"This restaurant is on par with any fine restaurant in a big city. The place was very clean, service was impeccable, the food very tasty, and the value - this meal could easily command double its price in NYC. We ordered escargot for an app, it was uniquely prepared in a cream sauce, with crisp crackers. WOW. For dinner we had the salmon and the steak, we both cleaned our plates. The peppercorn steak was very good, cooked exactly to order. The chef is clearly skilled and cares about what he serves. This place is WAY under-attended, its worth the trip!"

"Our first time at Currents and we had a outstanding dinner. The Lobster & Crab Bisque, Jumbo Shrimp and Colossal Crab Conceicao and the Char-Grilled Grouper were excellent. The staff was friendly and accommodating. Have a Rip Tide at the bar first. We will definitely return."

"The food was good as usual but the service was definitely off. We waited 30 minutes for our appetizer and when I asked a server, not ours, if we could get some bread she rudely told us our server would be by with our food shortly and walked away. Definitely wrong answer and wrong attitude. We noted others had bread baskets only later on after we finally received our food. We try to avoid bread so didn't immediately ask for it but after 30 minutes we wanted something to munch on. We noted Tracey wasn't there and wonder who was in charge."

"Delicious! We dined at Currents on April 6th, the food and atmosphere were both wonderful. I had the smoked salmon BLT without the B, it was delicious and there was an ample serving of salmon on the sandwich. My husband had the Neptune pasta with the hot brandy cream sauce, he cleaned his plate. We had the most amazing perfectly spicy bloody mary's, wish I had one now! To end the meal we shared the bread pudding, yummy!
The service was friendly and not over bearing.
If you are in Tarpon and you are looking for a change of pace from the docks please go downtown. We will certainly be going there next time we are in Tarpon Springs, I would love to try the apps on the dinner menu."

"This was our first time after a bad experience last year. We decided to return on a weeknight, but what a mistake! After having made a reservation, we were seated and the restaurant was VERY full. Only one server and one bartender who was filling in as a server. It took forever to get a drink and after telling our server that this was our first visit back from a bad experience one year ago, she recommended that we leave, as service was not going to be very good due to the lack of wait staff. At least she was honest. I would not recommend. Go to Manolo's 3 doors down the street!"

"The typical steak and seafood cohort is offered in unusual and delicious presentations. All was perfectly done. Elegant dining and an upscale bar coexist nicely in a small-ish area, feeling very European in its use of space. Our waiter was helpful without being intrusive. All tables have a view of the street scene, but from a slightly elevated space that keeps you from feeling spied on by pedestrians. Great for special occasions with a loved one."

"Second visit duplicated what we experienced the first time: slow service, very slow service. The waiters are overwhelmed with the Saturday crowd. The steak was well cooked but the mashed potatoes were dry. My wife's grouper was no more than 6 oz.

"We had a lovely birthday dinner; wine list is not extensive but has nice choices and variety; cocktails were well-made; food was delicious--grouper piccata from the menu and a grouper special. It was quiet the night we were there and service very cordial and prompt. Our only negative for the experience was the choice of music -- rockabilly was not appropriate for the setting. It's more of a Norah Jones spot."
