyed the Wine. I would come back again only to fine outside which looks wonderful. In my opinion, this restaurant is good, but not amazing and a little pricey. Without a discount deal, I would not have eaten there."

"Place is cute and the food was very good. I loved the risotto balls and the mussels, and my friend was a fan of the crabcake sandwich!
Server was good, but he talked softly and we sometimes had a hard time hearing him. Only other thing to note is that the tables are pretty small - to the point that I ordered two appetizers as my meal, to be brought together and one was brought out"

"I was there on Sunday night so it was not crowded at all. The venue is really small so if you are going there on busy nights (Fri&Sat), it would be a totally different experience. Stuffies and scallops appetizers were really great, but I didn't care for the noodle entree. "home made pasta" was rather hard, not 'al dente" and the sauce was very salty. Other than that everything was great. I really liked the malbec."

that this is a fun place to go occasionally. Our server was attentive and good. I found the owner to be very accommodating and when they accidentally cancelled my OT reservation and were informed she called me back and reinstated it without a problem."

"An excellent first trip to liv2eat! The food couldn't have been better. Our server Rachel was very attentive but never intrusive. If on the menu when you go, don't miss the mussels in a white wine and garlic butter sauce. There is a secret ingredient in the sauce that makes them irresistible. We will definitely return!"

"Had a terrific dinner on a Saturday night at the peak dining time without a hitch. Our server was efficient and there when needed and food came out as it should have despite the place's small size and large crowd.
Every dish was well prepared, from a menu that appears not overly ambitious in its scope but offers some real gems. The lamb was excellent as was the spring vegetable medley which accompanied it and our other main course. Even the wine list was approachable and affordable, offering a variety of options to match the restaurant's excellent food."

"From the moment we walked in the whole restaurant seemed confused. The water glasses stayed empty for the majority of the time we were there, the staff argued with each other in front of customers, the bread was burned, the prices seemed very high for Baltimore, especially when for the same price you can eat at the city's best spots. Now I realize I am biased here but there was not much to eat as a vegetarian. This is not a complaint but more of an observation. When I asked the waitress if the chef could make a veg entree as a substitute she was real confused. As a result I ate tomato soup for dinner which was pretty lackluster tomato soup. I will say the meat entrees I saw did look quite appetizing especially the Amish chicken."

"I thought the food was pretty good. The risotto balls were delicious and hot. The shrimp pasta left me unsatisfied as it was somewhat bland. I prefer my food with a little more spice. (Also I overheard many customers complain about how the shrimp tails were left on the shrimp. This doesn't really bother me.) However, the menu changes periodically so this might be one of the dishes that they the restaurant has not quite mastered."

"Everyone working there was very friendly and polite. Only issues were feeling a bit jammed into a table (my husband literally had a view of a corner); a small child in the room we were eating (echo-y in there); and it took FOREVER getting our food... though others didn't have that problem. Once it arrived, it was delicious. And with as hard as it is to get good service in Baltimore, that was refreshing to see for once! Will likely try again - but ask to be seated in the front room."
