A taste of the world’s most unique flavors and spices has arrived to Libertyville. Here, you’ll always find the modern comfort food you’re craving. But not in the average, ordinary way. Instead, we want you to explore taste, be flavorfully adventurous. While other restaurants have “a chili” on the menu, we have a long list–from deliciously basic to taste-temptingly exotic. On the occasion you feel like something beyond the bowl, we have a full menu of uniquely delicious dishes destined to become your new favorites. Stop in for dinner, have a drink at our bar and lounge. Our goal is to satisfy every one of your senses. And add a little extra spice into your life.
"Just a simple downtown eatery that specializes in Chili. Many different types. I'd go back for a quick lunch next time I'm in town. (But at 1 PM Thursday I was the only guy in the joint.)"

"This was my first time visiting Chili U and my experience started out on a sour note because once we were seated it took about 15 minutes before a waiter came to our table; in fact, we had to ask for service. Our waiter did provide good service once he actually waited on us. I was surprised by the long wait since there were quite a few empty tables. As far as the food, I thought the shrimp po' boy sandwich was very tasty. However, it was too pricey, $15.00 for the sandwich and fries. I would have expected the sandwich to be closer to $9.00. Even though the ambiance was terrific, I probably wouldn't return due to the lack of the overall value at Chili U."

"Our waiter was terrible (took 10 minutes to acknowledge our table, took another 15-20 minutes after ordered drinks to take our food orders, food came out at different times, orders were incorrect, did not check back to see how meals were, plates were not cleared). The food is delicious, but if they can not get their service issues worked out, we will unfortunately not be returning."

"It was our first time here and everything was awesome! We all loved our food (burgers and chili)and the service was fantastic. The chef even came out to make sure we enjoyed our food! Great place overall! Can't wait to go back again!"

"We had a small group for dinner at Chilli U on a Friday night. We had a reservation but could have walked in and would have been seated right away....the snow and cold may have kept some away.
At our table we tried several different styles of chilli, bases and toppings and everyone enjoyed their meals. One of the meals was rated one chili and over time the heat built up so the meal was a little hotter than expected, but tasty. Portion sizes were large and we took home some leftovers. The beer menu offered a couple of pleasant surprises as well.
I will go back again. You need to try Chili U especially if you like comfort food."

"Probably the worst restaurant we have been to in a long time. Place was empty yet service was very slow. Food was bland -- I csn make way better chili on my own. Interesting concept horrible execution."

"This is a newer place in downtown Libertyville and it is great. The variety of chili's is outstanding and the sandwiches are great. Best decorated and appointed batherooms i seen in a restaurant. The restaurant set up and decor is terrific. We had the sliders last time, i highly recommend them."

"The service was poor and the food was substandard. I requested a change which was not honored and it took a half hour after that to get our meal. We will not go back."

"This was our first time at ChiliU and we will definitely go back. The food was delicious and service was good. Some restaurants in town are too noisy when trying to talk with friends but this was not a problem here."
