"I have been a loyal customer for 7 years. In all of that time the menu hasn't changed. the noise level and chaos was deafening this time. the service staff seemed overwhelmed. We couldn't get out of there fast enough."

"We have always liked the food at Matt's. The only negatives this time was that the shrimp scampi didn't have quite enough lemon butter so the rice was a bit dry. Also, parking was quite difficult even though it was before 6pm on a Wednesday night. And it was a bit noisier than usual due to a child nearby who was bothering one of the people in our party. But 3 of the 4 people LOVED the food (ordering the meatloaf). Service was excellent."

"We seldom find ourselves on the Eastside but due to a special event we were in need of a dinner location. An internet search turned up Matt's and our experience was a represented on their website. Upscale but still casual - great outside dining (a rare warm night in Seattle! but still the outdoor heaters were very appreciated) - very good oysters and the rotisserie meats were fabulous. Good drinks as well. The tacos were terrific although huge (one would have sufficed!). Our waiter was friendly and helpful. FINDING the place however was not easy due to our lack of familiarity with the shopping mall Matts is located in and terrible graphics directory for the center - try we saw NONE."

"I have been here a couple times. My first time here i coordinated a company event and we had the back room all to ourselves. The staff was really friendly and helpful and able to accomodate every last request I had. The food was amazing (We ordered mostly finger foods/appretizers and some things were a little different, but surprisingly really good)"

"It took 1.5 hours for our order to be served. (table of 6), and the waiter avoided us for a bit (finally flagged him down to check on our order). I could see that there were wait staff hovering near the kitchen so there obviously was an issue. Food was good when it finally came, and luckily we didn't have other appointments, as we were not expecting a 2 hour lunch. Waiter did offer to comp our deserts and coffee which was very nice, and helped to make up for the long wait."

"Our table had the rotisserie chicken, the short rib stroganoff, the braised short ribs and a salmon special. All were very good. Serving sizes, with the exception of the chicken, were small for the price but adequate with an appetizer or salad. Our waitress was friendly and was honest about the menu and her likes. Drinks and water were also refilled often. Overall, we were very pleased and would dine there again."

"Picked Matt's from a couple of other places because of the reviews and was not disappointed. Arrived fairly early from reservation time and our party of 4 was seated immediatly. Servers were prompt and attentive the entire evening and suggesting items as we went through our meal. The prime rib was enjoyed by two, prepared two different ways, one very rare the other medium. The plates were cleaned. Fish and chips were "OK" by one's standard, but well presented. Braised Beef in Merlot was tender and flavorful. Desert was chocholate, need I say more! It was excellent.
Place a bit loud, difficult to have normal conversation without leaning over the table.

They were out of 2 of the items that my family wanted to order so three in my group had to make 2nd choices, the fish and chips were dry, my fish taco was okay, the ravioli was delicious,the burger was very good and the chowder was okay. "I went with my husband and parents after a show. It was Saturday night and very busy. We had reservations so we were seated upon arrival. The ambiance was warm and energetic. Overall the food was very good. I highly recommend the seafood chowder, its creamy with a perfect balance of seafood flavoring. My husband ordered the wedge salad which came with an amazing blue cheese dressing. I was a little disappointed with my Gorgonzola and Walnut Ravioli dish because the Gorgonzola flavor overwhelmed the dish (and I do love Gorgonzola). The service was good but not great. The waitress took our orders and checked in once after our food was brought out. We had to flag her down to get the check. I will go again."

"The oysters on the half were SENSATIONAL!!!!! Cannot say enough about how great they were - had a sampler dozen. Had chick/ssg/shrimp skewers and chicken was dry - shrimp and ssg good. Split a large prime rib dinner and they truly made 2 dinners for us, which they did not have to do - but the extra effort was really appreciated. Had incredible cheesecake with oreo cookie crust and lovely not-too-sweet raspberry sauce. Was hands down one of the best cheesecakes I have ever had."

"Great time with good food! We live on the Olympic Peninsula and chose Matt's because of its proximity to the Cirque du Soleil event. The service was efficient and we enjoyed happy hour specials prior to our meal. There were several larger groups and the atmosphere was lively and energetic. It appears to be a fun hot spot for locals!

"Great food, and on a Friday night it was very busy. You can tell the servers were extremely busy running around with the rush, but they did not provide a level of personal service I was expecting. I would've liked more attention from our waitress, more frequent refills on beverages as well."

"Had reservations. Probably not needed at 5:45, but it was busy by 7 and reservations would have come in handy at that time. Our server was very friendly. So many delicious choices on the menu made it hard to decide! Portions were just right. My father's steak came out well done (he had asked for medium rare). He was quickly cooked a new one, and the manager comped his meal. The second one they brought out was so delicious he didn't care anyway! The dessert was to die for. Highly recommend."

"I've eaten at Matt's many times. I thought this time, the food didn't have the taste I expected. The Prime Rib tasted a little like "roast", instead of what Prime Rib should. The Salt and Pepper chicken didn't have much taste throughout, just on the surface.
Overall, it was okay, but not the great tasting food I had become accustomed to,
