"I placed a last minute reservation two days beforehand for a Party of 20 for a group that was coming in to town for a walk. The manager personally called me to find out what the needs for the group would be. The day of our group size dwindled (don't they always???) to 14, and they were happy anyway and made the two extra tables available for other patrons without any issues. Dealing with a large party is always a pain, and when gratuity is built in sometimes you don't always get the service that the gratuity should be buying. At Roseville Cozinha this was not the case, as the service was great. Food was amazing, and everyone in my party wanted to go back again the next day for lunch! Overall we had an amazing experience!"

"Pleasantly surprised by the food and outstanding service. Good drinks list. The night we ate at Roseville we were seated near a very large and very loud party (wearing leis, blowing noisemakers, etc. Very irritating.). We would go to Roseville again, but would ask to be reseated in a quieter location."

"We found this restaurant on Open Table while visiting San Diego. The food and ambiance were awesome. The staff were friendly and attentive. We had appetizers, a main plus dessert. There were all fantastic. Highly recommend!!!"

"Fresh fresh oysters! Great calimari sandwich! Best bread pudding ever! What's not to like? The lunch service where you order at the counter. Without that, waitstaff would have rated much higher."

"The fresf fish at Roseville Cozinha is excellent. The oysters are fresh and perfectly shucked. The nightly fish specials were wonderful. Wines by the glass are pretty good - some nice choices. The Pizza crust was not crisp enough - but one could ask for that when ordering. Do I need a straw in my big tall water glass? Is the ambience as good as the fresh fish? No to both questions, tho' they are related, I think. I would recommend this restaurant to someone who wanted oysters and fresh fish in Point Loma. I returned two nights in a row for the oysters alone."

"We like to try different and new places and were looking forward to this one. What a disappointment. It is OK inside even though the noise level is "high" but the worst was the food/wine. We ordered the Cioppino (which made no mention on the menue to the spices) and it was so spicy hot we had to each drink over 2 large glasses of water to eat it. We ordered 2 glasses of wine and it came in a water type glass, which would have been alright except there was hardly enough to have 2/3 small drinks from it. We have never been served, anyplace, that small a glass of wine.
We definitely would not go back and would caution anyone to inquire as to the food you order and just buy a bottle of wine (hopefully you will not get a 1/2 bottle)."

"We went for a big Valentine's Day dinner with family (group of 13). They were very accommodating to our group (kids included!), checking on food allergies, etc. ahead of time. The restaurant has a great, comfortable feel to it, and our waiter was laidback but attentive (they even gave us bread for my husband who was out in the car with a sleeping child). The food was great--menu was small but varied. I loved the clam chowder!
Our whole group really enjoyed our meal."

"Overall it was a pleasant meal and the service was decent. I think most notably there is a lack of communication between the crew and kitchen; we kept getting our meals and appetizers too frequently and too close together--they actually had to take stuff back because there was no room, they seemed rushed to deliver although it wasn't busy... Should give the patrons a little more time to enjoy what they have instead of making them feel rushed. My fiancé loved the food but I think it was mediocre!"
