"While everything on the menu is probably good, FFB just has such an expansive menu that it is impossible to know what are their true specialties. We went with mostly meat and fish entrees, which are a bit on the pricey side, but pretty reasonable. The wine list is very reasonable and includes some great French wine. Overall, very good experience."

"I'm a fan of this and Founding Farmers. Good food, not too large or overpriced. My only complaint is that twice now, we show up before our reservation and people walk in without reservations and are seated before us. This makes little sense to me.. and the servers are a bit snooty when you ask about it. If it keeps happening, it's enough for me to not want to go back despite the food."

"Thank you to manager Lauren Scott for helping us to resolve our issues. The main courses came too fast (as we were just eating the appetizers). The wait staff was not too accommodating about taking the food back to the kitchen to keep warm. When the food was brought back to our table, one order was incorrect and the others were cold (as they did not keep warm or prepare fresh meals). When this was brought to the attention of the manager, she immediately took charge and made sure that all was OK. The bill was adjusted (MORE than fairly) and Lauren apologized repeatedly. We appreciate her response to our issue and we will return for another meal. Thank you to Lauren for handling this as she did."

"There were 4 people in our party. 3 of the 4 ordered hot entrees, 1 ordered sushi. The 3 of us who had the hot entrees were done with our meal before the person who ordered the sushi ever got hers. Very rude and inconsiderate of the establishment. The entire restaurant seems to be filled with people who have no idea what they are doing. Very noisy, food is good, but I would never return. Unfortunately there is a lack of good restaurants near The Kennedy Center."

"Unfortunately we got sat In the corner which really affected our experience, especially since it was the corner of neglect. It took 15 min to get 1 glass of wine and as we were hAving our appetizers they decided to squeeze the mussels shells dish (my main meal) in the table. May not seem a big deal to some people but I'm in the hospitality business and I have totally different expectations of how I would treat a guest."

"The restaurant exceeded any expectation I had. The food was amazing. We went for Mother's Day brunch. They had a variety of foods from tacos to French toast to all kinds of desserts. They also had different kinds of sushi being passed around by servers. The sushi was very fresh, real crab was used in the California roll. Very impressive. My dad had the bottomless make your own bloody marys, said it was one of the best he had and that's saying a lot from him considering he's had multiple bloody marys in his time. Overall the experience was great, the food was amazing. I would definitely recommend this place to everyone. Reservations recommended."

"We were a party of five looking for a good place for an early dinner after a matinee show at the Kennedy Center. We landed on this given its proximity. The restaurant is new and the decor very nice and in keeping with their theme, plus there are good views of the waterfront. However, the really great part about our experience was the food - everything was really FRESH, which of course makes all the difference. The prices were very reasonable as well. I would highly recommend this place and will be coming back again soon!"

"I wish I could rate this restaurant based on the food alone. However, I can't; the service was the worst I've ever experienced. It started at the bar, where we waited while our reserved table was being cleared. It took 20+ minutes. I'm not even sure WHY we had a reservation considering the amount of time it took for us to be seated. The bartender was not attentive, when we finally received drinks, the hostess was showing us to our table.

The waitress was extremely rude; she forgot some things we ordered, walked away mid-sentence during requests and tossed our check on the table and walked away.I wanted to complain to management while there, but my party urged me to "just let it go".

Extremely dissatisfied with the service at this place!"

"The food is good but the service is lacking. I have eaten here twice, once for lunch during the week and once for dinner on the weekend. Both times it took forever for our drinks to arrive. Both times our meals arrived two to three minutes after the appetizer arrived. Our food got cold because we were eating the appetizer. After you receive your meal, the waiter or waitress does not check back to see if you need another drink."

"FFB is a very energetic and trendy waterfront spot. The menu is eclectically diverse - both in terms of food and liquid potions. The best thing that our table got was the chef's chicken. The more complicated the dish the less impressed we tended to be with it. I ordered sushi and I didn't get what the hype was about. Sure, it was good, just not remarkable enough to have a separate sushi kitchen and brag about it. The dessert portions were ridiculously huge. We got three of them and between five people could barely dent them. Overall I would go back, not get the sushi, and order less dessert. Also, it is very loud - try and get a little alcove booth to save yourself and your ears."

"We arrived at about 5:05 for a 5:30 reservation and were seated immediately. We were out of there at 6:55 - cocktail, appetizer, main course and desert. Fried fish platter was left half eaten - very heavily covered in bread, (I prefer a floured coating. I can get a heavy bread coating out of the freezer section of my Giant store); jambalaya was not traditional as the fish and meat were not cooked in with the rice but presented, quite nicely, around the dish. My Manhattan cocktail was served with an orange skin slice, not a cherry. ( I have never had it served that way - by definition a Manhattan has a maraschino cherry.) Everything seem to be one off - from my expectation. Founding Farmers is a better choice."

"This was my 2nd time at FFB, having dined at lunch previously. The hosts were very accommodating when we wanted to sit in a different spot. Our server was very knowledgeable about the food and drinks and even brought me tastes of their 3 Spanish wines. Their menu is somewhat overwhelming, with so many different types of food/categories. We ordered the mahi-mahi special and the skirt steak. The grits with the mahi-mahi were amazing - so creamy!! Our food took a while to come out, which we didn't even notice until the manager came over to apologize & invite us to dessert on the house. We didn't take them up on it, but being in restaurant business myself, I totally appreciated they were on top of the timing, even when we were oblivious!!"

