Remedy is a Gastropub whose menu focuses on farm to market food that is locally sourced and seasonal. Max Watson's culinary team applies fine dining techniques to the classic foods we grew up loving. Let's not forget the "Pub" in gastro pub. GM Stewart Hemmer and his well seasoned bartenders created a cocktail list that brings the old school cocktails back with style. "This was a fun place with a good beer selection and some great food! The service wasn't stellar - our waiter was a neat freak who kept cleaning and clearing before we were ready - but other than that a recommendable place. I will go back. Among the things we really liked: Soup special - cold cucumber soup (excellent!), the pork shoulder, the Bahn Mi sandwich, the eggplant fries, and the falafel appetizer. They had a special donut desert that was really great!"

"My family of four ate there for dinner. The food was excellent and the service was very good. It was a nice evening outside and they had the resturant opened up for a great open air feel. We are definitely looking forward to going back."

"The food was wonderful, I got the walleye and my friends got the brisket sandwich and burger. Everyone enjoyed our food, but we would have enjoyed it more if it didn't take well over an hour to get our food. over an hour into it the manager came to our table and told us our food would be off the grill in less than 10 minutes- which would mean they had started cooking the food a couple minutes beforehand, and we were confused as to why because many people at that time were drinking and not eating so they weren't backed up on food orders. Drinks were wonderful. I might give them a second chance to see if service was just a one time bad thing because we did like the food."

"This was actually my 2nd time eating here. 1st and foremost the Eggplant Fries appetizer is amazing and a must order. Its a relatively small place and the bar is not separated from the dining area....so needless to say it was loud. When I say loud I mean like i had trouble communicating to the waitress what I wanted on the 1st try. Maybe it was just a Friday after work (well 7:30-8pm) but it was pretty loud. They have good mix drinks and a great beer selection....i think it's just more restaurant/bar than fine dining. Kudos to our waitress though she was great, 5 star service."

"Starters deviled eggs and Beef Tartare. both very good. I was excited to try the cacio e pepe. They add coppa to it, so it is not the usual pasta and cheese dish. I like that they offer 2 portion sizes. It was not what I expected. It was soupy with thin noodles. It had good flavor but you want to really taste the cheese and the pepper in a cacio e pepe dish. Mine tasted like it was in a broth. A different version but it was tasty. I requested and got a side of polenta, divine! My BF had the duck confit, the the thig/leg portion. He really enjoyed it although I found it to be a little dry. He also enjoyed sampling the beer list which is noteworthy. Moscow Mule was a bit weak. The ginger beer was flat not as flavorful. Nice ambiance & decore."

"We ate at Remedy for Easter Brunch. The ambiance was great. I loved the drinks. The most of the food was good. I do wish there was a kids menu at least for Easter Brunch since the restaurant was filled with families. In all, we had a good experience."

"Ate lunch on a snowy day there recently. There was no one there at lunch that day, but I assume the regular days and nights are quite energetic. The corn dogs and bologna sandwich are exceptional and a must."

"One of the best farm-to-table restaurants in Kansas City. Fresh, local ingredients and a menu which changes seasonally makes for a terrific dining experience. The deviled eggs are a terrific starter and the fried mussels were interesting. My fried chicken was cooked perfectly and my spouse enjoyed her snapper with mustard greens and romenesco sauce. Our friends tried the sirloin steak and the polish sausage and both were very happy."

"Excellent Chocolate Waffle Dessert and Outstanding Eggplant Fries (appetizer). The Falafel appetizer was tasteless and the Corn Dogs appetizer was just average.
An interesting twist on traditional menu items!"

"I love the beer selection and atmosphere at this bar but am continually disappointed with the service and food. Everything I order from the burger to appetizers are always overcooked. I have ordered a burger there 4 times and asked for it to be medium rare and it is always overcooked. The food is not cooked to order and is overpriced for what you get.
I was there on Superbowl Sunday and frankly my friends and I were the ONLY people there and the service still stunk! Our waitres was about as horrible as possible and she clearly did not want to be there. I don't think I will be a 'regular' customer there anymore."

"I think there is some confusion for the establishment as to whether it should be a sports bar or a fine dining establishment. Menu is somewhat exotic but the atmosphere is more sports bar with 8 televisions and high tables. Food was just ok and don't think we will venture there again."
