"My husband and I went to Windsor for an Overnight date and I was looking for a good place to eat, that was reasonable, but nice. This place was Off the charts for our standards. The food was phenomanol and the servie was spectacular. The price was resonable and acceptable for the food and service provided. We would definitly go back over the bridge just to eat here again. Much more impressive menu then the other Top $$ place in Windsor. I am glad we chose this place over any other. It made our anniversary Memorable."

"We were a party of five and were seated at a table for 4. The one side was sort of a booth, which was very uncomfortable and we found that for the three seated in the booth they were very crowded and did not make for a very good dining experience. We will probably come back for dinner if there is something playing at the Chrysler Theater but will not want the same seating.."

"Our experience at the Keg was nothing out of the ordinary. We go there fairly often. Our server Jessica was super enthusiastic and did very well. I had the Pecan Crusted Sirloin....Delicious....as always :) My husband had the top grilled sirloin with a side of garlic mashed potatoes. He said his potatoes were bland. Other than that, it was a good experience and will most likely go back :)"

"I enjoy going to The Keg every time. This impromptu visit was for a small celebration of the end of school for my girlfriend and me. We always find the food and service amazing. Our servers have always been friendly and quick to see to our needs. The food is always perfect, tastes good and is filling, not to mention the lovely desserts. And the free parking makes the experience that much better. Thank you again for your hospitality."

"We had a reservation for 2 for 6:30 p.m. but arrived earlier than expected at 5:50 p.m. We were given a pager and told to take a seat in the lobby area. There were generally 6 staff at the reception counter at all times, and it seemed very unorganized up there. There were a lot of people who came in after us, with and without reservations, almost all of whom were invited to have a seat in the bar area. Our reservation time came and went, and anyone who had been in the lobby area had been dealt with, except us. At 6:45 p.m. I went up to ask why we weren't being seated, when we'd had reservation? The young lady realized she'd forgotten us, despite the pager system, and seated us immediately. We were never offered anything for the delay."

"We made our reservations for dinner through OpenTable and one special request we had was that we preferred a window table so that we could enjoy the view. Unfortunately, instead of having a windsow table, we were given a table right next to the party room. A quiet date night with my fiance turned out to be very loud and distracting. In spite of the unwelcome noise, the food - as always - was phenomenal and the service was excellent. We would definitely return, but will request a table far away from the noise!"

"My only complaint is. The Keg used to have 16 ounce NY strips. For the same price as the current 12 ounce. Now a 12 is the only option.

"We made reservations, we checked in we were given a choice to sit in the bar or dining room. We chose the bar area and then were told no reservations required and we had to go look ourselves and if there was no room were to go back to the desk and advise the Hostess. We did that and then had to wait for a table in the dining room. Next time we won't say the bar is ok. I don't understand why the Hostess would not have looked for us and then we would not have lost our position in line with the original reservation. I would think the Hostess would have known the bar area was already full. Lesson learned don't pick the bar side."

"I've been to the Keg (s) many times, this last Friday night for my daughters' birthday celebration. The four of us ordered steak dinners, which were fine yet a little disappointing for what is called a special, Sirloin & Seafood to be a thin piece of steak accompanied by what were basically dried/overcooked asparagus spears and red peppers. Minimal pieces of seafood but I guess for the price just over $26.00 you shouldn't expect too much. Needless to say two of us were somewhat disappointed with the presentation, meal. The other thing I'd like to point out was the waitress did not offer our table coffee or desert, knew we were celebrating a birthday and simply brought out a piece of desert with four forks..to share... what no coffee?"

"Food was excellent and the service was fine (i.e. OK). I was a little turned off that even though we made a reservation the hostess offered us the bar side instead. The bar side is nice enough, just thought it odd that they would offer that when we specifically requested a quiet table. In general, the hostess seemed a bit snooty and the waiter was fine but much more casual than I'd expect at a place that serves $40 entrees.
I'm not sure that I'd drop another $100 on a night out for the experience we had last week, despite the food being excellent. I think management needs to hold a come to Jesus meeting with the service staff to reiterate the necessity of good customer service in a higher end establishment such as the Keg."

