"The restaurant was not full and it seemed understaffed. It took a long time for our orders to be taken, after th played were cleared we waited 30 minutes without anybody checkin the table, no dessert menus, no refills and no bill to pay. Extremely disappointed and would not recommend it to anybody."

"In an area that should welcome Mediterranean food, this restaurant should be primed for success. Unfortunately, it doesn't deliver any modicum of Middle Eastern flavours or dishes.
The menu is pedestrian, the food nearly flavourless and over priced, and the service atrocious. The worst offence is the horrible service. Our waiter was m.i.a. We had to ask for bread and then had to practically beg to get our order in. There are plenty of service people, but they all tend to congregate around the bar gossiping with each other. They are, however, exceptionally efficient at not gaining eye contact. I had to go up to the bar twice to ask for our bill.
Neither I, nor any of my party will return or recommend this restaurant"

"I did not find food as good as I expected based on some reviews I read - the best thing I tried was sundried tomato spread, that came with the bread.
Restaurant is nicely decorated and atmosphere is enjoyable - it was almost empty on Friday night. Music was very nice.
Service could have been better - we had to wait for the plates to be changed and at the end had to call the waiter , so he brings the bill. Waiters are standing there, close to the bar, but they do not make a move right when you need them."

"The appetizer was great - the three dips (hummous, babaganoush and red pepper) were delicious. as well, the mains ( germuez and tilapia ) were great, very tasty.
we plan on returning again, and will recommend this restaurant to others."

"We have been here several times and the food is consistently fresh and prepared to perfection. There is a good variety on the menu with the addition of daily specials.
They do fish very well and they have changed up the offering every time we have been there. The food is presented very nicely, which is always a bonus.
Appetizers and salads are also freshly prepared. I have yet to try the desserts.

"I found that the service was ok, but a bit slow. I don't mind waiting for my food but I don't like to wait for the server. They didn't have the salads we wanted which was quite odd because it was Saturday night and quite early. The soup I had instead was not very good. The rest of the food was good by all other accounts. We will likely return but it wasn't my favorite."

"Extremely rushed waiter. Rushed through the specials and talked very fast. And after delivering our food he was to never be heard from. Had to ask another waiter for more water and bread, who by the way never told our waiter. Very poor service. Food was fair. Mood was okay probably because it was valentines day. I don't know if I would recommend this restaurant. The service killed my experience at mideastro."

"Really enjoyed dinner with friends there on Saturday. Everything was great from the bread and oil/olive tapenade to dinner. would be nice if they could include a bit more options with chicken, but excellent overall. Very friendly staff and music was top-notch throughout dinner."

"We had a nice meal at the restaurant. The food was good but not outstanding or noteworthy. This is as a nice neighbourhood restaurant that is easy. By that I mean if you want a decent meal but don't feel up to going downtown, this would be the place to go. However, having said that I will not return. The bill at the end of the meal was outrageous. I stayed away from the lamb chops because I did not think $38 was reasonable! Not for a TH neighbourhood restaurant. Take Mezzes on the Danforth. They serve the most incredible lamb chops which you can get by the piece at $4.00 each. We spent almost $200 (including the 15% tip) for 3 people with only 2 glasses of wine and no desert. We spent less for more at Bent last week."

"We were happily pleased with Mideastro for its food, ambience and attentive services by our server. I ordered the grilled Italian sea bass, whole fish. It was perfectly grilled and seasoned. However there were a little bit of scales left around the stomach area. I would have been happier if the chef did a more careful cleaning job! My husband ordered the veal scallopini with white cremini mushroom and it was tender and tasty. However the serving size was too little as a main and for the price we paid. We made a point to tell our server and he took the feedback well and said he will let the chef know. We were not too impressed with the Melting Volcano desert, it was ok but not special. We hope Mideastro will improve based on our feedback."
