Welcome to The Palace, offering fine dining within the historic Cincinnatian Hotel. Our elegant dining room, innovative menu and seamless, classic service create a one-of-a-kind dining experience.
"Evrrything was well prepared and beautifully presented but we were thinking that the Palace would be extraordinary. The reputation created an expectation that the experience fell short of."

"Food was outstanding and what we expected for the price. We were, however, disappointed that for this caliber of a restaurant, the service was not top-notch. More than once our water glasses were empty and we had to ask for more, when the server poured the wine, he didn't use a towel and it left spots on the tablecloth. We refilled our own wine glasses. They were pleasant enough, just expected more for the price and type of restaurant. If somewhat more informal but pleasant service suits you, the food here is totally amazing and definitely recommended!"

"It is apparent that The Palace is struggling; this occurs when times and chefs change. Our food was not up to the standard of the past 20 years of our visits. We did speak to the manager of food and beverage when she approached us and asked for our honest feedback. We were open and honest, as was she, when we discussed the changes and the various menu items.
We have always found The Palace to be "that special dining venue", but without the wonderful service delivered by our server ( who we ask for personally), we would have experienced an unacceptable dinner with our friends.
The Palace needs to listen to its patrons and its servers and bring itself back to the standard of excellence that Cincinnati diners could always depend on."

"As usual the Palace was an experience to remember. My wife and I go every year for our anniversary and it is always an excellent experience. The wait staff was outstanding. Food was delicous and the ambiance was perfect. James our main waiter was very friendly and knowledgable and the food was outstanding. Always an evening to remember. Water glasses were always full and the presentation was spectacular. Do yourself a favor and treat yourselves to a night to remember."

"We enjoyed a nice 3rd Thursday special. Since we are both retired we reserved a table at opening time and were treated to a welcoming by most of the staff. Our waiter was attentive but not intrusive"

"The Palace has always been a great place to dine for my wife and me. Truly remarkable cuisine and it has carried over with Chef Beaudin as well. Poached Asparagus and the Pork Tenderloin were incredible. Tasting Thursday is always a wonderful experience and we look forward to returning again and again."

"That was one of the top 5 worst meals we have ever had. Do yourself a favor and avoid the buffets they offer at all cost (and by cost I mean almost $200 dollars for a dogs dinner)."

"My son and I went for Easter Brunch. We used to go to the Palace quite often when he was little and expectations were high. What a disappointment !. Bread was stale, no more omelet or waffles made to order. Both are pre made and kept barely warm as was the rest of the supposedly hot food. Desserts were mediocre at best.. It is not a brunch worthy of the Palace or at least what the Palace used to stand for. It is more of the Golden Coral kind. Oh and by the way, no crackers for snow crab. The chef thinks they are not needed. I guess next time we will go to Orchids where we'll be sure not to be disappointed. If I am going to spend $100 + for brunch for 2, I expect better"

"it was a very delightful experience overall however the little area that they seated us in was quite cold and there was a bad spot in the floor that I tripped on each time I went to the buffet..some of the items in the warmers were cold. Our waiter wasn't sure what the age was for the senior discount but gave us the discount anyway."

"Service was a little slow this time, and we had a few dishes that had spot on them. Wives food was undercooked, but they quickly replaced it. This is the first time we had any issues with The Palace."

"There is a new chef, who apparently is still using the menu from the previous chef. The dishes are costly and two of our four dishes for dinner were totally under-seasoned: not salted and very bland. The pleasant waiter did not charge us for the bland though well-cooked risotto, at least. Then the next morning for breakfast our orders were not executed as we asked: wrong cheese on the breakfast sandwich and wrong bread on the french toast. The dining room is lovely and the wait staff nice, but someone in the kitchen is not paying attention to what is ordered or how the food tastes."

"I was a confused when I arrived and there was no host[es] to greet our group. I was even more confused when I had to wait 10mins before someone came to find out why we were standing by the hostess stand. It was all down hill from here, our table was not ready (by now it was almost 30mins past the reservation time) an not set properly. Then it was another 10mins before someone came to greet our table, the manager came first. Throughout the meal it was clear that we were an after thought by the entire wait staff. The food was quite forgettable. There are so many other places to eat in Cincinnati, do not choose this one."

"We were more than disappointed with both the service and the food. Aside from a glass of water after we were seated it was almost 15 minutes before anyone approached us with a menu - drink request, etc. The menu offered nothing exciting and the food we did order was mediocre at best. Wine service (once we got it) was OK.. As things stand now, we would not consider returning and would advise our friends to stay away if asked.
For $450 for 3 people, in Cincinnati, OH - things should have been much much better."

"The food was very, very bland (I had the pork chop and my girlfriend had the NY strip steak). Neither entree seemed properly seasoned and the wrong food was initially delivered to our table. I definitely won't be returning to the restaurant."

"Overall The Palace was good but not great. However, our main courses were excellent. I had the duck and my wife had the salmon. Both we prepared very well and cooked to our specifications. They also have home made focaccia bread which was very good and we asked for more. On the unfortunate side, the food came out very slowly, our meal took 3 hours. We both ordered the kale and beet salad. It might have been one of the worst salads I have ever eaten and skimpy at best. Notice beet in the title? I had 3 tiny cubes of beet in my salad so that was very disappointing. 12 bucks for the stuff that you see in the veggie display at your local grocery store. Will we go back? Not any time soon is my guess. I expect a lot more for those prices."

"My husband and I make it a point to go out to dinner at The Palace once a year and each year it's amazing! We love the food and the atmosphere but this year it seemed like the service was a little slow. I don't think they had enough wait staff for the number of people in the restaurant. Other than that it was fabulous!"

"We expected better for the price. The food was just good enough but neither of us felt it was tasty enough to warrant the price. We had to request bread after watching tables sat much later enjoy theirs and only recieved our Amuse Bouche after a second request which was after our first course. Our first courses were not flavorful and the main courses were nothing special. The restaurant could use a renovation with new carpets, tables that you can put your feet down flat on the ground without the stand in the way and for that price I shouldn't be bumping elbows with the neighboring table. The entranceway was a horrible first impression and could use something pretty and an updated carpet. For Valentines Day there was no special decoration."

"Regularly ranked among the top 2-3 restaurants in Cincinnati, The Palace delivers the dining experience you'd find in any upper end food cities. Unlike the pure grandness or trendy nature of the competition, The Palace, and the Cincinnatian hotel in which it operates, is the embodiment of the ownership group and the man who oversaw its renovations. It is quiet and comfortable, elegant and sophisticated in subtle ways that reveal themselves over time, and example of a Cincinnati treasure which many from the culinary capitals of the world might overlook to the detriment of their taste buds and desires to experience the very best that a meal can be."

"Overall the experience was OK. It seemed to take a while to get served after we were seated. It was about 10-12 minutes before we received our coffee and tea. Maybe it was just me but othe patrons had received their breakfast quickly. After receiving our breakfast it was cold but still very good. It was not that busy I just believe they may had forgotten about our order and the breakfast may have been sitting for a while before they brought it to us.I will still try it one more time."
