Located in historic downtown Lancaster, PA just a 1/4 block from Penn Square, Marriott/Convention Center and Central Market. The dining room, designed with a newspaper motive, maintains the beauty of the historic Steinman Hardware Building, dating to the mid 1700's. As you enter, the warm feeling of mahogany surrounds you as you are guided to a cozy booth or table by the window. Seasonal outdoor dining (May - September) is available in Steinman Park with a towering water fall. Our classic marble and mahogany bar offers happy hour specials, frosty beers, wines by the glass or bottle and a complete selection of cocktails. Enjoy our menu, which reads like a newspaper, includes appetizers, soups, salads, gourmet pizzas, burgers and full course entrees. We use the best quality seafood, beef, poultry along with specialty pasta features, daily specials and vegetarian options. The signature desserts will end your meal on a sweet note!
"As always, I enjoyed our experience at the Pressroom. I was disappointed that they had changed the menu because I was looking forward to their wonderful chicken crepes. Hope they put it back on the list or make it upon request. Would recommend this restaurant to anyone."

"In Lancaster to teach a graduate course, I asked for restaurant recommendations. My students highly recommended The Pressroom. I was no disappointed. Great salad, excellent prime rib and delicious cobbler for desert. Our waiter, Morgan, was knowledgeable, helpful and friendly - very nice guy! I'd go back!"

"The PressRoom has been one of my favorite restaurants in Lancaster through the years. Admittedly, I haven't been there in 1.5 years, and other times I've dined outside. This time I dined inside as outside seating was not available. The menu was uninspired and food and service were mediocre. My guest and I cut out after a round of drinks and starters. I think they can do better. We just hit them on a bad night."

"We heard there was a new chef and decided to try it again. The service and the food were both much improved. The server was attentive and respectful. The food was good, much better than before. My wife's rockfish was very good - properly cooked and with good accompanying sides. I had a filet with peppercorns that was tender & cooked exactly as requested. I've had better quality filets, however. The seating was tight & we were next to a loud larger party. It's a decent middle of the road restaurant & we'll likely go back."

"Dinners were overpriced, interior resembled a sports bar atmosphere without the noise. Workers were moving piano back and forth during prime dinner hour, should consider decor before or after hours to move furniture. Few choices on menu, will not return."

"A good night with great food... We had the cheese plate to start which had a nice array of cheeses with some capers, grapes, and berries along with a raisin bread and house made apple butter. Our entrees included the special of the night, a seafood stew in tomato broth with mussels, scallops, shrimp and fish. Steak au poivre, cooked to perfections with the classic peppercorn and brandy sauce. I had the crabcake, made with all lump crabmeat and virtually no filler, topped with a red pepper relish which makes you wonder why people even think about putting tartar sauce on a crabcake. Dessert was fluffernutter creme brûlée and pot de creme, two extraordinarily decadent ways to end the evening. Food was fantastic, can't wait to go back!"

"We did this for restaurant week. The food was good but not great. The menu is not as creative as Belvedere. The steaks were not of good quality.Would not likely return except on short notice. Over priced for quality."

"I went to The Pressroom for the first time with my girlfriend and had a great time. The food was pricey but well worth it! The wine and alcohol lists are fantastic. The ambiance was romantic and comfortable. Classy but not so classy that its uncomfortable. The hostess and waitress were so friendly and helpful. Plus, when it gets warm out, they have an incredible outdoor dining area. I'd recommend this restaurant to anyone whose willing to spend a little extra money on food and have a really nice dinner."

"Rated food as very good. Main course and selections were great. However the calamari was WAY overpriced and unimpressive. It did not match the rest of the experience."

"I enjoyed dinner with my wife on her birthday at The Pressroom on February 6. Previous to our reservation, I stopped at the restaurant and asked they put out cards and a bottle of wine at the table. When we arrived, we were greeted very friendly and shown to our table that was set up just as I had hoped. The Pressroom was outstanding. Food, service, ambiance were all excellent and the live music playing was light and very enjoyable. I would recommend The Pressroom to anyone for most any occasion and am looking forward to my next visit."
