Led by chef Craig Fitzgerald who cooks from the heart using fresh seasonal ingredients from local and regional markets in an American bistro setting. The West End features starters, apps and small plates at pocketbook pleasing prices. All matched up with a selective, inventive wine and cocktail list.
"West End Bistro has delicious food, simply put! I have never had a bad dish at this bistro. The French dip sandwich is fantastic and their eggs benedict are the best in the area! The ambiance is great indoors or out. The last time I was there was during the Art By the Falls Festival. I had a reservation which I recommend for West End. It was super busy and they seemed short staffed. Our server (I think her name was Ashley, not sure), was courteous, professional and cool under intense pressure. She was great! She handled the crowd with a smile and was very polite throughout the busy afternoon. Great service! We make the trip from Cleveland to Chagrin Falls just to dine at this super restaurant! Always worth the drive!"

"A limited menu, but what they have is so good. Good sized salads. My wife had the salmon and I had shrimp and grits. Both were tasty with a nice little kick to the shrimp. The portions wre just the right size and priced good also. And you could talk to your tablemate without shouting which is highly unusual anymore. We will be visiting it again. Srvice was good too. Didn't smother you or ignore you.e"

"Went for Sunday brunch and made reservations about an hour ahead since it was a holiday weekend. Only a few tables were taken as this was a little off the beaten path compared to other places. I had a turkey sandwich and my wife had the smoked salmon Eggs Benedict. Both items were very well balanced. The smoked salmon was incredible with the eggs and the turkey sandwich had a very nice avocado spread that really added something special. There was no obvious kids menu, although they did serve our daughter a kids portion french toast. The menu was limited for brunch and prices for the mimosas were a bit high ($8) for the portion size. Staff was friendly and the outdoor seating was perfect with the weather."

"Mushroom pizza was really good, and I loved the thin crust. Service was great for attitude and pep, but slow with drinks when we first arrived. Overall, a nice evening."

"A table on the back patio is always special. Appetizers, especially the ahi tuna, are excellent. Only disappointment was the kitchen being sold out of salmon by 8 pm on a Saturday night, with no other fish options, so obviously some poor planning ."

"We went to the West End Bistro for the first time on a Saturday night. It was a beautiful night and we sat out in the back outside. It's a very nice setting with good people watching for Gamekeeper's as well. We went for the special 3-course tasting and we both liked the offerings. The Scallop was perfectly cooked and very tasty. The Arugula Salad was a great second course. The Oxtail & Pasta medley to finish it off was also good with all parts being cooked just right. We also went "off the board" had the Hank Panky as an additional plate. I loved it more than my wife but we both liked it a lot. It's a favorite as an appetizer in my family and I liked how they went with the Chorizo sausage and the sweetness of the fig.
We'll be back."

"The food is very good here, nice small portion sizes. Unfortunately the night we were there with friends the waitress was very nice but the service was incredibly slow. We waited forever to place out order, forever for the food, and even to get some water and the check- they had this waitress doing tables upstairs as well as outside and we never saw her. Poor staffing as far as I could tell. Otherwise we all loved the food once we got it."

"I love the small plates menu! It gives you the opportunity to have a whole bunch of things. My husband and I enjoyed 5 different dishes. The tuna tartar is one of my favorites and the Hanky Pankys are delicious. We also had the bruschetta, margherita pizza and caprese salad. Each plate left the table clean! A perfect restaurant in the heart of Chagrin Falls!"

"Our experience was not good. We enjoyed a previous meal 4/5 week earlier and expected to have the same menu. We checked on line and the menu was the same as our earlier visit. To our suprise the menu was not the same. Web site menu had not been updated.
The "small plates", very little value for the price. We ordered beef tenderloin with potatoes which were served lukewarm.
Not likely to return.

"If you don't mind walking up the steps for the upstairs dining, then definitely take a walk upstairs - it is a very different atmosphere. My dining friend and I felt for the wait staff - having to walk up/down the stairs...however, our waitress did not seem to mind since we had some questions about the food items. Madison was most agreeable and made sure my dining guest, who could not tolerate butter or dairy was able to meet these requests. The tenderloin was delicious - though surprised they did not ask us how we wanted it prepared. And my - those mashed potatoes - YUM."

"We wanted to avoid the over-priced Easter buffets and then remembered how fabulous West End Bistro was last year. We returned for a lovely Easter brunch and it was wonderful. My husband and I had the Smoked Salmon Eggs Benedict with perfectly poach eggs while my Grandmother and 12 year old son enjoyed the French toast prepared "Bananas Foster" style. Everything was to die for including the service. If only the weather had cooperated. Next year we'd like to return to the gorgeous outdoor patio."

"Funky and fun. Food good, very good, but no pretense of super outstanding. Lovely friendly service, unassuming and timely. A place I would easily and happily return to."

"I have eaten at this little gem many times and love the food and the ambiance. They have a nice little terrace for warmer days. However, this was my first visit in cold weather. There is no insulation in the walls and it was freezing cold in the loft. We kept our coats on the entire meal and our feet were frozen by the end of the meal. Although the waitress was apologetic and comped the soft drinks, they should definitely plug in some space heaters. I would highly recommend this restaurant in warmer days, but bundle up if there is snow on the ground!"

"We went here for dinner before a movie, first-timers. Loved the charm of the place and staff and food. Located in an old barn/building the window tables are a touch drafty, but altogether fine. The layout is eclectic and I'd like to see more reds in their wine list. Simple menu but very good. The parmesan bread though is so-so.
We will be back because it's a cozy spot in an interesting setting with tasty food served by nice people."

"We like this place. They keep the size of entrees to "small plates" which is actually just fine. Appetizers are excellent, nice relaxed vibe, good service, and quite reasonably priced."

"Food was delicious, but a bit pricey for the amount of food, also with a restaurant of this quality I would have expected better glassware. They didn't even have real wine glasses, just regular glasses that doubled as dessert glasses. I had the Scallops and they were delicious and beautifully presented!"