"Best item on the menu 6 mos ago, the coconut cake, is gone. Pastry chef reportedly moved next door to Tony & Joes! Crab dip with pita pieces is still top notch. Unfortunately the menu contains numerous less tasty choices. Chicken jambalaya comes with a chicken leg and thigh plopped on top of the rice. Boneless breast would be more diner-friendly.3 or 4 shrimp were good. Otherwise..a disappointment. Veggie burger tasted like mushy turkey stuffing. A cauliflower steak was WAY overpriced at $15.Nothing but a slab of flavored cauliflower.Maybe ok for lesser price as a veggie but as an entree..not a good choice. Outside seating was delightful on Derby weekend.Probably wont return with such hit or miss choices on the menu. We had too many misses."

"Farmers, Fishers, Bakers boasts an extensive menu of genuinely impressive food. We went as a group of four to celebrate a special occasion and although it was expensive, all of the food was extremely enjoyable and we had a good experience. All of us were pleased (except with the fact that the appetizer we wanted wasn't available, although our waiter did let us know at the end of our meal that they had more available for us to take home), especially with the heavenly beignets. Only downside was the truly ridiculous noise level. The décor of the place is incredible though. All in all, I'd go back for a special occasion."

"I can truly say my meal was the best brunch I've ever had. The food was all top-notch quality, from tacos with homemade corn cakes and super fresh guacomole to sizzling (heated while you spoon it out) artichoke crab dip to thick, perfectly grilled french toast with fresh berries and/or a bananas foster sauce....and to top it all off, the biscuits and cinnamon rolls that they passed were incredible. Can't recommend it enough."

"Fantastic dinner starting with a salad and selecting the Ahi Tuna dinner based on server recommendation. The ahi tuna was perfectly seared served with an excellent bean and tomato salad, just refreshing and delish! Splurged and ordered the Smith Island Cake in hot chocolate, oh so good! Everything I had was fantastic, love the location on the waterfront! Will be back soon!"

"Disappointing experience. Would not go back to give them a second chance. Washington Harbour is lovely area with lots of other dining choices. No reason to return to a place that could win the battle for mediocre."

"I have had dinner here twice and This was my third Lunch. Everytime the food was excellent, but the lunch wait staff has also been consistantly bad. We continually had to grab a passing waiter to get menus, water, and even take our order. I was there for a business lunch and we spent more time ralking about the lack of service ten we did business. Thankfully the food was excellent. I have learned that the service at the bar and Sushi bar is the way to go they are responsive and curtious.

Go for the Tiki Drinks!"

"The view from Farmers Fishers and Bakers is hard to beat. Service was decent. We waited a bit for a waiter and entrees arrived while we were eating salads. The menu says that you can order one of their salads and add a protein to make it an entree, but I wouldn't recommend this. The salads on their own are pretty small. Everyone else in my party seemed to enjoy their food, so I think I made a poor choice in ordering. I would go back and try something else."

"I never write reviews. So this I feel strongly about. The service was absolutely horrible. "Poor" is a delicate review of the service on Friday night. The food was good, but not good enough to make up for the terrible service. We waited on water at our table for 25 minutes."

"I made what I thought were lunch reservations but when my wife and I arrived, we found out the restaurant was serving their weekend brunch. It was not what we were expected but we still had a wonderful dining experience. Brunch ended up costing about the same as lunch would but we got to try many more items in the server-yourself brunch set up.

The service staff was a little less attentive during brunch than past experiences at FFB. I saw service staff with tableside items that were not available at the brunch tables but they rarely stopped at my table.

Service aside, I had a great brunch experience at Farmers Fishers Bakers"

"The brunch at farmers and fishers is a buffet, and the food is pretty good. Great french toast, there's a taco station, carving station, omelets, and veggie option. Also includes fresh cinnamon rolls that are brought to you and quite delicious. Includes some interesting choices for brunch. The service could have been a bit better though, it was slow."

"Super bad service and pretty uninspired food. Dinners were brought out at different times, ruining the meal for everyone at my table of 6. Drinks took over 30 minutes to receive. We had two waiters and neither could be found when the service started to unravel. Manager offered free dessert, but it was too late. No point in trying your dessert when you ruined our dinner."

"They have a huge menu which usually indicates mediocre food. But in this case everything we had was very interesting (not ordinary or mediocre at all) and it was all fabulous. "Checked in 10min early to reservation, still took 40 minutes to seat us. Fortunately I caught up with friends so time passed quickly. Otherwise, it would not have been pleasant. Appetizers were fresh, & innovative. Blood orange, compressed watermelon, ahi tuna and strawberry, delicious. I ordered the mussles (blue cheese and bacon) butwas either served the wrong dish or the flavor was extremely lacking. Thin, flavorless broth. I ate it because I was very hungry, but would have sent it back had we not been waiting so long. Others were very pleased - tuna plancha tacos and sausage jambalaya. will have to go back, might have been an off night."

"My second time dining here, both times had to send back food, service was slow as well so that when something was wrong with the food, it took forever to get it resolved.

Drinks were all amazing; if I ever return, it will be for drinks at the bar only."
