Tin Angel
We feature (over 19 years)great food and excellent service in a comfortable art filled historic environment at reasonable prices.
Our freestanding fireplace, old brick walls, antique cafe tables, period tin ceiling and locally cut, milled and built on site walnut bar frame the restaurant.
We present modern American cuisine with French, Italian and Latin influences, using local, sustainable and organic whenever possible.
The menu changes seasonally and specials are offered daily along with weekly prix fixe dinners.
Our comprehensive wine list is designed to complement the menu.
If we wouldn't eat it we won't serve it.

"There were not many options for vegetarians on Saturday night as they were out of the one vegetarian main option and we were not told this until it was ordered or we would have left. This has usually been a very good restaurant but was disappointed and probably will think twice about going again."

"Overall things were good, but wasn't my favorite restaurant to entertain in Nashville. Valet parking should be on the side of the restaurant, not on West End Avenue.
Everything was good, but wasn't exceptionally great...I love to support local restaurants, and would definitely return to try different menu items though."

"We decided that rather than exchanging birthday gifts, my wife and I would take each other out for nice dinner. It was our first time at Tin Angel and it couldn't have been a better gift. Everything about the Tin Angel was above average. The waitress even put a candle in my wife's desert. If any restaurant owner wants to get it right, use Tin Angel as your template!"

"With a suggestion from our cousin, who lives in Nashville and has a lot of fine dining experience, we had high expectations for our meal at Tin Angel... and we were even more impressed than we expected to be! The decor had an eclectic mix of historic and modern, and the service was excellent. Both my husband and I, and our twin 12-year-old daughters, enjoyed the fresh, local ingredients which put a novelle American spin on some favorites. We loved everything, from appetizers and drinks to dessert... we give Tin Angel two thumbs up!"

"Solid experience. Wanted a warm spot to hide from tourists and unexpected snow. Attentive wait staff despite minor confusion regarding gluten free needs. Got it straightened out quickly. Scrumptious goat cheese salad. The med salad was less impressive but still a welcome veggie meal. Dessert was a perfect size and flavor, choc cake in a ramekin. "With so many new restaurants in town, we had not been to Tin Angel in some time. We had forgotten that it is still one of our most consistent and enjoyable restaurants in town. On a cold night, the the fire and a excellent comfort food plate of a grilled pork chop with excellent man and cheese hit the spot. I also enjoyed a good bottle,of wine that was not ridiculously marked up like so many in town do. I don't know why more places don't follow a more reasonable mark up, I'm far more likely to order a bottle if it is fairly priced."

"I took my wife to Tin Angel for our anniversary dinner. This was our second visit. The good: The staff was friendly and we experienced good service. The food was very flavorful. The wine list is pretty long based on my limited experience with wine. The menu selection is the right size. The atmosphere was pleasant. The dessert is the best part of the night.Areas for suggested improvement: Although I understand this is a business and you need to turn around tables to generate revenue, I feel we were a bit rushed or hurried. I'm unsure if that was due to the staff feeling rushed or if we were intended to be rushed through our night and get out of our seats quickly. Either way is unacceptable to me. Tea is aweful. "They are living off there excellent former reputation. Lunch was poorly prepared. The lunch had tremendous potential. Chicken was cold. Brie was melted, but came cold and solidified. Garnish was looked terrific. But was tasteless."

"Sadly, we sometimes forget about the Tin Angel when dining out - this is a mistake on our part. We have NEVER had a bad meal, never had bad service - and NEVER had a bad experience at The Tin Angel. The food is always excellent and moderately priced. The staff have always been excellent - especially with their knowledge of the menu and wines, and with their recommendations."

"I had dined at Tin Angel once before and wanted to share the experience with others. Our entrees were delicious. All of the menu options sounded so appetizing, it was difficult to choose. I was so pleased that their experience was as pleasant as my first. Everyone truly enjoyed the food and atmosphere. We will definitely be going back soon."

"Service was perfect -- not too little, not too much -- great advice. Food was exceptional; portions were just right (a rarity). The only improvements would've been having a table not by the service station...and if our food arrived a little faster. It took about 40 min to get our entrees, but they were worth the wait."
