"My wife and I have been visiting Christies since the early 1960's--before we were married. She considers the fried shrimp to be the best anywhere. I love the steaks and catfish.
Christies is the only restaurant we've visited which has survived all these years."

"Arrived and were seated immediately. There was fast service and the food was great but not outstanding. One of our party was Vegan and there was food for her! Rare in a steak and seafood place. Good prices and pleasant atmosphere. This restaurant has been a fixture in Houston since 1917 and once you eat there, you will know why it has lasted all these years!"

"We made our reservation for Easter, thinking that Christie's would be serving lamb. We had heard rave things about Mr. Christie's lamb. Shame on us for not verifying that before hand.
The seafood dishes we got were good, but not what we were expecting. We tried the crab balls and they were very tasty."

"This is my father in law's favorite restaurants so he picked it for his birthday dinner. This was my first visit to Christie's. The food was good but there are lot more seafood restaurants that I would choose over this one in the future to dine at. My father was very pleased with his meal."

"I took my bride there for Valentine's Day. I knew it had a reputation for steak, but the seafood choices seemed to dominate the menu. We both ordered seafood and the fish was tender and cooked just right. A very enjoyable dinner - and the service was good too."