"The service and food were out of this world. Our appetizers did not arrive at our table before our dinner and the cook and waitress could not apologize enough. These items were taken off of our bill, which I feel defines great customer service. I did find it really hard to talk to the waitress due to the loudness of the music. "After reading reviews about the Keg I was very excited about having a meal there, it was mine and my girlfriend's engagement meal so I thought this would be a perfect place to celebrate, however....while the service was excellent the food itself wasn't I ordered the rib eye steak, something for which the waitress said you were well known for, but when it came out it had no taste what so ever, my girlfriend ordered chicken breast, and she was less than impressed as the chicken was also tastless, and over cooked and dry, I would go back again but not for a good while, again, service was excellent but food wasnt. Although we came out of the restaurant with two full bellys, we were some what dissapointed."

"Over all the meal was good, however your kitchen did not prepare the meal I ordered and the wait staff had to go get the seafood portion of my steak. There was a discount offered on my bill. We also had to remind the waiter that he offered additional bread but forgot to bring it. Also we waited too long for our drink order that was placed almost immediately.
My meal should have been a complete comp as serving the seafood on the side was not what I wanted or ordered. The wait staff should have offered to either comp my meal or replace my meal with a discount.
I know that mistakes happen however I also know the markup on food items as I have worked in the industry in the past.
Shame on the greedy bottom line."

"Management was very kind and accommodated our needs. We were given a different table next to the window when we asked. Servers knew their stuff. Food was great and hot when served. Appetizers and entree were served with appropriate timing. Manager paired my entree with a delicious wine and it paired perfectly! Scenic view was a plus next to the Detroit river."

"We were here for a bday party - group of 10. The waiter was outstanding. Overall, the food was good however, we were disappointed with our steaks. 8 of 10 in the group received their steak overcooked (from what was ordered). Of the one person that sent hers back - she waited until we were all done eating to receive her new meal. We went to the Keg for the steak - it was a letdown."

"Well we went to celebrate our son's 19th birthday as we are from the U.S. and he could drink legally. we went two years ago for our older son as well.The food (steaks) were made to perfection as they were last time as well.Service was very good. Only negative comment is that when I made the reservation through Open Table it asked if it was for a special occasion and I responded it was, and the hostess seating us asksd the same to which I explained and she said "I wilk let your server know," but there was no acknowledgement at all so why ask."

"All was excellent except the wine list. I'd prefer higher end vintage selections by the glass. Wolf Blass doesn't cut it with a superb prime rib. Our knives were not sharp enough however, the GM took them to be sharpened and although it took too long, he made up for it by comping our glass of wine."

"When you are looking for excellent food that is consistent in presentation, flavor and timing The Keg is a choice that can't be overlooked.
Loved that Open Table had a reservation available.
We called and were told 90 minute wait and then on open table had a reservation in 10 minutes. I felt like I won the lottery haha!"

"Hostess was very lukewarm, but service at the table was outstanding. I used their opentable online reservation system and did not get the seat we requested with a reservation, when folks who arrived at the same time as us who were walk-ins, did. That was disappointing. However once we were at our table, our server was fantastic. Food is not great for those who are not big red-meat eaters (me, unfortunately)- all appetizers seem like an afterthought both in taste and presentation. However, my date (the birthday boy) is a major carnivore and he loved his steak and everything about it. The complimentary birthday cake was a nice touch as well. We would likely go back again for a special occasion and I'd just try to eat more bread! :)"

"The riverside Keg has a great view of the Detroit skyline, especially at night. We have eaten in this restaurant many times and one of the best things about this place is that it is reliable. The rib os delicious and the steaks are always cooked to your specifications. If you want to eat beef this is the place to go and there are lots of other options for those who prefer chicken or seafood. Desserts are great too and the servers are friendly and professional."
