Koi SoHo’s intricate design evokes a sense of balance and serenity. Conceptualized by Koi’s Design Team, the décor reflects a natural oasis within an urban landscape. Key features of the 4,291 sq. ft. double-story interior include floor-to-ceiling windows, custom hand blown glass chandeliers, and wood columns with vertical garden accents. The main dining room incorporates elements of the rainforest through hand chiseled black stones, warm walnut woods and landscaped exotic accents that cascade down the columns. A dramatic spiral staircase leads to the second floor with three additional spaces including the mezzanine dining room, private dining room and mezzanine lounge. Illuminated by candlelight, the natural and intricate details create an elegant atmosphere, while earth-toned colors and modern highlights result in a stunning sense of harmony.
"I had heard wonderful reviews about the food and was not disappointed. Started with their signature crispy rice with tuna tatare on top. It was spicey but mouth wateringly delicious. Also had yellowtail with crispy onions...different in a good way. The food is presented to share so my husband and I shared the miso cod and the short ribs. Both melted in your mouth. The staff all around were so attentive. From seating us, to waiting on us, to clearing the table. My only disappointment was that there were only 2 of us. I will definitely return with a larger group in order to try more things on the menu."

"I took a friend here for his birthday lunch - thinking it would be special. The restaurant is pretty but not exceptional. We ordered the lobster salad which was gorgeous and delicious. However, things went back to unremarkable after that. The sushi rolls arrived on plain white plates without garnish. The fish was fresh and good but not particularly special. The bottom line for me is that I chose this restaurant thinking it would be a step up from the every day excellent sushi possibilities in NYC. While it holds its own perfectly well in the category of good sushi, I did not find it "special" in any way but the prices - which were indeed those that would create an expectation of "remarkable. If you do go - have the lobster salad."

"This Koi has the same food as Bryant Park location. Smaller restaurant with not the great ambiance of Bryant Park location. Overall a great meal. Will go back."

"This place is crazy. The food was bland; the server messed out order up 3 times; the white wine was warm so it tasted like olive oil. The only success of the evening was the koo sundae since they clearly only assemble it and don't have to cook it."

"Food is outstanding. Sushi is as fresh as you'll get it anywhere. Highly recommend the Northern Lights Roll and the Spicy Tuna with rice cake. So good it's stupid. It's a bit pricey though, so I'd save it for business meals or special occasions."

"The Sushi was very good but it didn't WOW me! The Krispy Rice Tuna Appetizer was WOW. The waiter seemed like he was new and didn't know the menu that well. For $100 a person for sushi it should WOW!. Definitely better than the average sushi place but not as good as Gari, Nobu, Poke, Morimoto, Yasuda, ETC...."
