"We enjoyed everything about our mother's day brunch. The food was fresh and delicious, the service was enthusiastic, helpful and entertaining, and the restaurant itself was simply and tastefully decorated. The desserts stole the show. We each (five of us) had something different (tasted all, of course!) and each was wonderful. Don't miss pairing the dessert with their fabulous coffee."

"good start for this new french-styled bistro. the interior needs more intimacy to give a bistro feel to it but it has a lot of potential. want to go again and see how it sets up for dinner during the week."

"Pittsburgh does not have many options for French cuisine. Bridge Ten should be a destination for anyone that likes reasonably simple but well prepared French food (and good wine as well)."

"Restaurant was practically empty and very quiet. Service was great but food was only mediocre. Strangely dressed scruffy people wandering in and out of the kitchen. No toques or aprons. The menu looked promising. I had the blanquette de veau which was tender, perfectly cooked and seasoned but was covered in a thick gravy (not sauce, gravy) which had a sticky mouth-feel. Husbands steak was tasty but oversalted. Will probably not return."

"Bridge Ten was a disappointment in almost all dimensions. The food, which for us consisted of only two daily entre specials, a chicken dish and a lamb stew, was poorly executed. While it may have been partly due to our choices, nothing else that was carried past our table looked any better. Our French server was over-enthusiastic to the point of hyperactivity, but the other staff were friendly and helpful. Maybe we just got the wrong waiter. While bistros are supposed to be simply and sparsly furnished, the bistro 'look and feel' is lacking here. Strike three. At least it was quiet, primarily due to lack of customers, and their French wine list is diverse and reasonably priced."

"Was a very good meal, well-prepared and excellent taste. Service was friendly but a little obtrusive -- waiter visited table quite often (we were the only people in the place for first 30 minutes) and while he was trying to be helpful it got a bit annoying. Touted a dish, and when two of us ordered it, were told that there was only 1 left -- and this was very early in the day. Made me suspicious that the dish (which was enjoyed by the way) was a "left over" from previous night. All in all, a fair experience but the factors noted here plus the high price ($175 for 4 people, granted we each had desserts but there were only 2 total glasses of wine and no appetizers) means I would hesitate before returning."

"This was my first visit, and I and my friends will definitely return. Every dish was well-prepared, and was comparable in quality to what I have had in a good neighborhood restaurant in France. Service was helpful and attentive, and the tables are not on top of each other, so one can carry on a conversation without shouting. I particularly recommend the duck and the coq au vin. We didn't try the desserts, but I have heard from a friend that they are excellent, so next time I will try to leave room."

"We ordered the chef's tasting and were glad we did. Chef Matt Christie showed great passion, was attentive to us, and has a great creative streak. We enjoyed his pairings of duck and fois gras and hangar steak and marrow. Also an inventive palate cleanser of rosemary lemon sorbet. Knowledgeable and friendly service. Overall, look past the location and enjoy!"

"Very friendly staff. Pleasant surroundings. Sadly the wine was very over priced, and the steak at thirty dollars was over cooked and smothered in a rich yet bland sauce. The diningroom was almost empty dispite the aggressive advertising campaign."

"Delicious food, attentive service, a wonderful wine list with affordable French selections. The dessert--crepe suzette, pot de creme, wonderful berries with pastry and cream--was well worth it. Have enjoyed late dinner there with couples, but this time had a celebratory lunch. The dining room's daylight view of downtown Pittsburgh gives it an urban feel, but removed from the fray. The salads were delicious, especially the white bean with a very light dressing. It was nice that the full menu was available at lunch, though some of us opted for smaller selections. Memorable as always."

"This was our first time here and we were pleasantly surprised. The food was very good. For appetizers, we had the lobster crepe and the escargot, both were prepared very well and tasty. Main courses were the duck breast and the filets with fois gras. My wife, who loves fois gras, said it melted right into the beef and was excellent. We ordered a bottle of wine that our waiter recommended and it also was very good. For desert, we shared the crepe suzettes. The owner stopped by to chat and our waiter, who was from France, was very personable. All in all, a very good meal. We will return."

"Experience was wonderful. Food was very good. Owner met us at the door and we had a brief, but pleasant conversation. Our server was very nice and knowledgeable about the menu and bar drinks. Little on the pricey side, but that is what I have come to expect when eating delicious food that is prepared with pride. Will definitely come back. Valet parking in the evening is available and is most welcome, given the tedious task of finding a space to park your car on the streets of South Side ."

"We brought friends here for a birthday dinner, and we had fun. Other people in the restaurant seemed to be having fun as well, creating a lively atmosphere. The food and wine were good with one exception; the fish in parchment was rather boring compared to everyone else's meal. The service was exceptional, attentive without hovering. One entry arrived considerably later than the others, and the owner came within minutes of this lapse to offer the wine as complimentary. It was an excellent recovery and endeared us to the place even more. I look forward to coming back and not getting the fish!"

"My husband and I came February 15th, after the Valentine's rush, to have a quiet evening. The staff was welcoming and friendly, and we had a great experience over all.
Our dishes were delicious- we had the monkfish and braised lamb with lentils, and the duck rillettes for appetizer. All very very good and flavorful. We also enjoyed the bread and the cornichons at the table. We had a nice red wine; the wine list was bountiful. We needed to ask what would go well with our meal. Staff could be a little more knowledgable about the wine list, but it is extenisive.
I would like to go back for lunch and experience outdoor dining in the spring, next to the river. I'm sure that would be lovely."

"The food at this restaurant was excellent, but the service can be spotty. As I waited a half hour for my waitress to check back with me, I finished the rest of my dinner while it was warm, but did not touch my "frites" as I like ketchup with them. The owner or manager came over and asked how we liked our meal, and I mentioned that I really wanted ketchup, and could he find and send over our waitress? He said he'd take care of it. Several seconds after he disappeared, the waitress practically flew out of the kitchen with the ketchup. The restaurant was not at all busy, and there were just two other tables of guests. However, as I waited for my waitress, I counted over 7 visits by the other waiter to his tables, diligently checking."

"We had such a great time. The owner was very friendly and spoke with us on a couple of occasions during our meal. The bartender/ waiter was very knowledgeable and our "frenchman" waiter ended up feeling more like our "french friend". We just had the best time that night. That's not even mentioning the FOOD! I could have just had french wine and freshly baked bread all night but the lobster crepes (Appetizer) and Duck entree that I ordered were just delicious. We will be back again and this time we will be bringing more family with us."

"The food was good, and so was the atmosphere. The management went out of their way to make sure you were enjoying their experience and gave it a personal touch, but the waiter himself was pretty terrible. I understand about relaxing and enjoying your meal, but you can still come around every once in a while. His French accent made it almost impossible to understand the specials and when we mentioned we were there for Restaurant week, he looked at us as if we had something wrong with us and jetted away.....not exactly the response I was looking for.
Overall, this would have been a good experience if it wasn't for our waiter."

"The food was uninteresting and not worth the price. The server was very nice and helpful, and the dining room was lovely, but the owner was hovering around us a bit too much. I appreciate that he wanted to give a "personal touch" to the experience, but constant queries about our satisfaction made the experience a little bit awkward (particularly since our table was next to his, so we didn't feel free to talk about the food with each other during our meal). We won't be back."
